Young intellectual Su Jin diligently cared for her in-laws for three years, never complaining, yet she received a divorce telegram from her husband, Zhou Zhenxing.
“Su Jin, ours was an arrang...
Chapter 25 I Want a Divorce
The room was small, with just a bed, a chair, and a small table crammed in.
A thermos and a basin were placed in the corner.
After taking off her cotton-padded coat, Su Jin immediately took off her shoes.
Sure enough, blisters had formed on both feet.
She went out to the front desk and borrowed a needle. After returning to her room, she rinsed the needle with hot water to disinfect it, and then popped the blood blister.
Although she has found Zhou Zhenxing, life will probably still be tough, so she has no right to be pretentious and can only rely on herself.
After cleaning the blood blisters, she didn't even eat, and fell into a deep sleep on the bed.
Zhou Zhenxing, who should have been in a meeting, was sitting in his dormitory room.
The door opened, and instructor Liu Wengao pushed it open and walked in.
"Zhou Lian, I heard your wife is here?"
Few people in the company knew about Zhou Zhenxing's marriage, and he was one of them.
"Your information network is quite impressive."
Liu Wengao was somewhat surprised by Zhou Zhenxing's listless reply.
"Isn't that a good thing? Why do you seem a little unhappy?"
It's been over a year since he last took a vacation, so it's no wonder people came looking for him directly.
Zhou Zhenxing said, "She came here specifically for me this time."
Liu Wengao was amused by his words. "Of course she came for you. What are you still doing here?"
"Otherwise, where should I be?" Zhou Zhenxing was feeling irritable.
Liu Wengao felt there seemed to be a communication barrier between them, "Of course I have to stay with my wife."
He said matter-of-factly, "They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. We've been apart for over a year. Shouldn't we be inseparable now?"
Zhou Zhenxing couldn't help but glare at him. "Staying out overnight for no reason, are you trying to make me make a mistake?"
"How can doing something with your own wife be considered a mistake?" Liu Wengao wasn't stupid; his reaction was enough to sound the alarm. "You don't have some ulterior motive, do you?"
Although there are many things to do in the company and the training is intense, it is definitely not to the point where the company commander needs to work non-stop for a year.
Now that the woman has come looking for him, his indifferent and dismissive attitude is definitely not right.
Zhou Zhenxing fell silent.
Liu Wengao frowned immediately, moved a chair over, and sat down facing Zhou Zhenxing.
"If I remember correctly, you've only been married for three years, right? Or is there some kind of problem between you two?"
After a few seconds of silence, Zhou Zhenxing spoke under Liu Wengao's serious gaze.
"I want a divorce."
Without any hesitation or tact, he said it directly.
Even though Liu Wengao had been mentally prepared, he was still taken aback by the man's decisive attitude.
"My Company Commander Zhou, do you know what you're saying?"
divorce?
Are military marriages so easy to end?
Zhou Zhenxing trusted him completely, so he never intended to hide it from him in the first place.
"I just want a divorce."
He repeated it again, his tone so firm that there was no room for negotiation.
Liu Wengao quickly calmed down and asked very rationally, "What's the reason? What did she do wrong? Or did she make some unforgivable mistake?"
If there's a compelling reason to leave, then perhaps it's still possible.
Zhou Zhenxing took a deep breath and then shook his head. "There is no affection between us. A marriage without affection is destined not to last."
Liu Wengao was so angry he laughed, and couldn't help but ask, "If you have no feelings, why didn't you do this earlier?"
