The Everyday Life of a Man Living by the Skin of His Teeth: A Qing Dynasty Reimagining

"Why only a one-month lifespan?" Ituma Shush felt shocked.

This is an alternate history Qing Dynasty novel with a cheat, multiple children, no romantic pairing (CP), and a slower pace...

Chapter 49 Vitality

Unfortunately, although the Old Summer Palace was large, many areas were reserved for owners, and Ituma Shushu could not simply set foot there.

Unlike before she transmigrated, she could go to many places simply by choosing outdoor hiking, and could also freely sign in to collect life force points.

After closing "Dawn Mall", Ituma Shushu racked her brains for a way to move to a larger and better place in the Yuanmingyuan Palace.

"Your Majesty."

While Ituma Shushu was still thinking about moving the palace again, Xiao Shunzi tiptoed in and bowed.

"What's wrong?" she asked softly.

"Your Majesty, the Seventh Prince has arrived at the main hall," Xiao Shunzi replied with a bow.

Ituma Shushu nodded and said gently, "I understand."

Xiao Shunzi quickly bowed and withdrew.

Ituma Shushu said gently to Luoye and Zhiqiu, who were waiting beside her, "Luoye, pack your things. Zhiqiu, you accompany me back first."

"Yes, Your Majesty," Luo Ye and Zhi Qiu hurriedly bowed and replied.

"Hongzhao, have you had breakfast yet?" Ituma Shushu asked, holding the hand of the Seventh Prince Hongzhao.

The Seventh Prince, Hongzhao, replied, "Not yet, Mother."

Ituma Shushu said softly, "Then let your mother have breakfast with you for a while."

After finishing his breakfast, the Seventh Prince Hongzhao happily said to Ituma Shushu, "Mother, yesterday Father Emperor said that Hongzhao can write big characters now. Father Emperor even taught Hongzhao how to hold a brush and write big characters!"

The Seventh Prince, Hongzhao, took her hand and said, "Mother, Hongzhao will start writing calligraphy today."

Ituma Shushu thought to herself: This is indeed the style of Emperor Yongzheng.

She said softly to the Seventh Prince Hongzhao, "Alright, from today onwards, Hongzhao, come to your mother's place to practice calligraphy."

Then she called out loudly, "Xiao Linzi, Xiao Anzi."

Xiao Linzi and Xiao Anzi hurriedly ran in and bowed, saying, "Your Majesty, we are here."

"You two, set up a small study for the Seventh Prince now. Make sure you have all the necessary writing materials, such as brushes, ink, paper, and inkstones. The Seventh Prince will be practicing calligraphy in this study from now on," Ituma Shushu instructed Xiao Linzi and Xiao Anzi.

"Yes, Your Highness, this servant will make a trip to the Imperial Household Department right away." Xiao Linzi and Xiao Anzi hurriedly bowed and replied.

She waved her hand and said gently, "Then you may all leave."

"Yes, Your Majesty," Xiao Linzi and Xiao Anzi replied.

Not long after Xiaolinzi and Xiaoanzi left.

Xia Ju carried the Eighth Prince, and Dong Mei carried the Ninth Prince in. They were followed by a group of servants including Granny Dong, Granny Quan, Granny Hong, Granny Hua, Chu Yin, and Chu Ling.

"Greetings to Consort Shu," the crowd bowed and greeted.

Ituma Shushu said gently, "No need for formalities, please rise."

The Eighth Prince and the Ninth Prince were both excited when they saw her, calling out, "Mother!" "Mother!" "Mother!" "Mother!"

Looking at the two mischievous princes, Eighth Prince and Ninth Prince, Ituma Shushu turned to Chu Yin and Chu Ling and said gently, "Chu Yin and Chu Ling, move the two chairs of Eighth Prince and Ninth Prince over here."

"Yes, Your Majesty," Chu Yin and Chu Ling replied, bowing.

"Mother, neither Eighth nor Ninth Prince likes to sit on chairs," Seventh Prince Hongzhao said, glaring at her.

She smiled and said to the Seventh Prince Hongzhao, "Let the Eighth and Ninth Princes sit in the chairs first, and we'll play with them for a while before we lay out the mats and play with them again."

The seventh prince, Hongzhao, rolled his eyes and thought his mother's idea was quite good. "Yes, Mother."

"Brother." "Brother." "Brother." "Brother."

The Eighth Prince and the Ninth Prince spotted the Seventh Prince, Hongzhao, and excitedly shouted incessantly.

Soon, Chu Yin and Chu Ling brought over two chairs.

Ituma Shushu first picked up the Eighth Prince and put him in a chair, then picked up the Ninth Prince and put him in a chair in the same way.

The Eighth and Ninth Princes were stunned for a moment, then they kept calling out "Mother!" "Mother!" "Mother!" "Mother!"

Although Xiao Ba and Xiao Jiu are active, they don't cry easily. For example, even though they don't like this chair, they just keep calling for their mother.

Ituma Shushu looked mischievous, pretending not to understand what Xiaoqi and Xiaoba meant.

Then she picked up small toys such as a rattle drum and a tiger head to amuse the Eighth and Ninth Princes.

The Seventh Prince, Hongzhao, also realized what was happening and picked up a nine-linked ring to teach the Eighth and Ninth Princes how to play.

When Ituma Shushu saw that they had played enough, she instructed Xia Ju, Dong Mei, Chu Yin, and Chu Ling, who were waiting nearby, "Xia Ju, Dong Mei, Chu Yin, and Chu Ling, bring out the mats and lay them out."

After Xia Ju, Dong Mei, Chu Yin, and Chu Ling laid out the mats, she gently picked up the Eighth Prince and the Ninth Prince and placed them on the mats.

As soon as the Eighth and Ninth Princes landed on the mat, they pounced on the Seventh Prince, Hongzhao, who was already sitting on the mat, like two tigers just released from their cages. In the blink of an eye, the three brothers were rolling around in a heap.

She couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Upon hearing his mother's laughter, the Seventh Prince Hongzhao immediately looked at her with a resentful expression.

Ituma Shushu laughed even louder.

In a large courtyard on the outskirts of Beijing.

Yongzheng's two deep eyes were like bottomless, icy pools, exuding a chilling aura. When he looked down at you, you couldn't help but feel a chill in your heart.

"My lord, all ten physicians have been brought here and are now waiting in their respective rooms," Shadow replied softly, kneeling down.

"Hmm." Yongzheng responded, still standing calmly with his hands at his sides, his dark, clear eyes showing no ripples.
