Chapter 53 Returning Home

Qingyue packed up the things on the pharmacy counter and went out to the yard, only to find that it was already dark outside. Xiangqin had left some food for her in the small kitchen. She ate some and went straight back to the house, waiting quietly until late at night.

She couldn't wait a moment and had to go back to the general's mansion tonight.

The night is silent and the cold wind is blowing.

At three o'clock in the morning, everything was in deep sleep. Qing Yue got up, tiptoed out of the mansion, and headed straight for the general's mansion...

"She's out again?"

At Prince Yu's Mansion, Feng Ling had just fallen asleep when a report came from the secret guards outside.

Feng Ling frowned and sat up, her face stained darkly under the moonlight. "Follow her and see what she wants to do next."

This woman is so bold that she really doesn't take his words seriously.

"yes."

Qing Yue came all the way to the general's mansion. At this time, the entire mansion fell into silence. She had lived here for eighteen years and was very familiar with every blade of grass, every flower and every tree here.

There are guards patrolling the general's mansion. Any noise would alert everyone, and she would then be unable to defend herself.

Qing Yue covered her face with a scarf, turned around and walked towards the wall of the back door of the general's mansion. That was the North Garden of the general's mansion, where Qing Yunyao once lived, and her own yard was next to her.

The Qing family is the most loyal and righteous. Qing Yunyao died for her, so her yard must be reserved and no one else will be allowed to live in it. Therefore, Beiyuan is the best place for her to sneak in.

Qing Yue quietly walked around to the outside of the Beiyuan courtyard wall, took a deep breath, leaped up in a leap, and landed directly on the top of the wall. Then she carefully jumped into the mansion without making any sound.

The mansion was very quiet, and most people were asleep.

Qing Yue looked at the grass and trees in the yard. They were all trimmed very well, which showed that the people in the mansion had never slacked off in management.

Relying on her familiarity with the terrain, Qing Yue quietly sneaked from the North Garden into the nearby Plum Garden.

No one lived in these two adjacent courtyards, so there were no guards guarding them. Only the second and third courtyards had guards patrolling.

Qing Yue entered the yard. Red lanterns were hung on the corridor, and the dim candlelight cast a round shadow on the ground.

squeak.

A very light sound.

Qingyue pushed the door open and walked in.

Every furnishing in the room was incredibly familiar to her, and there were even more precious ornaments inside. Qing Yue's eyes welled up. She touched the phoenix-tail harp in the room. It was a gift from her second brother for her fifteenth birthday and had been her favorite. There was also the dressing table in the second bedroom. She had loved beauty since she was a child, and she would sit there to dress up...

There is a light-colored gauze curtain with lace, and a purple quilt on the bed.

These are the boudoirs she once lived in and used.

Qing Yunyao replaced her, but she still kept some of her habits. After all, she didn't dare to change too obviously.

Her eyes felt a little sore and tears welled up in her eyes. Qing Yue blinked and forced the tears back. Now was not the time to be nostalgic. She had more important things to do.

She sniffed, walked quickly to the dressing table inside the room, and reached out to move the dressing table outside.

Crash.

The dressing table made a slight sound, and Qing Yue suddenly didn't dare to move.

This dressing table is very heavy and is made of pear wood. Her eldest brother lives in the border all year round and found a good piece of wood but has been reluctant to use it. During his home visit once every few years, he would come back carrying a large piece of wood.

Her family dotes on her.

If one day her family knew that she died so tragically, and that she was killed by Qing Yunyao, how sad they would be.

Qing Yue sniffed and was even more careful this time, dragging the dressing table out as quietly as possible. Finally, a little bit of it was exposed, revealing the wall.

Qing Yue bent down and knocked three times on the wall at the lower left and upper right. With a click, a small secret door at the foot of the wall opened, revealing a small wooden box inside.

Qingyue's eyes lit up; the box was still there.

She quickly took out the box, opened it in the moonlight, and revealed two thick books inside.

The style of the book is simple and the pages are a little yellowed, which shows that it is quite old.

A medical code and a poison code.

There were also two sets of silver needles and several bottles of pills inside, which were all left to her by her master.

Qing Yue breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, she remembered her master's words at the time and did not show these things to anyone. Even though she and Qing Yunyao were like sisters, she did not tell her about this.

Qing Yue picked up the box and carefully put the dressing table back in its place. She took one last look around her former boudoir, suppressed the bitterness in her heart, turned around and left. It was not advisable to stay here for long. If her family found out, she would have no way to defend herself.

Qing Yue left the house, holding the wooden box in one hand and gently closing the door with the other. She turned around and was about to leave, but suddenly...

A sword energy broke through the air and went straight to his back.

"How dare you sneak into my general's mansion!"

In the dark night, a cold laugh suddenly sounded behind him, accompanied by a fierce murderous aura.

Qing Yue's face changed, and her body reacted almost subconsciously. She turned her head to avoid it and flashed to the side. When she turned around, she saw her second brother Qing Zhan, who was dressed coldly in the night.

Qing Yue was choked by her breath. She had never expected that her second brother would appear in her yard in the middle of the night.

Fortunately, she was wearing a veil at the time, otherwise her identity would have been exposed immediately.

Qing Zhan didn't expect that he couldn't sleep because he was upset about his younger sister being bullied today, so he thought about getting up and taking a walk, and somehow he came to his younger sister's yard.

The big drama that happened in the Princess's Mansion today not only made his sister feel uncomfortable, but he also felt bad.
