Meanwhile, Li Yu returned to his residence from the site he had inspected. The guards there, curious, asked how they had conducted the inspection. Li Yu quietly explained to them...

"First, I'll ask you a few questions, and then I'll give you a book."

The guard's eyes widened. "What book?"

The kid was asking a question he already knew the answer to. Li Yu scoffed, "What else could it be? It's the kind of book you and your wife sneak up under the covers to read!"

"Then what?"

They eagerly awaited the next part, and Li Yu whispered, "Then they'll arrange a woman for you. That woman has seductive eyes and doesn't dress properly. Tsk tsk, she's showing way too much skin!"

"Oh? Really? How much was exposed? What did you see?"

"Did you see the undergarment? Is it big?"

They all cheered, and Li Yu chuckled, "Of course I saw it."

"Really? What color is the bellyband?"

Suddenly hearing someone ask him a question from behind, Li Yu subconsciously turned around. Before he could answer, he saw a pair of beautiful eyes staring intently at him, filled with murderous intent!

Li Yu gasped, realizing he was doomed. "Wife, let me explain!"

He was about to speak when Yunfang grabbed his ear and pulled him aside, saying, "Explain to me clearly what flowers were embroidered on that woman's bodice!"

The guards exchanged bewildered glances. "Oh dear! Li Yu probably won't be able to sleep in the bed tonight."

Poor Li Yu's ears were being pulled painfully, and he begged for mercy repeatedly, "It hurts! Wife, please let go first. This is in public, it's not a good look."

Yunfang glared at him angrily, "You still know this is in public? How dare you discuss women's undergarments with people? Don't you have any shame?"

Li Yu cried out that she was wronged, "They asked me, I didn't bring it up myself."

Yunfang had heard everything clearly. "You admit you saw it! I was worried about you at home, afraid something would happen to you, and you were there looking at women! Li Yu, you've gone too far!"

Yunfang grew angrier the more she thought about it. She gave him a disdainful look, shook off his hand, and refused to pay him any more attention. She walked towards Huatang Pavilion on her own.

Yunfang didn't believe him. "Why didn't you go home after the investigation was over? Did you just come here to show off?"

I was planning to go back after counting everyone, but I didn’t expect you to come looking for me.” Feeling his wife’s concern, Li Yu’s heart was filled with sweetness. Yun Fang immediately denied it, and said with a coquettish hum:

"Who's looking for you? I'm looking for Sister Yu."

"Didn't Su Gege tell you to take a vacation? Why aren't you resting at home? What are you doing here?"

"Mind your own business?" he said, and she retorted, giving him no friendly look whatsoever.

As they spoke, the two arrived at Huatang Pavilion, where Hongli was drinking chicken soup stewed by Su Yushan. He noticed Li Yu returning and asked him how things were going.

Li Yu smiled and replied, "Thanks to Fourth Master's good fortune, this servant has passed the investigation."

It seems the medicine really worked, but I don't know if he can recover afterward. Hongli had to be upfront about it: "If you can't recover, don't blame me!"

Li Yu naturally understood this. "How could that be! Fourth Master, you have done so much for me. I am so grateful that I would never blame you. Whatever the outcome, I will accept it. Let's leave it to fate!"

Upon noticing that his left ear was bright red, Hongli asked in surprise, "Why is your ear so red?"

Li Yu gave an embarrassed smile, glanced at Yun Fang, and found that Yun Fang was glaring at him. He didn't dare to tell the truth and made an excuse, "Well... I got bitten by a mosquito."

"Mosquitoes in the dead of winter?" Hongli thought he was talking nonsense. Li Yu just smiled and didn't say anything, while Yun Fang kept a serious face and remained silent. Seeing this, Su Yushan couldn't help but feel curious.

"It's a great thing that Li Yu escaped a disaster, you should be happy, why do you look so unhappy?"

Yunfang snorted angrily, "He really has reason to be happy. He's been admiring beauties all day and is secretly delighted!"

Li Yu couldn't help but retort, "Who's been watching all day? I was in line, okay? I was out for less than fifteen minutes."

Listen to his tone; he's clearly expressing regret. "Do you feel the time spent here was too short, and you'd like to stay a little longer?"

The two started arguing. Hongli coughed, and Li Yu quickly shut up, saying, "This servant was rude. Please forgive me, Fourth Master."

Out of consideration for Yu Shan, Hongli refrained from getting angry and patiently inquired about the reason.

Yunfang was still angry and unwilling to repeat herself, so Li Yu had no choice but to take the initiative to explain, "It's not a big deal. It's just that when I went to investigate, I was forced to glance at a woman a few times, and Yunfang got angry with me!"

Hongli knew this best. "It is indeed the rule, not because Li Yu is lustful. Yunfang, you don't need to overthink it."

Su Yushan covered her mouth and chuckled, but Yun Fang dared not offend the Fourth Master, so she immediately changed her tune, "The Fourth Master is one of those special cases."

Li Yu was inwardly bitter! She couldn't help but retort, "But I'm not exactly a man either!"
