Chapter 88 Return 2

The continuous gunfire rang out, jarring our eardrums.

Holding the gun, Cang Weiwo seemed to have seen an enemy, fiercely pulling the trigger, each shot piercing through the heart. His eyes were sinister and ruthless, like a wolf ready to tear you apart at any moment.

Xiao Yan came in with her phone, slowly approached him, and then stood behind him.

After a while, the gunfire stopped. Cang Wei slowly turned around, looking calmly at his brother, his eyebrows slightly raised.

Xiao Yan handed him the phone. "It's a call from Y City, saying Ling Ruoke is in his hands, if—" Before he could finish speaking, the phone was snatched away.

Xiao Yan watched him hold the phone to his ear and stride away. After a long silence, he shook his head helplessly. He'd gotten himself into such a mess over a woman, yet still thought it was hatred. Only he could be so foolish in the world.

Anticipating that the call was almost over, Xiao Yan hurriedly followed. He feared that someone or something else might suffer; the Fengyun Gang had already lost a lot of assets recently, and he couldn't afford to make things worse.

Cang Wei held the phone to her ear and said calmly, "Hello?"

"Cang Weiwo, do you still remember me?" The voice on the other end carried a sense of vengeful pleasure and the triumph of years of hard work and perseverance.

Cang Weiwo coldly curled the corners of his lips and said coldly, "What kind of stupidity makes you think you have this honor?"

"You—" The other end was speechless with anger, then added a threat. "Cang Weiwo, keep your empty promises. Ling Ruoke is in my hands now. If you want to save her—"

Before he could finish speaking, Cang Wei interrupted him. "Looks like calling you stupid is too kind. A simple online search will tell you that Ling Ruoke means nothing to me anymore. Using her to threaten me is utterly foolish and laughable. Do as you please, I have no time for that."

He hung up the phone after saying that. His hand, clutching the phone, almost crushed it.

A short while later, a text message arrived: "If you don't show up within eight hours, for every minute you're late, I'll slash her with a knife until you do. I want to see if you can just ignore her! Even if I bet on the wrong person, it's not a loss. To be honest, after all these years, Ling Ruoke is still so youthful and radiant, her skin as smooth as tofu..."

Contrary to Xiao Yan's expectations, Cang Weiwo did not lose his temper this time. Instead, he calmly issued the order:

"Order someone to prepare a plane and fly to Y City immediately. Have the investigation continue; find out where they are as soon as possible! It must be quick!"

"You're going to fly to Y City yourself? Those people already have a lot of complaints about you, are you really planning to walk into the line of fire?" This time the commotion has been too big, arousing a series of suspicions from above. Leaving Y City for Ling Ruoke now is really not a wise move.

"I can't control that much." Cang Weiwo frowned slightly, but her tone was indifferent.

Xiao Yan knew that no one could stop him. He could only sigh inwardly, "Even heroes can't resist the charms of a beautiful woman!" The key was that the hero himself didn't know it, or was unwilling to admit it!

...

"Don't waste your time. I won't show up. He'd love for you to torture me for him. He'd love to watch the show." Ling Ruoke was tied to a chair, her face swollen from being beaten, her whole face deformed.

Xu An frowned as he smoked, then replied, "Let's take a gamble. Like I said, even if he doesn't come, I won't lose out. Anyway, I've been lusting after you for years, so I might as well have my fill of this. When I'm tired of you, I can sell you to some remote mountain village to be an old bachelor's wife, and I can still get tens of thousands for that, right?"

Ling Ruoke was so angry she almost vomited blood, and couldn't help but curse, "Mei Yanting must be blind to have fallen for someone as beastly as you!"

Instead of getting angry, Xu An laughed. He walked over, exhaling smoke, and grabbed Ling Ruoke's chin. "That's perfect, we're just a blind couple. If I hadn't been blind enough to fall for you, I wouldn't be in this situation today. If I'm not doing well, you won't have a good life either! Let's just slowly wear each other down and see who dies first!"

Ling Ruoke glared at him, remaining silent. She knew that Xu An was nothing but a beast at this moment, and reasoning with him would be futile. The places on her body where he had punched and kicked her ached terribly, but she could only grit her teeth and endure the pain. She secretly rejoiced; as long as she wasn't raped by this beast, a beating was nothing!

The refrigerator has already been given to them. The few bottles of beer that were bought earlier were left on the table, and Xu An took them and drank them.

Ling Ruoke's hands and feet were bound, making it difficult for her to breathe and causing her to feel unwell enough to cry. Her injuries also ached terribly, and she drifted off to sleep. In her dream, she was slapped hard across the face.

The moment she opened her eyes, she saw Xu An, his eyes red, undressing her. Ling Ruoke screamed in terror, but with her hands and feet bound, she couldn't move him an inch.

Xu An grabbed a tissue from the side, tore off a piece, crumpled it, and stuffed it into her mouth. Then, he lowered his head and began tearing at her pants. He used extreme force, pinching her hard until her legs were covered in bruises.

The tissue became soft and smaller when it was soaked with saliva. Ling Ruoke spat it out and yelled at the top of her lungs.

Xu An covered her mouth with his hand and slapped her hard across the face again. "I'll teach you to scream, I'll teach you to scream!" His eyes were bloodshot, and he was acting like a madman.

He covered her mouth while lifting her onto the table with a stool, then grabbed a dishcloth and shoved it into her mouth. He then turned and went into the kitchen, returning shortly with a ladle of water.

"Go ahead and scream, I'll make sure you never scream again!" Xu An ripped the rag out of her mouth, grabbed her lips, and started pouring the contents of her mouth down her throat with a ladle.

As the liquid slid down her throat, Ling Ruoke struggled in agony...

...

When Ling Ruoke regained consciousness, she desperately wanted to cry. Her throat felt like it was being pierced by a thousand needles at once; her face burned; and her whole body ached…

Her brows furrowed deeply, a testament to her suffering. She tried to groan, but no sound came out; she could only struggle in agony.

After struggling for a long time, Ling Ruoke slowly opened her eyes. Her mind was still somewhat hazy, and she stared blankly at the white ceiling for a long time before slowly regaining her senses.

It hurts, it hurts so much! That's the only feeling I have.

Ling Ruoke couldn't hold back her tears. The feeling was unbearable, like she was about to die. Yet, she was forced to live, to suffer like this! Filled with resentment and despair, she couldn't help but sob. Her throat was injured, and she couldn't make a sound, only the sound of her breathing.

After a while, the door opened. Hearing the sounds coming from the bed, he strode in.

Ling Ruoke looked at the suddenly appearing dark figure through her teary eyes. After a while, she finally recognized it as Cang Weiwo. Her heart jumped into her throat, and she struggled to get up and run away.

"Don't move!" Cang Weiwo held her down. "Your condition isn't good. Even if you want to escape, you have to wait until you've recovered."

Ling Ruoke opened her mouth to speak, but found only excruciating pain, unable to utter a sound. She panicked instantly; she would never be able to speak again! In her agony, she recalled the horrific pain of Xu An forcing bright red chili water down her throat. Tears streamed down her face; she no longer cared who the person in front of her was, even if he might be pleased and mocking her!

“Your throat is severely choked, and you have multiple injuries on your body. You must rest and recover.” He slowly leaned down and whispered in her ear, “If possible, you cannot even die before I feel I’ve done enough. So, take good care of yourself.”

After saying that, he opened the door and went out.

Shortly after, doctors and nurses filed in. The attending physician, standing outside the door, received a threat: "If anything happens to her, you'll pay with your life."

Ling Ruoke felt only despair, tears silently streaming down her face. She didn't care what those people were doing to her; after being pricked with an acupuncture needle, sleepiness soon overcame her, and she fell asleep.

Cang Weiwo stood by the long window outside the door, smoking. His face was hidden, leaving only his tall, imposing back, defiant and lonely. He gave the impression of a lone wolf, ready to unleash a defiant howl in the dead of night, awakening the world.

After the doctor left for a while, Cang Wei stubbed out his cigarette and went back into the room.

The person on the bed had been given a sedative and was already asleep. Tears still clung to the corners of their eyes, wetting their thin face.

He slowly reached out, his thumb lightly scraping his face, leaving it damp. Somewhat irritated, he grabbed a tissue from the table and wiped the water stains from his face. After doing this, as if he were still angry with someone, he angrily threw the tissue into the trash can.

As I combed my hair, the urge to smoke returned. But looking at the person sleeping soundly in bed, I resisted.

...

Ling Ruoke didn't know how long she had slept. When she woke up again, her throat and body didn't hurt as much. With the pain subsiding, she became much more lucid.

She had barely moved when someone stood up and asked her with concern.

Ling Ruoke stiffened for a moment, then shook her head and slowly turned her gaze, noticing that there was only one nurse in the room; Cang Wei was not there. Her nerves immediately relaxed, and she couldn't help but exhale a sigh of relief.

Her throat pain had subsided considerably, and she tried to make a sound, but found that she still couldn't.

"Are you thirsty? I'll get you some water right away, just wait a moment!" In no time, he poured a glass of water and used a spoon to bring it to her lips.

Ling Ruoke was really coughing; the dry, painful feeling in her throat was unbearable. She couldn't wait to open her mouth and hold the little water. When she swallowed, her throat felt like it was being cut by a knife, and she winced in pain.

"Your throat is injured, so you can't swallow forcefully. Slowly let the water seep down little by little, and it won't hurt as much."

Following her method, Ling Ruoke felt much better, though the pain was still there. Her throat was soothed, and her brows relaxed somewhat.

The nurse brought over a basin of water and carefully wiped her face, hands, and feet, taking excellent care of her.

"Tell me where it hurts. I know you can't speak yet, so just make a little noise and I'll know."

Ling Ruoke nodded, staring blankly at the ceiling. After all this time, it's back in Cang Weiwo's hands—what a joke!

I wonder if Qingfeng has returned from his mission? Was he injured? Did Peishi receive all those things? Qingfeng must be very anxious to see the items but not be able to find him. Will he act impulsively again...?

Her mind raced with anxiety, but she dared not show it on her face. She only hoped that Qingfeng would return safely from his mission; nothing else mattered!

For several days in a row, Cang Wei did not appear.

Ling Ruoke's nerves gradually relaxed. She asked the nurse to bring some books, and she would read them when she felt like it. Her injuries had healed a lot; they were all superficial and not serious. However, she still couldn't speak or eat, otherwise it would hurt terribly. Each time she ate, she could only drink porridge, which was like drinking water, seeping down little by little, making it extremely difficult to eat. Nevertheless, her overall condition was slowly improving.

About a week later, his injuries had almost healed. He could speak again, but his voice was terribly hoarse, like the unpleasant sound of a broken pot.

Another week passed, and Ling Ruoke had fully recovered. However, her voice might not have regained its former clarity, remaining slightly hoarse.

When Cang Weiwo pushed open the door and walked in, Ling Ruoke was not surprised.

"Let's go." His thin lips parted slightly, uttering cold words.

Ling Ruoke looked back at him and asked, "Where are we going? The Cang family mansion?" After going around in circles, are we going back to that empty mansion? And will there be one strange woman after another, and another live sex show?

"Yuntian Villa." Cang Weiwo reached out and pulled her towards the door, his expression somewhat impatient.

Ling Ruoke was not used to being so close to him, and she struggled to move her body.

"You'd better stay still, or I can't guarantee I won't take you in front of others!" He tightened his grip on her arm, lowered his head, and pressed his lips to her forehead, threatening her coldly.

Ling Ruoke's heart skipped a beat, and she cried out, "If you dare touch me, I'll kill myself!" She would rather die than have a relationship with him!

"Fine. Even if you die, I will fight with everything I have to kill Huo Qingfeng." He smirked and uttered these cold words.

You bastard!

"Didn't you already know?" Cang Wei chuckled softly, pressing his face against Ruoke's, seemingly feeling much better.

...

Ling Ruo had visited Yuntian Villa, right when they were deeply in love. At that time, he was like a king, displaying his kingdom to the woman he loved.

Three years have passed, and when I returned here, everything had changed.

Ling Ruoke took a deep breath, exhaling the heaviness in her heart. To her, Yuntian Villa and the Cang family mansion were no different; both were prisons. What awaited her was nothing but imprisonment and torture.

This time, however, she felt stronger, because a firm belief had taken root in her heart. At least, she wouldn't be lost; she had a clear direction! All she had to do was protect herself. She believed that Qingfeng would come!

Turning her head to look at the guards outside the villa, a sense of unease crept into her heart. Cang Wei had imprisoned her here, and he must have laid a trap, waiting for Qingfeng to walk right into it, so he could catch him like a turtle in a jar!

Thinking this, she felt a surge of anxiety, her hands clenching into fists involuntarily. Even if she were imprisoned for life, she didn't want Qingfeng to suffer any harm!

Upon entering the villa, Cang Wei sat down on the sofa, lazily resting his hands on the back. His dark, sharp eyes locked onto Ling Ruoke. A slight smile curved the corners of his lips.

Ling Ruoke sat down on the other sofa, and a servant poured her some water. She held the glass in her hands and sipped it slowly, her gaze fixed on the floor. Gradually, her gaze became unfocused, and her thoughts drifted away.

Cang Weiwo slowly frowned. How could he not see that the woman before him had already left her body? A surge of anger rose within him because of this disregard, prompting him to suddenly stand up and stride over.

Ling Ruoke was deep in thought and didn't notice the danger approaching at all.

From my vantage point, Cang Wei could see her long eyelashes drooping slightly, obscuring her bright, clear eyes. He reached out and snatched the cup from her hand.

Ling Ruoke was startled awake. She looked up abruptly and met Cang Weiwo's gaze. The next second, she was pushed and fell onto the sofa. Before she could react, Cang Weiwo had already leaned down on her, their faces almost touching, his breath on her face.

"Get away from me!" Ling Ruoke reached out to push him away, but she couldn't budge him at all.

With a slight effort, Cang Wei lowered his head and kissed her tightly pursed lips.

Ling Ruoke quickly dodged. His kiss landed on the back of her neck. The hot, wet sensation made her shrink back. His face was buried in the back of her neck, his breath burning her skin.

"Cang Weiwo, let me go, let me go!" Ling Ruoke struggled, but he was too heavy and she couldn't move at all.

Cang Wei clung to her for a moment, then moved aside and sat down beside her. With a forceful pull, he lifted Ruo Ke onto his lap and laid her down.

Just as Ling Ruoke was about to breathe a sigh of relief, her body tensed up again. Seeing his lips about to fall again, she grabbed his face without thinking. Her nails slid silently, leaving two streaks of blood.

Cang Wei paused, slowly turning his gaze to look at her. Her face was expressionless, revealing neither joy nor anger, yet her gaze was chilling.

Ling Ruoke swallowed hard and pushed his arm away. "I told you to let go!" Cang Weiwo actually let go.

“If possible, unless I let you leave, I will absolutely not allow you to escape from me again. So, you will be my woman sooner or later. You may escape today, but you won't escape tomorrow. When my patience runs out, I don't mind using force. In fact, my patience is almost gone.” He grabbed her and patted her cheek.

Ling Ruoke struggled to pry his hands away, hurriedly backing away, her face deathly pale. Finally, she collapsed onto the sofa, her legs weak and trembling.

A moment later, someone walked in from outside and whispered something in Cang Weiwo's ear.

Cang Wei walked over, lowered his head to touch her face, and looked directly into her eyes. "Ruo Ke, be good, don't try to escape anymore, you can't escape!" His tone was indifferent, but there was a sense of determination in his voice.

"If you're tired, go to your bedroom to sleep. Do you remember which room it is? If not, have someone take you up there."

After saying that, he glanced at Ruoke, turned around, and strode away.

Ling Ruoke let out a heavy sigh, her body almost collapsing onto the sofa. She knew, "Cang Wei, I won't kill her."

However, he will humiliate and torment her, making her wish she were dead!
