"Quick, tell me! When did you start liking me?"
"There is a beautiful one, whom I see and cannot forget. A single day without seeing them, and I yearn like mad. A phoenix flies hi...
I also read other people's writing, and it feels like my writing is worlds apart from theirs. Sometimes I console myself by asking myself, "How many years have they been writing? How many years have you been writing?" It's only been six months, and while it's certainly challenging, I'm passionate about it, so I think I'll keep checking back. Even if I don't get paid, I'll still stick with what I love. After all, who hasn't had a time in their youth when they wanted to fight tooth and nail?
At least you have to persist to know whether you are suitable for this job.
Moreover, Jin Suting is my first female protagonist, and my first time writing about time travel. I've written short stories before, either about school or youth. Back then, they were just practice, and their time in my writing was too brief, too short for me to notice, care for, or even linger on their emotions.
I'm incredibly heartless and can forget anything in a blink of an eye. But I don't want to forget Jin Suting, not only because she's my first female protagonist, the first character I've written hundreds of thousands of words about, but also because I have deep feelings for her and strong hopes for her.
I always feel that she is not vivid enough, not enough to make people jump to the page at first glance.
Maybe my writing skills haven't reached that level yet.
In fact, Jin Suting is a very contradictory person. She grew up in a very dark environment. It is equivalent to having no parents. Her parents are just figureheads, and she has a younger sister who bullies her all day long.
But she didn't look like she came from such a cold-blooded, despicable family. She simply hid her dark and inferior side so well, so well that even she thought it was nothing. It was just her parents, what was the big deal?
No one is born sunshine. If you always see her as the sun, maybe it's just blocking the darkness.
What I want to express is that, in fact, those friends around you, those lively and cheerful people, or those who always liven up the atmosphere.
It is possible that they are not as happy as they appear.
They liven up the atmosphere, but they don't like silence. Because when the atmosphere is dull, they will think a lot, just like they are afraid to stay alone late at night.
Although these people are just individuals, they themselves also need sunshine. Except for the real sun, no one is willing to emit sunshine all the time, which is very tiring.
Jin Suting's subsequent transformation was indeed due to the warmth and sunshine brought to her by the people around her. She slowly opened her heart and took off her disguise.
This should be a heartwarming and inspiring novel, but I keep rewriting it in various ways, probably because it's a serial. It's really exhausting.
Let's talk about the male protagonist. Helan Ruizhe is actually the male protagonist I wanted to be cooler from the beginning. If he is too hot, I always feel that he will clash with the female protagonist. It would be too tiring for two suns to stay together.
I've already written him as being a bit overly passionate, but that's only true for Jin Suting, because I have an inexplicable sense of familiarity with her. As for what this familiarity is, I'll temporarily call it "fate."
So the more he wrote, the colder and more heartless he became, even to the point of contradicting his grandmother, Helan Minzhi. This fully demonstrates that men in love are brainless.
But actually, he is quite pitiful. His father died when he was young, and his mother didn't want him. She left him and went to explore the world. Helan's mother will have a lot of roles in the later part.
As for the ending, I think the title of the book clearly states it and it is completely predictable.
Okay, I think I've said enough. Two hours a day, I'll keep going. I'm still tired, but I'll persevere. I'll keep going.
A cold female voice came from the phone. "Is he asleep?" Jin Suting called again, but still no one answered. Worried, she jumped up, grabbed her coat, and headed out. She remembered where Shi Shi often drank. It was only past one o'clock now, and she wasn't sure if she could get a taxi.
Jin Suting walked out of the community. It was past one o'clock and there were few vehicles on the quiet road at night. She stood at the traffic light intersection waiting for the red light to go out.
More than ten minutes later, Jin Suting luckily got a taxi.
The taxi stopped in front of a store called "Heidian". Jin Suting paid the fare, thanked the driver and got off.
"Heidian" is a bar where Shi Shi worked as a resident singer during her sophomore year. It was also here that she met her straight boyfriend. After graduation, she found other jobs and rarely performed there. However, Shi Shi still likes this place very much and comes here whenever she feels down.
Jin Suting walked quickly into the bar and saw Shi Shi in a dark corner.
She was drunk and dialing a number on her cell phone. Jin Suting walked closer to hear what she was saying.
But she noticed the man next to her. It was Shi Shi's boyfriend. It seemed he wasn't that bad after all, even looking for a girlfriend. Jin Suting didn't know him well, as he was incredibly shy. How could a girl as impulsive as Shi Shi be with such a quiet guy? Jin Suting couldn't understand.
"Jin Suting, why the hell didn't you answer my call???!" Shi Shi sat up and cursed, which scared her boyfriend. He quickly pulled her towards him for fear of scaring other guests.
Jin Suting walked over domineeringly. How could she answer the call when her phone was left at someone else's house? "Shi Zhu, hurry up and get up."
Shi Shi looked up and saw that it was her. She immediately smiled and laughed so hard that she fell over: "You're here~"
Jin Suting straightened her up and asked, "How much did you drink?" She glanced at the scattered bottles on the floor and asked, "You didn't drink a dozen, did you?"
Shi Shi nodded dazedly, then immediately shook her head and held up two fingers, "No, just two bites, just two bites."
Don't tell me you picked up all those bottles on the floor out of kindness! I don't believe that!
Jin Suting turned back to her boyfriend and said, "Hurry up and take your girlfriend home. You don't care about her drinking so much. You have no sense of responsibility at all."
The boyfriend took Shi Shi, carried her on his back, and walked out of the bar step by step.
Jin Suting can drink a lot and can almost drink a thousand cups without getting drunk. Of all types of alcohol, she loves cocktails.
Because it was late, she casually ordered a very low-alcohol cocktail. She originally wanted to savor it carefully, but she ended up drinking it faster and faster, so she simply drank it all in one gulp.
After finishing her drink, Jin Suting didn't feel anything. As she walked out of the bar, the cold wind blew in her face, making her shiver. Even the summer night was quite cold.
On the way back, Jin Suting didn't take a taxi. The streets of Fengcheng at two in the morning were actually quite beautiful. Jin Suting had seen Fengcheng at this time before. She remembered that when her first draft was accepted by the editor and she was notified that the book could be published, she thought she had received a scam call.
Later, the editor urged her to submit her manuscripts, threatening her to commit suicide. She often did not sleep until three or four in the morning.
