Chapter 11 Fainting

"Grandmother? Is she feeling unwell? Has the imperial physician been summoned?"

Although Emperor Kangxi was angry about the Empress Dowager's support for the Khorchin, nothing was more important than her health.

During those most difficult years, it was his grandmother who gave him all her love and helped him plan everything.

As he grew up, although he still wanted to be in charge of many things, he had changed a lot in the past few years. Apart from his dedication to Khorchin, he had become indifferent to other things.

"Please don't worry, Your Majesty. The messenger said that the Empress Dowager just wants to catch up with you, so she must be alright!" Li Dequan quickly explained.

Kangxi understood immediately. If it wasn't a health problem, then it was because he hadn't made a statement in the past few days that they wanted to push him for the sake of Khorchin!

Although she was still not very comfortable, she thought that it was not impossible to ask the Empress Dowager to bring that little rabbit into the palace.

Thinking this, Kangxi's expression improved considerably, at least he no longer felt the same repulsion he had at the beginning.

The Empress Dowager was unaware that Emperor Kangxi had already visited Harigana, so she was quite uneasy. Even though she knew that Kangxi would be unhappy because she wanted to bring back several concubines from the Khorchin tribe, she had no choice but to do so.

It is unknown what the Empress Dowager and Emperor Kangxi said, but the Emperor had a faint smile on his face when he came out of the Empress Dowager's tent.

"This servant greets Your Majesty!"

After leaving the Empress Dowager's quarters, Kangxi unconsciously walked towards the direction of Harigana's tribe.

Li Dequan followed Emperor Kangxi with trepidation, still wondering whether he should try to stop the emperor. Now, without any official title or status, if the women who had come with him learned of the emperor's intentions beforehand, the princess might be in grave danger.

But just as they approached the tents of the Borchijin tribe, they heard a sweet, cloying voice from not far away. Not to mention Kangxi, even Li Dequan found the affected manner unbearable.

Kangxi looked in the direction of the voice and was surprised to find it was Egeqihaburi of Harigana.

Habril blushed shyly as she looked at Kangxi. She hadn't wanted to appear before him so abruptly. But she had overheard the story of the Emperor saving Harigana a few days ago while Seinjiya and Baoliri were chatting.

Thinking of that flawless, fair face, she felt a little anxious. Harigana was indeed very beautiful; not only men, but even girls couldn't help but take a second look.

She knew she wasn't as beautiful as Harigana, but she refused to lose to her sister. Besides, she was a princess; what was wrong with wanting to marry the most capable man in the world?

So when she heard the news, she thought it over and decided to take the initiative. She felt that Emperor Kangxi, like her, was from a nomadic people, so the woman he liked should be as free-spirited as her, rather than someone as delicate and weak.

"Get up!"

Kangxi frowned, but considering that Harigana was her sister, he extended that affection to her and said this to her.

Habril stood up shyly, head bowed, wondering how she should answer when the Emperor asked her a question.

But after waiting for a long time, she not only didn't hear Kangxi's question, but she also heard the voice of his brother, Namuria.

"Habr, what are you doing standing here?"

Habril looked up in shock and looked around. Apart from Namuria, there was no one else there.

Filled with shame and indignation, she blamed everything on Harigana. If before she only wanted Harigana to live a worse life than her, now she wanted to turn Harigana's life into a complete mess.

Namuria wanted to say something more. Although this was indeed their camp area, they were too close to the emperor's tent, so it was best not to wander around.

But before he could finish speaking, Habur turned around with a gloomy expression and walked back into his tent, leaving Namuria confused.

However, Namuria is not one to overthink things. Seeing Habur's appearance, she assumed he was unwell and didn't chase after him.

Moreover, given Namuria's personality, even if he knew that Habur had been given the cold shoulder by Emperor Kangxi, he wouldn't comfort her.

In his eyes and heart, there was only his wife. His two younger sisters would get married sooner or later; everyone has their own destiny, and he didn't have time to care about that.

Just now, Li Dequan followed behind Kangxi and glanced back at Haburi, who was standing on the ground with her head down, circling her toes. He really didn't know how such a person could be so confident that the emperor would take her back to the capital.

Because of Habril, Kangxi lost the urge to visit Harigana. He had just expressed his feelings to the Empress Dowager, who had agreed to personally visit Harigana.

That's why he was so happy; he was just excited and wanted to go find Harigana.

"Princess! Please have something to eat!"

Dulan looked at Harigana, who was sitting on the bed in a daze, and wanted to comfort him, but didn't know what to say.

To this day, they still don't know why the emperor happened to be in the woods that day, or when the emperor first met the princess.

Harigana snapped out of his daze upon hearing Dulan's words, then forced a smile at her: "I can't eat, you can go down first! I'll be by myself for a while!"

Dulan wanted to try and persuade Harigana again, but then the voice of Princess Habril came from behind her. Her voice was filled with anger, and her eyes were sharp as she stared at Harigana. If eyes could shoot daggers, Harigana would probably be torn to pieces by now!

"Harigana! I always thought you were an honest and upright person! I never imagined you were so cunning! You've even learned how to seduce people!!!"

Habril's words startled the master and servant present, especially Harigana, who didn't know what she meant.

"Egeqi! What happened to you that made you come here to vent your frustrations?"

Harigana was already angry because of the incident a couple of days ago when she was scratched, and today she came in without even being notified.

Even if she has a good temper, she wouldn't be subjected to such slander.

If Harigana hadn't said those words, perhaps Haburi's anger wouldn't have been so great.

"Your Highness! Something terrible has happened! The Second Princess has fainted!"
