The Cuddled Cub is Three and a Half

A dragon lost an egg, but no one knew where it went. Little Anman, who transformed from an egg into a person, also didn't know she was a dragon. However, she knew she liked shiny things and the...

Chapter 37 An Ordinary Little Flower-Watering Prodigy

Grandpa Gu, valuing his status, stood on the upstairs balcony watering the flowers, unwilling to come down to the gazebo in the small garden outside to join them.

But even though he didn't go, Old Master Gu kept an eye on Xiao Anman's movements out of the corner of his eye.

The large old house became much livelier with the addition of a child.

Madam Gu doted on Xiao Anman, putting aside her once-cherished grandson.

The round table in the pavilion was laden with a variety of exquisite snacks.

Sitting on the stool, Xiao An, wearing a bright orange dress, ate with her little mouth bulging out, like a little hamster hoarding food.

"Our An'an has such a good appetite, she's not picky about food at all." As her own great-granddaughter, Madam Gu saw only virtues in her.

Picky eater?

Little Anman heard a new term, and after finishing her orange juice, she was holding a glutinous rice ball with a red dot in her two little hands and looking up at Old Madam Gu: "Are you a picky eater?"

?(ó?ò)

“Being a picky eater means that some children will only eat what they want to eat, unlike An'an who enjoys everything.”

Madam Gu explained with a smile, holding a small tangerine in her hand, ready to peel it for Xiao Anman to eat.

Gu Tingxiao, who was sitting to the side checking stock market trends on his computer, heard this and his thin lips pursed slightly, a faint smile that only he knew flashing across his face.

Madam Gu had never seen Xiao Anman shake his head like a rattle drum over a cup of vegetable juice.

Moreover, if it weren't for Gu Tingxiao's appearance later, Xiao Anman would probably have been able to fight to the end with her strong willpower and win.

So when other people play with the child they raised, they may only be interested in the novelty for a short time, but the one who takes care of and cares for her all along is the one who truly knows and understands her.

Gu Tingxiao was fully aware of all the little secrets hidden in the details that others were unaware of.

After they had finished their snacks, the old lady planned to take Xiao Anman to some places they hadn't been to before. Because she thought Gu Tingxiao's attire was too formal, she forced Gu Tingxiao, who was about to turn off his computer and go in with them, to sit down on a stool.

"An'an and I went out to play, what were you doing coming along?"

The old lady didn't even bother to hide the disdain on her face. She didn't know how to manage a household and only knew how to work all day long. Little Anman was very cute, but did she really want Little Anman to be left without a mother to take care of her forever?

Old Madam Gu had said this many times before, but because of Xiao Anman as a buffer, she now knew that saying more was useless and could only let Gu Tingxiao do as he pleased.

However, despite the buffer period, Madam Gu's original intention remained clear.

Gu Tingxiao did have some things to finish, so he went with Old Madam Gu.

However, when Xiao Anman saw that her father wasn't following, she ran over and hugged Gu Tingxiao's leg, tilting her little head and looking at him expectantly.

Daddy, why aren't you going to the duck?

Gu Tingxiao reached out and touched the soft top of An'an's head, saying, "An'an, go play with Great-Grandma first. Dad will be here in a bit."

Oh, I see.

After confirming that Gu Tingxiao would be coming back soon, Xiao Anman rubbed her little face against Gu Tingxiao's pants to express her reluctance to part with her clingy father, and then went to snuggle into the warm embrace of Old Madam Gu.

Gu Tingxiao suddenly felt like he was being comforted by his daughter...

It seems like this feeling isn't so bad?

Seeing his wife bring the little baby into the house, and hearing the noise, he realized they were coming upstairs.

Doesn't it look a bit strange to always be carrying around a small spray bottle?

After thinking for a moment, Grandpa Gu decided to put down his small spray bottle, turn around, and return to his usual spot—the study.

"An'an, your great-grandmother has prepared a room for you. It's right here. Come in and see if you like it."

Having put a lot of thought into preparing the room, Madam Gu hoped that Xiao Anman would take a liking to it at first sight, and then naturally allow her lovely great-granddaughter to stay there for a while.

Clutching at Madam Gu's sleeve, Xiao An, who was standing at the top of the stairs on the second floor, didn't first look at the room Madam Gu had pointed out to her, but rather at the huge glass balcony on the second floor.

The balcony is lush and vibrant with life.

Xiao Anman pointed to the balcony and then gently tugged at the hem of Old Madam Gu's clothes.

Her little face was filled with longing.

“An’an wants to go there first? Okay, let’s go together.”

The way Xiao Anman tugged at her clothes was so endearing that Old Madam Gu's heart softened, and she took Xiao Anman and headed towards the balcony.

Grandpa Gu loves growing flowers and also enjoys tinkering with them. There are several flowerpots placed in a prominent position on the balcony. Grandma Gu knows that those are the orchids that the old man liked and often tended to yesterday.

The small spray bottle that Grandpa Gu casually placed to the side was still full of water.

Staring at the small spray bottle that she could reach out and touch, Xiao Anman let go of the hand that was holding onto Madam Gu's clothes.

Actually, she just saw it; her great-grandfather was using this to water the flowers.

Seeing that Xiao An was staring intently at the small spray bottle, Madam Gu assumed that she wanted to play with it, so she readily picked up the spray bottle and watered the somewhat dry-looking orchid placed under the shelf next to her.

"Does An'an also want to water the flowers like this?"

Xiao An nodded, indicating she was thinking about it.

I tested the weight of the spray bottle in my hand, and it was about the right size for Xiao An to hold.
