The five-story arena wasn't very spacious, that was Cheng Shuang's first impression.

They stepped out of the gate by bending down through a low doorway.

My second impression was, wow, there are so many people!

The area was filled with thirty monsters that resembled both humans and zombies. Upon noticing their presence, they gave them no time to react and charged forward, running and jumping while howling.

Cheng Shuang inexplicably recalled the wild animals in the wildlife park, how they would rush forward so eagerly and joyfully when tourists threw live game into their food.

This untimely thought quickly crossed her mind, and she immediately went into a state of high alert, only to hear Du Lanshan exclaim, "Zombies!"

Compared to ordinary zombies, these in the arena are far more formidable. Some of the greedy and impatient ones can even leap over their companions' heads to pounce on them, their speed as swift as lightning. The bear cub's protective shield activated just in time, firmly protecting Cheng Shuang, while it roared to the sky. Instantly, the zombies surrounding the little girl seemed to have encountered the most terrifying species in the world. While they were distracted, the bear cub used its claws to break through the attack that a lightning-type zombie was about to launch.

The little girl then realized that her teddy bear was not conductive...

All the zombies that tried to pick on the weak were kept away from Cheng Shuang by Xiong Baobao. With a few punches, Xiong Baobao smashed the heads of two zombies. Finally, a zombie with the ability to control plants tried to use vines to bind Xiong Baobao and ambush Cheng Shuang, but Xiong Baobao casually ripped it and threw the crumpled vine ball back to the zombie.

One shot, and brains splatter.

Although the invisible protective shield dutifully enveloped Cheng Shuang, it was not very effective because the bear cub's fighting power was too strong, leaving no room for the protective shield to function.

Until a stream of water passed through the bear cub's body and successfully broke through its blockage, the remaining water condensed into tiny ice spikes from behind, which slammed into the protective shield and made a dent upon landing.

Anyone who tries to harm Shuang is a villain who deserves to die!

The situation is overwhelmingly one-sided.

Aside from the initial shock of their sheer numbers, the zombies, with their various abilities, crumbled like a house of cards in the face of overwhelming power.

Liao Yuewei killed another fire-type enemy, and after that, she basically didn't get a chance to fight.

Seeing this situation, Du Lanshan personally dealt with the two zombie bodyguards protecting him.

The battle ended unilaterally in half an hour.

Cheng Shuangchao ran over with a pained expression and looked the bear cub up and down. The bear cub was covered in blood and had a zombie tooth hanging on its arm.

At first glance, Du Lanshan and Liao Yuewei both gasped in horror at the sight of the bear cub. They had never seen a fearsome bear that went on a killing spree before, and now, facing the bear cub with its bared teeth and bloodshot eyes, they trembled from the bottom of their hearts.

Like a mutated beast that has gone out of control, it exudes a bloodthirsty aura that suppresses the instincts of all living beings, and it has rooted the two of them to the spot.

It wasn't until the little girl busily started using cleaning agents to groom the bear cub's sticky brown fur that the bear cub quickly cooperated by shrinking its body to make it easier for its two companions to do so. Only then did they suddenly come to their senses and feel extremely fortunate—thankfully, Shuangshuang and they weren't enemies!

Cheng Shuang checked it carefully and found that the teeth had only scratched the fur and had not actually hurt the bear cub. She breathed a sigh of relief.

The teddy bear, now at the mercy of the little girl, was no longer as fierce as before. It was obedient and even tilted its head when Liao Yuewei walked over.

Du Lanshan: What an adorable (and idiotic) creature!

From the fifth floor upwards, there would be a half-hour break for the second round. After thinking about it, the three of them packed up the zombie heads and stuffed them into their respective spatial pouches.

If, as described in the novel, the zombie's head contains a crystal core, it would be a real shame if they gave up picking it up because they didn't have enough time.
