If the honey badger couple were to enter the woods, with Ye Zi, Tong Tong, and the whole Black family around, a single glance from them could lead to a one-on-one fight between the honey badgers, which would be troublesome.

Yezi really likes the honey badger's indifferent attitude towards life and death and its "fight if you're not convinced" personality, so she's actually a little reluctant to kill it directly.
