"Quick, tell me! When did you start liking me?"
"There is a beautiful one, whom I see and cannot forget. A single day without seeing them, and I yearn like mad. A phoenix flies hi...
“You always say that there is light in me, but do you know?”
"You are my light, and I am the one chasing the light."

"That's about right." Jin Suting said, "You were like this when I first met you!"
Helan Ruizhe looked at her sadly, recalling that the first time he met Jin Suting as Helan Ruizhe was at the horse farm. At that time, he was indeed wearing a pig mask that was so ugly that it enraged everyone.
But Helan Ruizhe thought that pig was quite cute. Even if it was ugly, it was not as ugly as the one drawn by Jin Suting.
"I think we can learn to play chess first."
Jin Suting was expecting Helan Ruizhe to give her some praise. She had been painting all morning and doing horse stance for an hour. Her legs were still trembling. She had suffered both mental and physical damage.
She examined the painting carefully herself and asked doubtfully, "Is it really that ugly?"
Helan Ruizhe didn't want to lie to her, even though it might cause her to suffer a blow, but he couldn't say the painting was beautiful in good conscience, so he euphemistically described it as: "Our aesthetics are different, but it's definitely not similar."
Jin Suting pouted when she heard him say that: "He is an abstract painter after all."
Abstract? Helan Ruizhe found it difficult to understand this term.
In short, teaching Jin Suting to paint is a huge project that requires long-term planning.
"Chess is relatively simple. Let me teach you how to play chess."

Grand Tutor's Mansion.
Yu Qinglan rarely stayed at the Grand Tutor's Mansion, instead staying at the inn or the palace. Ever since she had a fight with Grand Tutor Yu, their relationship had become cold, and it was still a cold war until now.
When she returned to her room, she met Master Yu at the door. He stood there with his hands behind his back, looking at Yu Qinglan with his no longer young eyes.
Yu Qinglan said nothing and walked around Master Yu into the room. She came back to get some clothes. June 11th was their wedding date, and there were many things to prepare.
"Lan'er." Grand Tutor Yu called her name. Yu Qinglan stopped in her tracks. She tilted her head and could see the white hair on Grand Tutor Yu's temples.
"I just came back to get some clothes and will be leaving soon." Yu Qinglan pointed inside the room and said to Master Yu.
"Just stay at home for a few days."
Grand Tutor Yu paced into the room and looked around, where he could feel the atmosphere of Yu Qinglan's life. He had long regretted the harsh words he had said. There was no way a grandfather and grandson would hold a grudge overnight.
Yu Qinglan frowned, and Grand Tutor Yu continued with a sigh, "Look at our Lan'er, she's grown up already. She's going to get married in a few days. I remember when you were little you said you didn't want to get married. In the blink of an eye you've grown up so tall and become a married woman."
"Why are you saying this suddenly?"
Yu Qinglan's voice was surprisingly calm.
Grand Tutor Yu stared at her blankly, his cloudy eyes filled with more doubt than questioning, and he was unable to digest her sudden change in tone.
"Haven't I grown up a long time ago?" Yu Qinglan walked to the closet to pack clothes as a matter of course, as unfamiliar as a stranger.
She thought that there was no point in saying anything more now. Master Yu was a person who deserved her respect in the past, but her last hope for him disappeared after that quarrel.
She has grown up a long time ago. The child who was making a fuss about not getting married was her when she was six years old.
She is now seventeen years old and is about to marry the man she loves.
"Are you still blaming your grandfather?" There was sadness in Master Yu's tone.
Yu Qinglan put all the clothes into the cloth bag and folded them neatly. He said, "You can't say you blame me. After all, I have already handed over the tasks you entrusted to me, and I have already cleared myself of any responsibility."
She put the bag on her back and smiled at Grand Tutor Yu, a forced smile. "I know you've never liked Ah Yin, and I thought it was because he wasn't as promising as a prince. But when I wanted to marry him and you cleared me out of the Grand Tutor's Mansion, I knew you were afraid he might rebel, right?"
"You don't really feel bad for me, your granddaughter. You're just afraid I'll give power to Yin. In the end, in my grandfather's eyes, power is more important than family."
Yu Qinglan walked out of the room without looking back. Over the years, Grand Tutor Yu had handed over some of the matters at hand to Yu Qinglan for control.
For example, some royal shops and underground secret agencies that work for the royal family, but since the news of the granted marriage came out.
Grand Tutor Yu personally cut off these secret lines and took back the shop.
She couldn't think of any other explanation for this behavior except that she didn't trust Yu Qinglan.
So Yu Qinglan has seen through her selfish and hypocritical grandfather. What is there to be nostalgic about?
When she returned to the palace, Helan Yinsheng was already sitting in the room waiting for her.
The table was filled with her favorite dishes, still steaming.
"Are you back?"
Yu Qinglan put the things on the table, looked at Helan Yinsheng with gentle eyes, and smiled slightly. After seeing him, she seemed to be less sad: "Yeah."
"Let's eat together." Helan Yinsheng asked her to sit down, and he specially asked the kitchen to prepare some of Yu Qinglan's favorite dishes.
She felt an indescribable sense of happiness, and deep down she felt that this was the life she longed for.
Perhaps if Helan Yinsheng was not a prince and she was not the granddaughter of the Grand Tutor, she would have an easier time.
Helan Yinsheng put the food into her bowl and asked gently, "What are you thinking about?"
Yu Qinglan blinked her moist eyes quickly a few times, raised her head and smiled, "No, I just feel like we've been together for a long time."
Helan Yinsheng chuckled softly and took a sip of wine. "We have known each other for more than ten years, so we have been together for a long time."
