"Chiri, how about you sleep with your uncle tonight?" Cheng Shuang pushed open the iron gate of the Akasaka family's house and saw a car parked outside the yard. It must be Chiri Saeki's father coming home from get off work.

A thought struck her, and she casually touched the car engine area. It was still warm, indicating that the car had just stopped. She pulled Akasaka along and quickened her pace.

"Huh?" Akasaka asked, puzzled. "Why? You're not scared too, are you?"

Cheng Shuang didn't answer, but changed her shoes and went inside. Once in the entryway and living room, the man's voice, carrying a hint of relief at returning home, said, "Little Lily, pour me a cold beer, please!"

There was no response, only the sound of soft footsteps. The man continued, puzzled, "Where did Chisato and Yuko go? Haven't they gone home yet?"

Just as Qianli was about to speak, Cheng Shuang covered her mouth. Akasaka's mother was a friendly and cheerful person; she wouldn't be so cold to her husband.

Because of what happened before, Chisato inexplicably trusted her friend. Following her actions, she bent down and quietly entered the living room. The two of them watched as Akasaka's mother, with a numb expression, raised the rolling pin and swung it at the back of Akasaka's father's head, who was sitting with his back to the dining table.

"Mom!" Qianli cried out in terror.

Akasaka's mother didn't stop what she was doing, but the shout startled Akasaka's father. He instinctively twisted his body, avoiding the vital area around his head, and the rolling pin landed on his right shoulder.

The pain from the pounding was so intense that Akasaka's father saw stars instantly. He looked up in disbelief at his wife, who had raised the rolling pin again and was now towering over him. His confusion was mixed with deep resentment. "Chisato's mother, what are you doing!"
