“If I wasn’t absolutely sure, would I go with you? No matter how important things are over there, they’re not as important to me as myself and our two children. Stop talking nonsense, just go. I’ll take this food with me, so you’ll have time to eat something on the way.”

Hearing Lin Ying's tone, Zhao Qinghuai opened his mouth but then closed it again.

Now, Lin Ying has returned to the way she was when they first met, somewhat arrogant and spoiled.

He was certainly happy to see Lin Ying like this now, but he also missed the somewhat timid and hesitant Lin Ying from back then.

He dared not say another word. In fact, Zhao Qinghuai knew that Lin Ying was worried about him.

Zhao Qinghuai went to light the fire, while Lin Ying packed the family's dinner into two lunchboxes and a rice bowl. After thinking for a moment, she also packed the thermos, baby formula, and water bottle.

Zhao Qinghuai wasn't sure whether she was going to the town or the city, so she simply brought another half-bucket of water with her in the car. If she ran out of water, she could just get out and melt some snow.

With everything prepared, Lin Ying said to Zhao Qinghuai, "I'll drive, you eat first."

Zhao Qinghuai was still somewhat worried: "Will it work?"

Lin Ying chuckled: "Remove the 'ma'! Of course it'll work! You watch! Get in the car!"

Because Zhao Qinghuai needed to eat, one side of the cart was upright, and the other half was horizontal.

This way, the two children and Zhao Qinghuai could sit inside and eat while lying on top of it.

Zhao Qinghuai sat there, instinctively protecting the two children, his eyes fixed on what was ahead.

The two children, however, seemed quite at ease. Perhaps they were genuinely hungry, and they ate with relish, regardless of whether Zhao Qinghuai could eat or not.

Lin Ying got into the car, smiled at Zhao Qinghuai, and said, "I'll show you something."

As she spoke, Lin Ying pressed a button inside the car, and instantly, the back of the car lit up.

Zhao Qinghuai's eyes lit up. "What's this?"

Lin Ying smiled smugly: "I'll show you another one."

As she spoke, Lin Ying pressed another button, and the lights outside the car came on again.

Lin Ying explained, "This thing looks pretty good, but it's quite expensive. I bought two more flashlights and even disassembled the flashlights at home to make these lights. See that drawer on top? It has eight batteries in it, and I also have spare batteries. It should be fine for this trip. Now you can rest assured."

Zhao Qinghuai nodded: "I'm relieved, I'm relieved."

Lin Ying released the brake, and the car slowly moved forward. After driving out the door, Lin Ying got out, closed the door, and then drove away.

Lin Ying stared at the rearview mirror in disbelief: "I think I just saw Niu Niu."

Zhao Qinghuai was stunned: "Really?"

Lin Ying didn't know either: "I'll go down and take a look."

Zhao Qinghuai hurriedly said, "Wait, what if it's something else instead of these? I'll go."

As Zhao Qinghuai got out of the car, Lin Ying kept her eyes fixed on the back until she saw the two little ones appear in front of Zhao Qinghuai. She finally realized that they were her two little ones.

Zhao Qinghuai walked over, and the two followed: "You really didn't see wrong, it's them. We can't get rid of them no matter what we do."

Lin Ying frowned: "What should we do? We're almost in town, they'll scare people."

Zhao Qinghuai said, "It's good to let them come along. That way, I'll feel more at ease when you come back. Let them squeeze into the car."

Lin Ying said, "Wait a moment, let me tidy up here first."

As she spoke, Lin Ying closed the car door, first taking away Zhao Qinghuai's half-eaten meal and placing it on the front seat, then helping the two children put on warm clothes. After that, she handed Er Ya to Zhao Qinghuai and carried Shuanzi to the empty seat in front.

Then he folded the quilt and the sable coat together and put them on the floor.

Finally, Lin Ying placed the board horizontally on the car, thus dividing the space inside the car in two. But that wasn't the end of it.

Lin Ying got out of the car and took out another board from the roof, placing it vertically.

In this way, the space below is divided in two, which serves both as support and as a way to divide the space below.

It's actually a pretty good storage space.

The blanket was left at the bottom and not brought up, so Lin Ying put all the things in front of the car down as well. The space inside the car instantly became much larger.

Then he said to the two, "Come on up."

Without any hesitation, the two jumped up.

Lin Ying directed them to lie inside: "Don't move around."

After patting their two big heads once, Lin Ying picked up Shuanzi and carried him up as well.

Seeing that there was no room left in the back seat, Lin Ying moved her seat to the left. "You can sit on the floor with Er Ya in your arms."

Zhao Qinghuai looked at the overweight vehicle and found it somewhat amusing, thinking to himself that it would be faster for him to walk.

But looking into Lin Ying's eyes, he didn't dare.

Wow, his wife's aura is getting stronger and stronger.

So, Lin Ying could only sit on the left side to control the car, while Zhao Qinghuai sat on the empty floor next to her, holding Er Ya. Fortunately, there was a coat under them, so it didn't look so pitiful.

The car arrived in town smoothly, but as expected, it was the end of the year and it was dark, so there were no cars going to the city.

Lin Ying added water to the car and continued on her way.
