Episode 51: The Relationship Heats Up Further

Accompanying you through the years, warming our hearts through the times.

In a bustling corner of this vibrant city, Ah Yu, Zhong Hua, Su Yao, and her husband are weaving their own heartwarming story. Every little moment they spend together in their ordinary days is like a glittering star, illuminating their lives.

Ah Yu and Zhong Hua are striving on their respective career paths, with work pressure following them like a shadow, but they have never forgotten to leave each other that special warm space.

One sunny weekend afternoon, Ah Yu finished her urgent work early and called Zhong Hua: "Hua Hua, are you done today? The weather is so nice, let's go for a walk in the park, it's been a long time since I've had a proper relaxation." Zhong Hua was staring blankly at her drawing board on the other end of the phone, inspiration seemed to be playing hide-and-seek with her, impossible to grasp. Hearing Ah Yu's suggestion, she immediately perked up: "Okay, let's meet at our usual spot then."

In the park, the trees are lush and green, and the flowers are in full bloom. A gentle breeze carries the fragrance of flowers. Ah Yu and Zhong Hua stroll hand in hand along the winding path, the stone slabs under their feet making a soft sound, as if accompanying their companionship.

"I've run into a problem at work recently. I've revised the plan for a project several times, but the client is still not satisfied. It's really giving me a headache," Ah Yu said with a slight frown.

Zhong Hua gently patted his hand and comforted him, "Don't worry too much, think about it slowly, there will always be a way. You've overcome so many difficulties before, haven't you? By the way, I haven't had any inspiration for drawing lately, I feel like my brain is almost blank."

Upon hearing this, Ah Yu immediately had an idea: "How about we find some time next week to go out and explore some ancient villages or art districts? Maybe we'll suddenly have some inspiration."

Zhong Hua's eyes lit up: "Great! I think ancient villages are pretty good. Those old houses and old objects are very charming and will definitely give me a lot of inspiration."

As they walked, they shared their work troubles and funny stories. Before they knew it, they felt exceptionally relaxed, as if all their stress had been blown away by the park's gentle breeze.

A few days later, Ah Yu took a day off and accompanied Zhong Hua to a quiet ancient village. In the village, the bluestone paths meandered, the mottled walls were covered with the marks of time, and strings of bright red dried chilies hung under the ancient eaves, full of the warmth and life of everyday life.

Zhong Hua excitedly carried her easel, looking around and pausing every now and then to gesture at a quaint corner, trying to capture the beautiful scene before her on paper. Ah Yu quietly followed behind her, carrying her paint box, and occasionally offering her opinions: "Hua Hua, look at this angle. The sunlight is shining on that old window, creating a particularly beautiful effect of light and shadow. It would definitely have a very artistic feel if painted like this."

Zhong Hua looked in the direction Ah Yu pointed and nodded repeatedly: "Wow, you're right. How come I didn't notice that? You have such a keen eye."

After spending a whole day in this ancient village, Zhong Hua had a fruitful day. Several first drafts were already on her easel, and a satisfied smile beamed on her face. Seeing her happy expression, Ah Yu felt incredibly happy too. As long as she could help Zhong Hua solve her problems and make her smile, anything she did would be worthwhile.

Zhong Hua, too, was always mindful of Ah Yu's hard work. Once, Ah Yu took on a big project and worked overtime for several weeks in a row, leaving her completely exhausted. That evening, Ah Yu dragged her weary body home, and as soon as she opened the door, she smelled the aroma of food.

"You're back! You must be tired. Go wash your hands and get ready for dinner," Zhong Hua said gently as she walked out of the kitchen wearing an apron.

Looking at the table full of delicious dishes, Ah Yu felt a warm feeling well up in her heart: "Hua Hua, you made so many delicious dishes, it must have been so hard for you."

"It's not hard work. You've been working so hard lately, you need to make sure you get some nourishment." Zhong Hua smiled and pulled Ah Yu to the dining table.

After dinner, Zhong Hua had Ah Yu lie down on the sofa and began massaging his shoulders: "You've been under a lot of pressure lately, your muscles must be tense. Let me massage them to help you relax." Ah Yu closed his eyes comfortably, feeling Zhong Hua's thoughtful care. He was filled with gratitude and love, and the fatigue from work seemed to dissipate instantly.

In the mundane details of life, they carefully nurtured their relationship. Every moment spent together and every act of care deepened their love, making it like a fine wine that becomes more fragrant and mellow with each sip.

Seeing Ah Yu and Zhong Hua so sweet and happy, Su Yao and her husband were genuinely happy for them. One leisurely evening, Su Yao suggested, "We haven't gotten together in a long time. How about we invite Ah Yu and Zhong Hua to dinner tonight and have a good chat?" Her husband readily agreed.

So they arranged to meet at a cozy private restaurant. The lighting was soft, and the aroma of delicious food filled the air. Everyone sat together, laughing and chatting happily.

"Ah Yu, I heard your project is progressing quite smoothly, that's really impressive," Su Yao said with a smile.

Ah Yu scratched her head: "It's all thanks to Hua Hua's support. If it weren't for her by my side, I think I would have been worried to death."

Zhong Hua blushed and scolded, "Oh dear, it's not as exaggerated as you say. You yourself are very hardworking."

Su Yao's husband joked, "You two are really showing off your love, but we're happy to see how good your relationship is. By the way, Su Yao has been quite accomplished at work lately; the project she's in charge of has received high praise from her boss."

"Wow, Sister Su Yao, we really need to celebrate!" Zhong Hua said happily.

Everyone chatted amongst themselves, sharing snippets of their lives—small achievements at work, little anecdotes from everyday life. Laughter echoed through the room, and warmth flowed through everyone's hearts.
