Buddhism is a quiet place, different from the fast pace of the city. Therefore, Huo Si did not rush to leave this time, but took Si Muyan to stay overnight.

Walking into the side room, Si Muyan smelled the strong sandalwood scent and actually found it pleasant.

After resting for a while, Si Muyan hurried out when she saw the message from Huo Si.

"Brother Si, where are we going?" Si Muyan blinked her big eyes, looking curious.

"Let's go eat." Huo Si replied in a low voice.

Rubbing her stomach, Si Muyan smiled and said, "I'm just a little hungry."

Soon, Si Muyan and Huo Si arrived at the cafeteria. When she saw the all-vegetarian dishes, Si Muyan was dumbfounded.

But seeing Huo Si calmly serving the dishes, Si Muyan had no choice but to swallow the words in silence.

At the table, Huo Si watched her eat in small bites, which was completely inconsistent with her usual style. "Are you used to it?"

Si Muyan nodded pitifully: "The vegetarian dishes here are a little different from what we usually eat. They have a taste."

“The temple uses vegetable oil, which has a different taste.”

After hearing this explanation, Si Muyan said "oh" and continued eating obediently.

But the food was not to her liking, so Si Muyan just ate a little to fill her stomach.

After leaving the dining hall, Huo Si held her hand and asked, "Are you not full?"

Si Muyan touched her still shriveled belly and said pitifully, "I'm still a little hungry."

Feeling distressed by her pitiful appearance, Huo Si took her hand and walked towards the back mountain.

Seeing this, Si Muyan was puzzled: "Brother Si, where are we going?"

"Back mountain."

"Why are you going there?"

"Catch some fish," Huo Si replied simply and concisely. "To fill your stomach."

Si Muyan's eyes lit up: "Catching fish? They look delicious. But, does that count as killing?"

Huo Si pinched her cheek and said, "I'm not a monk. What does killing have to do with me?"

Rubbing the flesh, Si Muyan's eyebrows curved: "Yes."

"Silly girl." Huo Si looked at her lovingly and continued walking forward with her.

Soon, the two passed through the bamboo forest and came to a clear stream.

In the hot season, as soon as you walk into the stream, a cool breeze blows towards you, taking away the stuffiness.

"Are there any fish here?" Si Muyan looked into the stream.

"Yes, quite a few." Huo Si replied in a low voice, "Waiting there."

"Oh oh." Si Muyan responded repeatedly and obediently ran to the shade of the tree.

Huo Si looked around and then walked towards a large rock not far away.

Just when Si Muyan was curious, she saw Huo Si take out a fruit knife from behind a stone.

Then he went to the bamboo forest, cut off a thinner pillar, and sharpened the top of the bamboo into a pointed shape.

Seeing his skillful movements, Si Muyan boldly guessed: "Brother Si, it turns out you are a habitual offender."

"I came here to catch fish when I was a child." Huo Si answered casually.

After preparing the fishing tools, Huo Si took off his shiny black leather shoes, rolled up his trouser legs, and then walked into the stream.

Huo Si stared at the water, as if waiting for prey. Seeing this, Si Muyan held her breath and waited.

Suddenly, Huo Si quickly thrust his bamboo fork into the water. When he raised it, he saw a fish was successfully caught.

Si Muyan cheered: "Brother Si is so awesome!"

Huo Si calmly took the fish off and threw it onto the shore, then continued to spear fish.

But in a short while, Huo Si had successfully caught five or six fish, which made Si Muyan feel itchy.

"Brother Si, can I try it?" Si Muyan was eager to try.

Seeing her anticipation, Huo Si handed her the bamboo fork.

Si Muyan quickly took off her shoes, followed his example, rolled up her trouser legs, and excitedly held up the bamboo fork: "What should we do next?"

Huo Si stood behind her and held her hand. "Stand still and don't let the fish find you. Once you see the fish, determine its route and calculate the time..."

As he spoke, a fish passed by. Huo Si had calculated it in advance, and with a quick and accurate move, he speared the fish firmly.

"It's very simple, let me try." Seeing her expectant face, Huo Si walked to the stream and handed the home court to her.

"I'll grill the fish." Huo Si said simply, then built a stove with stones, cut the fish with a knife, lit the fire with a lighter, and put the fish on top to grill.

"Ah!" A scream broke the silence.

Huo Si quickly raised his head and saw Si Muyan lying directly in the stream.

Seeing this, Huo Si ran over quickly and helped her up.

"How about it?"

"My eyes learned it, but my hands didn't, and the fish ran away." Si Muyan frowned in frustration.

As she spoke, Si Muyan shuddered. Her whole body was wet, and a cool breeze blew, bringing a chill.

"You little fool, the fish escaped and you fell into the water."

Although Huo Si's words were reproachful, he bent down and picked her up like a princess, walked out of the stream, and went to a large rock nearby: "Come and get some sun."

Si Muyan crossed her arms and hummed softly.

Although the sun was shining and my top dried quickly, my jeans were difficult to dry and the coldness lingered.

"Brother Si, my pants are so wet and I'm cold." Si Muyan hugged her knees with her hands and said softly.

I came to her side and put my hand on her jeans, which were still wet.

"Otherwise, take it off and dry it in the dryer?" Huo Si felt a burning sensation on the tips of his ears as he spoke.

Si Muyan suddenly opened her eyes wide, her breathing disordered: "T...take off?"

Looking around, Si Muyan lowered her head shyly. Although there were not many people passing by here, Huo Si was a man.

"Well, take it off and I'll help you dry it. I'll give you my shirt." Huo Si explained calmly.
