Chapter 115 Playing Chess

Chen Jing made no attempt to disguise himself, not even changing his armor. Noticing Li Si's gaze, Chen Jing had no choice but to step forward and bow, saying, "Priest."

Two guards, completely shrouded in black robes, accompanied Li Si. Even when they got close, their faces were not visible under the hoods. Their bodies were stiff, but they exuded the scent of perfume.

When Li Si saw Chen Jing, he said in a detached tone, "I was going to tell you this when you gathered after your break, but since I've run into you now, come with me."

Chen Jing thought to himself that he still had things to do, and he still needed to find the Xie Zhi sculpture, so he asked, "What is it?"

"I'll exorcise the evil spirit for you." Li Si's heavy steps didn't stop, and the two black-robed guards didn't even glance at Chen Jing.

Uh... Chen Jing had no choice but to follow.

"Have you found a solution?" Chen Jing asked curiously. He remembered Li Si saying that the Black Hand gang probably didn't have a solution.

"It's not me, it's the gang leader." Li Si didn't turn around and led Chen Jing towards the ship area.

Chen Jingxian didn't ask what the method was, but instead politely said, "Is there anything I can do for you here? I can go to the ship area myself."

“There is something, but it’s not urgent. I can take you there first.” Li Si’s voice was very neutral. If you only listened to his voice and tone, it would be hard to imagine that there was a red-haired beauty under the helmet.

Chen Jing didn't ask what it was about: "What method is it?"

Li Si chuckled: "Do you think I can kill you? I don't know how either, but don't worry, you won't be abandoned."

Chen Jing felt a little relieved. Although he didn't trust the Black Hand Gang, they were so powerful that they didn't need such a grand method to deal with him.

In Chen Jing's view, Li Si's swaggering way of taking him to the ship area was more like announcing that he was someone Li Si was protecting.

I just don't know if she knows that her two previous followers were killed by Chen Jing.

However, Chen Jing did not regret killing them. If he hadn't killed them, with two extraordinary individuals and even a Blood Realm cultivator obstructing him, his escape with his sister wouldn't have been so smooth.

Chen Jing smelled the strong perfume emanating from the two black-robed guards beside Li Si and a thought struck him. He asked in a low voice, "Didn't you say that you didn't like having zombie guards for your own reasons?"

Li Si didn't turn around: "You have a keen eye for observation, that's a good thing."

"But sometimes advantages can be exploited, and strengths can become weaknesses. Preconceived notions can put you in danger."

Chen Jing frowned slightly upon hearing this, then understood the meaning behind her words.

These two black-robed guards were not the zombies Chen Jing had imagined, using perfume to mask the stench of death; they were something else entirely!

They're fishing!

If anyone targeting Li Si believes that the black-robed guard is merely Li Si's zombie, this information gap could cause their plans to go terribly wrong!

Chen Jing smirked and followed Li Si through the market in the dock area, arriving near the large ship.

The traces of the battle have been completely cleared away, and it is almost impossible to tell that a fierce firefight had broken out here before. People are bustling about, and the atmosphere is lively in the thin mist.

Order has been restored here.

Chen Jing followed Li Si onto the large ship. The soldiers and guards around them looked at him with awe. People often stopped to bow to Li Si and respectfully called him "Priest".

This is differential treatment. When Chen Jing wore the token on her waist, others didn't ask any questions. But when it came to Li Si, she didn't even wear the token. She was just wearing her signature armor, and all the guards and soldiers had to greet her when they saw her.

Once inside the large ship, Chen Jing followed Li Si to a place that resembled a duty room.

Another Li Si, with rough red hair, sat in a chair there, idly playing chess with black in his left hand and white in his right, seemingly playing a game of chess with both hands.

Chen Jing guessed that she was Luo You and wasn't too surprised. He glanced at the game and realized that it wasn't Go, but Gomoku.

When Luo You, disguised as Li Si, saw the real Li Si bring Chen Jing in, she chuckled and said, "What, did your best friend come to relieve you early?"

Luo You, disguised as Li Si, used a pure female voice, which was quite pleasant to listen to, but inexplicably had a teasing tone.

Li Si ignored her or him, and said in a neutral voice, "He is Chen Jing."

Luo You glanced at Chen Jing, then smiled:

“I know him.”

"The boss is resting and hasn't arrived yet. Tell him to sit here and wait. He'll be here soon."

As he spoke, Luo You, who resembled Li Si, gestured towards a chair with his lip.

Chen Jing glanced at the real Li Si, who nodded, turned around and left without even saying goodbye.

Luo You, who appeared to be a red-haired woman, shook her head and gave Chen Jing a beautiful smile: "Young man, do you know how to play chess?"

Chen Jing sat in the chair and said cautiously, "Yes, Lord Luo, I know a little."

Chen Jing had previously considered whether he could ask Luo You, a cultivator of Dao Qi, about the cultivation method of Dao Qi, but later he felt that it was a rather dangerous thing and that it would be easy to expose his flaws.

In Luo You's presence, anything he sees could be an illusion! This was a lesson Chen Jing learned from Mo Wujiang.

"I'm so famous that even newcomers to the gang know me?" Luo You smiled brightly.

Chen Jing quickly tried to establish a connection, saying, "It was Mr. Luo Jiu who invited me to join the gang."

Luo You continued with a smile: "Enough talk, let's play chess."

With her pale arms, she swept the chess pieces off the board, picked up a black piece, and placed it on the center point.

Chen Jing raised his white piece and placed it in the upper left corner of the center position.
