Does having a lot of money lead to a good fate, or does a good fate bring wealth? Qin Kour often wondered if she and that monstrous man had chosen the wrong questions when they were reincarnated, c...
This was the third time Lan Jiayuan had vomited blood.
After vomiting a few more times, it will be basically time to write an obituary for the capital.
Lan Linxue exuded a violent aura, causing Jiang Ming, who was standing below, to be drenched in cold sweat on his back.
Lan Linxue did not speak.
Qin Kou'er is right. The entire courtyard has been surrounded by Jiang Ming's heavy troops. Even if he wanted to let Qin Kou'er in, it would be impossible!
He didn't want to say a word right now; he could only wait for Qin Kou'er to rescue the person.
"Your Highness, the Third Prince has clearly been poisoned. The entire Qin Tian Pavilion should be arrested immediately..."
Did I give you permission to speak?
Lan Linxue turned around and stared at Jiang Ming with a cold gaze.
Jiang Mingli immediately fell silent.
Lan Linxue stared at the people below for a while before giving a cold laugh, "The Third Prince is dead. Do you all think that you can get high positions and generous salaries just because you've fulfilled your master's request?"
Immediately, everyone below knelt down.
"Your subordinate wouldn't dare!"
"Hmph, is there anything in this world you wouldn't dare to do?"
Lan Linxue slowly walked to the side and sat down. "Let me be frank with you now. If the Third Prince dies and I am blamed, I will drag the entire officialdom of Jiangnan down with me! And I assure you, none of you will ever be able to turn your lives around, no matter what promises your masters made to you!" All the officials below trembled with fear, not uttering a word, but not one of them took a step back.
Lan Linxue glanced at the crowd below, her anger towards Lan Xiuyuan's methods growing even stronger.
He wondered what methods Qin Kou'er would use to resolve the current situation, and whether she would really submit to Lan Xiuyuan.
Lan Xiuyuan was also thinking about this problem while lying in bed.
He was confident that things outside were proceeding as he had instructed. Feng Zhouyuan was a perceptive person; he must understand what he meant.
Lan Linxue thought that once he was caught in the trap, he wouldn't fight back and would be at the mercy of others. That was incredibly naive of him.
Lan Xiuyuan would never let this go unpunished. He, Lan Linxue, was definitely not the only one who would suffer retribution.
More importantly, he wanted to test Qin Kou'er's abilities to see if she was truly as capable as he expected. Even more importantly, he wanted to see if she was as loyal to him as she claimed.
The world seemed to focus its attention on Qin Kou'er all at once.
Qin Kou'er, however, showed no sign of panic.
All manpower was dispatched.
She stood quietly alone outside Lan Jiayuan's courtyard, waiting for the next step to begin.
An hour later, following Qin Kou'er's instructions, Jun Yannuo had the poisonous creatures he was raising gently placed in Lan Jiayuan's courtyard.
An ordinary carriage quietly drove up unnoticed and stopped not far behind Qin Kou'er, waiting for the Pavilion Master's next instructions.
No one knows who was the first to spot the writhing black python inside. A scream broke the heavy silence that filled the room.
Lan Linxue was frowning, intending to reprimand them, but more people noticed something amiss.
The house was suddenly crawling with venomous snakes, scorpions, and those disgusting toads.
These officials and scholars had never seen so many poisonous creatures before, and they panicked without any sense of order, screaming and dodging each other.
Jiang Ming was, after all, a man of the world. Although he was intimidated by the giant python that was as thick as an arm, he still retained a shred of official authority.
Shouting for guards, he rushed to Lan Linxue, yelling, "Protect the Crown Prince! Protect the Crown Prince!"
Lan Linxue glanced down, her brows furrowing even deeper. What the hell! It's disgusting!
Shuanghua rushed to the side even faster, grabbed a terrifying-looking black patterned venomous snake, pried open its mouth to examine it, her eyes flickered, and then she quickly returned to Lan Linxue's side and whispered something.
Lan Linxue immediately looked up at him in surprise.
These snakes don't have fangs? That means this was Qin Kou'er's doing.
With a quick glance, he immediately understood Qin Kou'er's meaning.
She wanted the venomous snakes to drive away the old men in front of her so she could take the opportunity to come in and save people.
Lan Linxue immediately stood up and shouted, "What's all the panic about! Get out here and stand there right now!"
Immediately, as if granted a pardon, everyone rushed out.
Outside the door, the guards were frantically trying to grab the poison, but they had no clue whatsoever, and the situation was completely chaotic.
Qin Kou'er stood at the door and waited until the mess inside was almost gone before waving her hand to her subordinates.
Jun Yan Nuo immediately said loudly, "Pavilion Master Qin Tian has arrived late to protect His Majesty. I hope Your Highness will forgive him!"
With that, he led his men and rushed inside.
As soon as Qin Tiange's men arrived, the situation was immediately brought under control.
There weren't many people, and no one was using any special tools. Some people simply stretched out two fingers and easily grabbed the poison, then threw it directly into the basket.
Soon, most of the poisonous creatures were captured, and everyone was reassured. However, still shaken, they whispered among themselves, recounting the harrowing experience.
Seeing that the situation was under control, Qin Kou'er slowly stepped inside.
Jiang Ming was still somewhat flustered. When he saw Qin Kou'er enter, he immediately said angrily, "Sect Leader Qin, how dare you! You actually released poison to harm the Crown Prince? What are your intentions!"
Qin Kou'er's face immediately turned cold. She looked at Jiang Ming and said in a deep voice, "Lord Jiang, you've said something without thinking! I brought people to rescue them, and now you're turning around and accusing me of plotting to harm the Crown Prince? Without any evidence, Lord Jiang would be better off thinking carefully!"
