Tang He looked at the scene before him, and his hair stood on end.

A black arm, with knuckles that were a rotten, dark gray, and reeking of stench, was poked at him.

Who the hell wants such disgusting stuff?

The dagger flew over and pierced the zombie's palm, causing the severed arm to fall to the ground instantly.

The female zombie's expression was one of unprecedented confusion. "Jiaojiao...?"

She shook her head. "You... are not... Jiaojiao."

Instantly, her eyes turned fierce. "You're asking for death!"

The dagger was pulled from her hand, veered off a corner, and flew swiftly towards her, attempting to block her path.

Without batting an eye, the female zombie reached into the air and grasped the sturdy end of the dagger. Instantly, the skin was torn open, and the air was filled with the stench of a corpse that had been dead for months.

She lunged forward with her other hand, but Lu Mingxing reacted quickly, pulling Tang He away and releasing a ball of lightning with one hand.

Using the momentum, Tang He slid to the right side of the female zombie, grabbed her ankle, and pulled her to the ground.

The next second, she sprang up and pounced on Tang He.

Tang He looked to the side and a long chain caught his attention.

In an instant, the chains coiled up like a nimble snake, binding the female zombie's hands as she was about to stab him.

Lu Mingxing quickly took the other end of the chain and pulled hard, freeing Tang He.

Lu Mingxing steadied Tang He, his eyes never leaving the zombie in front of him. "This is no longer a low-level zombie."

The female zombie looked at the chains binding her and began to twirl them around, using them as weapons to lash out at the two men.

"It can talk and is conscious. Is this a mid-level zombie?" Tang He tried his best to remain calm, but his heart was already in turmoil. "I didn't expect them to evolve so quickly."

"Step back a little."

Lu Mingxing gave Tang He instructions.

The dagger flew back, and Tang He nodded and immediately turned around.

Lu Mingxing reached out, and blue lightning crackled at his fingertips.

Suddenly, several bolts of lightning appeared out of nowhere and struck down one after another, showing no sign of stopping.

This is a skill that Lu Mingxing learned after reaching level three – Thunderstorm.

It's not the kind of rain that comes with thunder and lightning.

Instead, it was thunder that came down in a dense, incessant barrage, like rain.

It lasts for about two minutes.

Tang He watched, a hint of envy barely perceptible in his eyes. Sure enough, mutated abilities outside the Five Elements were often more powerful.

However, Tang He looked both disheveled and in pain.

The sleek black leather jacket and pants were worn through, revealing several large holes.
