Large ships sail around the islands of the world's outer seas, nomadic tribes roam above the oceans, and high tower cities stand between heaven and earth. Roaring blood-silver engines, exquisit...
Thank you to the three friends who have been following the book all along, especially Dou Qi Storm, you have always supported me, I am very grateful.
Actually, I'm not sure whether to continue writing now. I originally planned this book to have ten levels, which would have been a long story, but as I wrote, I found that many parts were different from what I had imagined.
I used to be a reader of online novels. However, I first got into the genre not online, but in junior high school. I borrowed many physical copies of online novels from a bookstore near my school and became instantly engrossed. From then on, I always wanted to write my own online novel. I thought about it throughout junior high, high school, and college.
I wrote a novel in junior high school. The protagonist was a close classmate of mine. In the story, he was a super special forces soldier who could blow up seventeen tanks with a grenade. I had a globe at home, and I would spin it around, fantasizing about wars breaking out on lands that I knew nothing about and only had a name for. Tanks, warships, airplanes, and army groups were fighting.
Of course, it was written terribly, to the point of being a black mark on my historical record.
However, when I actually started writing, I discovered many problems. I would often look at my own novels every day or a week and find that I couldn't read them anymore. They were really badly written, and I couldn't find any way to improve them.
The plot, pacing, descriptions, characters, world design... there are so many things that need to be done well.
I went to many forums to look up writing methods and read what the experts said. I was shocked. I realized that I also had many of the problems that were criticized there.
I don't know the answer to what kind of stories readers like and can keep reading; I'm very confused.
As I wrote this story, I kept thinking and doubting myself:
Do people enjoy reading the stories I write?
These doubts, without exaggeration, shattered my self-confidence.
I don't know if I will continue to update this book, or if I will abandon it and rewrite it using the methods I have learned. In any case, such thinking takes time and cannot be done blindly.
Finally, thank you all so much!
