Chapter 1093: Migrate south! Migrate south!

The current beer filling line of Han Tribe actually has a relatively small output. It only has one pipeline and one filling port, and can only fill one bottle at a time.

Moreover, Han Tribe currently does not have electronic numerical control technology. For the frequency and speed of the filling operation, as well as the filling volume, it still adopts the simplest physical control method. Just for this technology, the research institute has wasted a lot of time.

Most of the metal pipe valves currently produced by Han Tribe are manually controlled. The process of filling beer into a bottle is like using a bottle to collect water under the faucet, but the automatic production line cannot do this. The problem of filling a certain amount of alcohol each time must be solved.

The previous liquor factory still used a funnel to manually fill it. Because the output was not large, manual filling was completely affordable, but beer was different.

In order to solve this problem, the research institute specially invented a double-chamber valve, that is, a valve cavity was added between the pipeline and the valve outlet. The volume of this cavity is the same as the volume of alcohol to be filled.

Han tribe also uses the modern standard quantitative beer, with a net content of 560 ml per bottle, so the internal volume of the cavity above the valve is also 560 ml.

When the filling operation is started, the machine will automatically open the inlet valve on the cavity, fill the valve cavity with liquor, and then the upper injection port will be closed again. At this time, open the switch of the lower discharge port, and the 560 ml of liquor can be filled into the beer bottle.

There is also one last key issue, which is how to ensure that the beer will not foam during filling?

Beer is the easiest to foam. If the foam is full when it is half filled, then the remaining beer will definitely not be poured in, and then it will automatically overflow, causing product loss, and also resulting in unqualified filling products.

In order to solve this problem, the solution proposed by the institute is to make the filling port into a slender tubular nozzle. When filling, wait for the empty bottles on the assembly line to reach the filling position. After being fixed firmly, the filling nozzle above will drop and insert it to the bottom of the bottle, two centimeters away from the bottom, and then start filling. After filling, lift the filling port and pull it out of the bottle.

In this way, the wine will basically not be exposed to the air, and the probability of foaming is greatly reduced. Even if there are still some foams, the empty space at the bottleneck of the bottle is enough to hold these foams and prevent it from overflowing easily.

A series of optimized designs make the performance of this beer filling line very reliable. Except for the small output, there are no other problems.

However, it is enough to cope with the existing market size of the Han tribe.

As the machine starts, one empty bottle after another lines up to the bottom of the filling position, and then is filled with wine, and continues to line up to the capping area behind.

The speed here in the capping area is faster. It only takes about one second to cap a bottle of beer, but the previous preparation work requires several steps.

The Han tribe promotes dark brown beer bottles. This color of glass can be fired by adding a certain proportion of iron oxide crystals. Iron oxide crystals are byproducts produced when the Han tribe uses pyrite to produce sulfuric acid. They were basically not used before, or they were put in porcelain glaze to adjust the color. Now when brown bottles are produced in large quantities, these iron oxides can finally be used.

Because it is a dark brown bottle, a black bottle cap is selected, so the color looks very coordinated.

The steps to make a black bottle cap are basically to first roll the iron sheet into a roll from the steel mill, and then spray the iron sheet with black paint. These iron sheets that are sprayed with paint to become pure black are then sent to the brewery for stamping and finally become bottle caps.

The packaged beer produced here in the capping area is installed with a pure black bottle cap, but this is not the end.

The packaged beer is subject to two quality inspections. The first is to check whether there is a loose package, air leakage or beer leakage. If so, it should be reported in time, and the capping area will be stopped for inspection to see where the problem occurs.

If there is no leakage, the quality inspector will take out a white seal and print a seal on the black beer bottle cap.

On this seal is a snowflake crystal pattern, which is the logo of Snow Beer, and there are two Chinese characters for snowflake below. However, the seal is not dipped in ink, but white paint.

The final product is a dark brown bottle with a white trademark pattern printed on the black bottle cap.

But this is not the end. The quality inspection in this step mainly checks whether there is leakage, and the second step of quality inspection checks whether there are foreign objects in the bottle.

The beer that has passed the sealing inspection will be conveyed to the second inspection position, where there are many calcium carbide lamps. The sealed beer will pass through the lights one by one along the conveyor belt, and the quality inspector will observe whether there are foreign objects in the bottle through the lights.

If there are foreign objects, they will be picked out. If not, a color overprinted trademark label needs to be affixed to the bottle to prove that it has been inspected.

Therefore, the two trademarks on the bottle mouth and the bottle body not only exist as trademarks, but also are two proofs of qualification for inspection to ensure the qualified rate of the product.

After all these steps are completed, the beer will finally go to the packaging area and be packed into wooden boxes that have been nailed one by one, or tied directly with hemp ropes. Ten bottles of beer are tied into a bundle with ropes, which is called a dozen beers.

The two packaging methods have their own advantages. It is easy to transport with boxes, and it can be stacked infinitely. At least it can be stacked up to seven or eight layers. It is not possible to tie it directly with ropes. It is not convenient to transport, but it is very suitable for small vendors.

For example, small vendors who barbecue on the roadside do not use a large amount. If they use a tricycle to pull the goods, it may be just enough to load two or three hundred bottles at a time, which is enough for one day's sales. The next day, they will take the bottles to restock.

Of course, if the quantity required is large, such as restaurants, it can be delivered directly to the door. In this case, it will be more convenient to pack it in boxes.

However, this is all temporary. After the production of the brewery is on the right track in the future, Han tribe will definitely develop some barreled beer, which will be sold specifically to individuals or roadside stalls. This customer group either drinks it at home or sells draft beer in bulk at roadside stalls, selling it by cup, and how much is a cup.

But Luo Chong didn't need to worry about such trivial matters. He only needed to make sure that the bottling production line could run stably and that the previous investment was not in vain.

After a tour of the brewery and a big pot meal with the workers, in the afternoon, when the brewery produced 5,000 boxes of beer, Luo Chong directly asked them to load the tractor and transport it to the dock of Liuyang County for direct loading.

The beer boxes of the Han tribe all use standard boxes of 24 bottles. One bottle is 560 ml. Five thousand boxes of beer are almost 672 tons of beer. Please note that this is the net content and does not include the weight of the boxes and beer bottles.

Producing 672 tons of beer at a time is basically the largest single-time output of the brewery. The brewery itself did not leave much. Even if the fermentation tanks were fully filled, it was estimated that they could only hold about 800 tons of beer.

But this was originally a trial production, and the production capacity was not fully utilized at all, so Luo Chong took away almost all the output this time.

Nearly 700 tons of beer, plus the weight of glass bottles and wooden boxes, the total weight has exceeded 1,000 tons. One ship is definitely not enough. In the end, only three ships can be used to completely load these 5,000 boxes of beer, and there is still some space left for people.

As the day approaches, those who want to go south with Luo Chong also begin to gather in Liuyang County. The cargo ship fleet at the Weishan County dock has already set off. In order to pursue a larger load capacity and portability of loading, there is no flying fish boat, but the old-fashioned three-masted sailing ship.

Such sailing ships have a large displacement, high load capacity, and good seaworthiness, but they are not as fast as flying fish boats, so they set off immediately after loading the goods and checking the cargo list.

Finally, on August 29, Luo Chong's family also arrived in Liuyang County by horse carriage. The four children were very excited, especially the eldest and the second child. The two children were almost five years old and had never been on a big sailboat. Now they came to the dock and saw so many sailboats. It would be strange if they were not excited. Xiaodie, Zhan Ying and Shang were looking after the four children, and they couldn't control them.

It happened to be the weekend, and the weather was good. It was cloudy, there was no strong sun, and there was a slight breeze, which was very suitable for playing outdoors. So Luo Chong asked She Xin to organize a dinner party on the school playground in Liuyang County. The participants included the group of people who were about to go south with Luo Chong, and the family members who came to see them off. It was a farewell lunch.

After lunch, we took a break. At about two o'clock in the afternoon, everyone started to board the ship. At this time, the third and fourth children of Luo Chong's family had fallen asleep due to exhaustion. The two children were still young, only one and a half years old, and could not speak fluently. Little Luo Cheng and Little Luo Lan were different. After boarding the ship, they ran around on the deck, looked at this and touched that, went up on the deck for a while, and then went into the cabin again, just like visiting.

This was not the case on other ships. The people who traveled with Luo Chong this time basically did not bring any family members, not even their wives, let alone their children. They had to settle down in the south first, and handle the house and land matters in the new environment before they could bring their families over.

However, there was one advantage, that is, the Han tribe government would contract the one-way travel expenses of their families, and then organize a special ship to pick up their wives and children, and also be responsible for their safety and food and accommodation along the way, which was a good welfare treatment.

The fleet set sail soon and the journey was very smooth.

Now, only the Han tribe has the ability to drive so many fleets on the Liuyang River. Other forces or tribes simply do not have the strength, let alone the ability to do anything to the sailboats on the Liuyang River.

The people of the Han tribe can proudly say that the Liuyang River is the inland river of the Han tribe. When sailing on this river, no one has the ability to attack them on the boat unless there is a problem with the weather.

The first stop of the fleet is the newly opened Chengkang County and Qi'an County in the middle and lower reaches. It is not directly to Tuohai County, because most of the people who followed Luo Chong this time actually want to go to Chengqi County to work, to mine coal, to build coking plants, steel mills and rolling mills.

In addition, as the leader of the Han tribe, Luo Chong has not visited the two newly established counties. Since he passed by there this time, he can't pass by without entering.

The speed of the flying fish boat is very fast. After only one day, it has opened up a distance with the old sailboats in the fleet. On the second day, it has surpassed those cargo ships that set off in advance. On the fifth day, the small fleet consisting of six flying fish boats has arrived at the dock of Chengkang County.

Luo Chong sent a message to You Fu on the boat a few days in advance, telling him that he would bring people over and asking him to prepare to welcome and settle the people.

You Fu naturally agreed readily, especially for the settlement of people, he had already prepared.

The Han tribe hired the entire Baiwu tribe to build in Qi'an County. Although the city does not have a wall now, the residential houses, schools, government offices, markets and other supporting facilities have actually been built long ago.

As long as the technicians are willing to come, they will immediately have a house to live in, and their families can also be allocated acres of land, which are already cultivated and being cultivated by the slave army.

The children's schooling is not a problem either. At least the school has been built and there is a place for them to go to class. It's just that there are still some teachers missing. Luo Chong needs to find a way to dispatch some teachers here.

Food, they can be self-sufficient here. Clothing, although they don't weave cloth here, they can also buy it from other counties, and the water and land transportation are very convenient, so there is no need to worry at all.

Housing, the government directly allocates houses, OK, basically you can only rely on your legs.

However, Luo Chong's ambitions this time are still very big. As the industrial system of the Han tribe becomes more and more perfect, bicycles that could not be mass-produced before may be possible in the future.

Luo Chong is going to build a bicycle factory in the south this time and start to promote bicycles throughout the tribe.

The technical reserves are sufficient. After all, a small batch was produced before, but the industrial conditions at that time were not mature, and there was not such a large amount of steel production. There was a shortage of skilled technical workers, so it was impossible to popularize on a large scale. But now, Luo Chong finally has the confidence to promote bicycles.

At the dock of Chengkang County, Luo Chong walked down the deck with his two wives and four children. On the pier of the dock, You Fu and two strangers were welcoming him.

These two people were none other than the two young and strong patriarchs of the Baiwu tribe, Gu Ji and Tian Hong.

They heard You Fu say that the leader of the Han tribe was coming over two days ago, and they wanted to come and see and broaden their horizons. They wanted to see what kind of person the leader of such a powerful Han tribe was.

Now that they finally saw the real person, the two opened their mouths in surprise and stared at Luo Chong's family in disbelief. They didn't expect that the leader of the Han tribe was still so young!

Well, actually, he is not that young. Luo Chong is already 19 years old, which is a young man in this world. He is no longer as immature as he was when he was 12 or 13 years old.
