After An Jingzhi's confirmation, Master Yao ordered his servants to start digging.

If Master Yao had not promised to give them ten taels of silver each, these servants would never have dared to come to the backyard, let alone dig the ground.

After digging for a while, someone dug up something.

"Ah! Head! There's a dead head!"

Everyone looked at the excavated skull in horror and took a step back.

Master Yao looked at An Jingzhi in horror. An Jingzhi said calmly, "Keep digging. Don't stop."

Master Yao gritted his teeth, looked at his servants and said, "Don't stop, keep digging! I'll give each of you another five taels of silver!"

The servants thought that since there were so many people around in broad daylight, nothing should happen. They only earned a few cents a month, and if they dug a little, they could get fifteen taels. So they did it!

Inspired by the money, they all forgot their fear.

Mr. Yao then ordered the housekeeper to invite people from the government office. There were so many corpses, and the Yao family had only moved in less than a year. He would not take the blame!

After receiving the news, people from the county government rushed over quickly and the coroner began to perform an autopsy.

As everyone watched more and more bones being dug out for inspection, their initial shock turned into anger. There were so many corpses, at least ten or more!

The prefect immediately sent someone to check the time when Mr. Yao arrived in Kyoto and confirmed that he was not lying. He then called Mr. Wu over and also called An Jingzhi, the person who first discovered the corpse.
