Rest Stop Station Report: Shocking!!! Is it moral decay or is there another hidden reason, a 4.5 billion-year-old elder hires child labor!!!
Reincarnation Gate On-Site Feedback: The world'...
The naivety of the companions cannot be blamed; the treachery of the wanderers must be blamed.
One thing leads to another, and there are always unknown things waiting to trick them.
Having ventured into and out of the Land of Death countless times, and having done much futile work, the safest way to survive is to be cautious. Of course, being able to act decisively when necessary is also a prerequisite for survival.
"I think!" Cheng Shuang quickly spoke up. As everyone looked at her, the little girl blinked and pointed to a distant place, "Why don't we go take a look at the giant goldfish's tank first?"
Liu Juan nodded enthusiastically in agreement, "Yes, let's use the process of elimination. Let's check the water tank first. If we drain the liquid, the water tank might be safer?"
"If you have any concerns, feel free to speak them directly." Sihai immediately saw through the subtext between the two men.
Cheng Shuang chuckled and touched Liu Juan's beautiful, golden fishtail. "Sister Juan can survive in the water, but we might not be able to."
In short, the tools everyone was using to dig and smash things suddenly lost their appeal.
"Should we go back the way we came, or continue on?" Du Jun asked.
“I suggest we split into two groups,” Sun Han said.
"What if we split into two groups and find the exit?" Du Lushui frowned slightly.
Cheng Shuang held up a petal. "This was given to us by Uncle Hai. I'll write down how to use it on a piece of paper. You can read it yourselves." After saying that, she buried her head and wrote on a piece of paper. Si Hai took it first, read it, and then passed it down.
Du Lushui patted Sihai on the shoulder and asked softly, "Do you have any more? Give us a few more pieces so we won't get anxious if we can't contact you."
His words caught Liu Juan's attention: "After the group is formed, Youyou and I will tell you about your respective skills on the way. It would be best if you could practice them again when you reach the giant goldfish tank."
Although Du Lanshan did not realize he possessed a spatial compartment when he escaped from the water tank, his urgent desire to save himself and his younger brother led him to unconsciously retrieve a dagger from the compartment and break free of the confinement.
This instinct is innate; it can always be triggered again if someone guides it.
Cheng Shuang and Liu Juan are now the most familiar with the routines of the Death Land, and each of them leads a group.
Sun Han and Si Hai also need to be separated; keeping two strategists together is a waste.
Du Lanshan and Liao Yuewei are both formidable attackers, one on each side.
Finally, Liu Juan, along with Sun Han, Liao Yuewei, Du Lushui, and the shameless woman who insisted on following Liao Yuewei's 'Feng Jiakang', continued on their journey.
Cheng Shuang, Si Hai, Du Jun, Si Yue, and Du Lanshan walked back together.
Two groups set off simultaneously, recording the time. An amphibious vehicle led the way, with a speed not exceeding 60 kilometers per hour. They stopped to mark swimming creatures for no more than 5 minutes. The marking included three elements: time, serial number, and species on the opposite and sides.
They agreed to take a 20-minute break every two hours.
Cheng Shuang and the other three divided the work: she drove, the other four recalled their skills along the way, and if they encountered any swimming creatures, Si Hai would record the time and take a photo to collect a sample, while Du Jun and the other two would mark the container.
If ten people working together can't get one thing done well, then something really strange would happen.
Almost six hours later, Cheng Shuang returned to the tank containing the giant goldfish. There was less than an hour left before the agreed-upon seven-hour contact.
Sihai and Dujun were about to take a walk around when Cheng Shuang's comment that something was wrong startled them back.
"What's wrong?" April was fiddling with her paintbrush when she heard the girl's voice. She immediately looked over and saw the little girl pressing her face against the water tank, her eyes filled with a sharp and piercing look.
"Come and see." She smiled gently, her slender fingertips scratching at the glass of the water tank, pointing in the direction where the fish's tail had slid.
Du Lanshan also came over. He was tall, and when he looked into the tank, his view was mostly blocked by the slowly swimming fish tails. He immediately asked in confusion, "What's inside?"
Du Jun, however, glanced at Cheng Shuang, bent down, and looked into the water tank from her position.
The giant goldfish tank is too long and is not a complete unit. It is made up of several tanks of the same size, and it is one of the few tanks that stand close to the wall.
What Du Jun saw, however, were several black stains on the glass wall.
Cheng Shuang smiled and held up the signal pen in her hand. "At this height, it should be the words written by Sister Juan."
If it truly is a Möbius strip-shaped building, then Liu Juan's group is clearly facing the opposite direction...
Sihai and Dujun had an idea. One of them tore the paper into a Möbius strip and glued it back together, while the other randomly took a small piece and used two different colored pens to represent the two groups' routes.
If we compare the paper to a wall, the shortest distance between two groups of people starting from different directions and meeting again at the same time and speed is the distance between them. In other words, Liu Juan's group is on the opposite side of the wall of the giant goldfish tank.
Sihai hurriedly squatted down and stared intently at the blurry graffiti on the inner glass.
“It’s handwriting,” he affirmed, then stood up, ignoring the giant fish flapping its tail fin, and touched the seams of the tank, muttering to himself in confusion, “Could it move?”
But what's the point?
"I wonder if this fish eats people?" the little girl asked, resting her chin on her hand. She even measured the size of the fish's mouth. Wow, it could easily swallow her whole.
"You want to go in?" April was surprised by her boldness.
Cheng Shuang nodded. "How can we know the secret inside the water tank if we don't go in?" She stood up and explained, "When I was looking for you, I was heading in this direction."
She was now referring to the rear of the car. Without her saying anything more, everyone understood that the fish was now in sync with them. In other words, in this long and narrow but not very spacious tank, the fish had turned around on its own.
"So this active tank is to allow the fish to move around more freely?" Du Lanshan asked, looking bewildered.
All four of them looked at him at the same time.
Du Lanshan immediately stammered nervously, "No...isn't that wrong?"
Sihai chuckled and patted him on the shoulder. "There's nothing wrong with that. Your words reminded me that this fish is either very important or its location is very important. In any case, it's different from the other creatures here."
Along their journey, they encountered fewer than ten creatures capable of consciously swimming on their own. The tanks were all ordinary. Some of these creatures swam faster than the giant fish, but that did not indicate their importance. On the contrary, sharks and other fish of similar size to the giant fish were crammed into the limited tanks. They were not only unable to swim, but they also appeared dead, as if they had already lost all signs of life.
"Then...then this is the exit?" Du Lanshan rubbed his hands excitedly. "This awful place, the sooner we leave, the better. It's so gloomy that it's hard to breathe."
The densely packed, enormous water tanks do create a sense of oppression. Combined with the enclosed space, this gives a feeling of stuffiness and depression. It may not matter in the short term, but over a long period, it can easily wear down one's mental capacity.
Not to mention the few people whose memories were already incomplete.
If someone says or does something wrong because they are upset or irritable, the morale of the entire team will not only be weakened, but unnecessary estrangement will also be created.
