A post-90s female military doctor on night duty wakes up to find herself transmigrated to the 1970s, becoming an educated youth's wife.
After accepting reality, she works hard with her hu...
Sunlight filtered through dappled leaves, illuminating the somewhat dilapidated schoolyard and brightening the children's energetic faces. Lin Yue stood in front of the classroom, watching the children excitedly playing with their homemade teaching aids, feeling gratified, but also pondering another important issue—improving teaching methods.
Lin Yue wore a light blue shirt with a bow at the collar, looking elegant yet vibrant. Her hair was casually draped over her shoulders, a few strands fluttering gently in the breeze. Her eyes were deep and bright, reflecting her passion for education and her anticipation for children's growth. She knew that good teaching aids alone were not enough; appropriate teaching methods were even more essential to ignite children's learning potential.
Chen Yu walked over, wearing a white short-sleeved shirt that subtly revealed his muscular physique. His face, tanned by the sun, added to his masculine charm. "Yue'er, what are you thinking about? You look so serious," Chen Yu said in a deep, gentle voice, his gaze filled with concern as he looked at Lin Yue.
Lin Yue turned to look at Chen Yu, her brows furrowing slightly. "I'm thinking, we now have some teaching aids, but if the teaching methods remain the same, the children's learning outcomes might not be very good. We need to introduce some new teaching methods to encourage the children to learn more actively." A hint of worry was in her eyes; she knew that changing the traditional teaching model was no easy task and required the understanding and cooperation of the teachers.
Chen Yu held Lin Yue's hand and gently squeezed it: "I support you, Yue'er. What are your thoughts? We can discuss it with the teachers together." His firm gaze gave Lin Yue strength.
At this moment, the school teachers arrived in the courtyard one after another. Among them was Mr. Li, an experienced veteran teacher with gray hair and a face full of wrinkles, but whose eyes shone with gentleness and wisdom; Ms. Zhang, a young and energetic teacher with two braids, whose eyes were filled with a thirst for new knowledge; and several other teachers, all carrying a passion for education.
Lin Yue cleared her throat and said to the teachers, "Dear teachers, as you all know, although our conditions are difficult right now, we are all trying our best to create a better learning environment for the children. We have raised resources and made our own teaching aids, all for the sake of the children's better learning. However, I think we still need to make some changes to our teaching methods." Lin Yue's clear and loud voice echoed in the courtyard, and the teachers listened attentively.
Teacher Li nodded slightly: "Lin Yue, do you have any new ideas? Tell me about them." His tone was kind, with a hint of curiosity.
Lin Yue took a deep breath and began to explain: "I want to introduce fun and hands-on teaching methods. Fun teaching makes learning interesting. For example, in literacy classes, we can use storytelling and games to let children learn happily. Just like the literacy flashcards we make, they're not just for children to memorize by rote, but they can use the cards to play word-guessing games or create an interesting story that incorporates the words they're learning." As Lin Yue spoke, she picked up a literacy flashcard to demonstrate, her eyes sparkling with excitement, as if she could already see the children happily learning in the classroom.
The young teacher, Ms. Zhang, brightened up: "This is a great method! The children will definitely love it. What about practical teaching?" she asked eagerly, leaning forward slightly to show her keen interest.
Lin Yue smiled and continued, "Practical teaching means letting children do things themselves. For example, in natural science class, we don't just explain knowledge on the blackboard, but let children participate in actual operations. Like the waterwheel model we make, we can take the children to the river, assemble the waterwheel, and let them observe how the water propels the waterwheel. This way, their understanding of the knowledge will be deeper." Lin Yue's gestures were vivid, and her explanations made it easier for the teachers to understand.
After listening to Lin Yue's words, the teachers began to discuss in hushed tones. Some teachers nodded in agreement, while others showed hesitation.
An older teacher frowned and said, "This teaching method sounds good, but won't it take up too much time? And our courses are already very demanding. How can we ensure the teaching progress if this is the case?" His eyes revealed his concern. He was used to the traditional teaching model and had some reservations about this new method.
Lin Yue looked at the veteran teacher and patiently explained, “I understand your concerns, teacher. But we can’t just pursue the pace of teaching and neglect the quality of children’s learning. Through fun and hands-on teaching, children will have a stronger understanding and memory of knowledge, which will actually improve their learning efficiency in the long run. Moreover, we can arrange the time reasonably and prevent the courses from being too long.” Lin Yue’s eyes were sincere; she hoped to dispel the teachers’ concerns.
Chen Yu chimed in, "Yes, teachers. We can try it out first, and if it doesn't work, we'll adjust it. Our goal is for the children to learn better." His voice was steady and strong, giving people a sense of reliability.
After a moment of contemplation, Teacher Li said, "Lin Yue, your idea is very novel. We can pilot it in some courses first and see the results. If it really benefits the children as you say, then we'll promote it nationwide." Teacher Li's statement was met with nods of agreement from the other teachers.
Lin Yue said happily, "That's great! Then we can start with literacy classes and natural science classes as pilot programs. Teachers can try to incorporate these new methods into their own curriculum arrangements."
In the days that followed, the teachers began to try new teaching methods. In her literacy class, Teacher Zhang led the children in a word-guessing game. She divided the children into several groups and gave each group a set of flashcards.
