Chapter 16 The Peach Banquet

The Peach Banquet was about to begin, but Zi'er hadn't returned yet. The other sisters were pacing anxiously, while Qing'er sat there drinking tea.

Greenie stamped her feet anxiously, "What should we do? Seventh Sister hasn't come back yet." The other sisters echoed her sentiments, their faces full of anxiety.

Seeing that Qing'er was still in the mood to drink tea, Huang'er went over and snatched the tea from her hand, placing it on the table. She said angrily, "Fifth Sister, how can you still be in the mood to drink tea? Aren't you in a hurry?"

Qing'er picked up her teacup again and took a sip. She said calmly, "What's the use of being in a hurry?"

"You...you have no heart." Huang'er was even angrier at her nonchalant attitude. Seeing that a fight was about to break out, the other sisters quickly stepped forward to pull her away.

"Third sister, please don't make things worse," Cheng'er said helplessly.

Huang'er pointed to herself, "I...I caused trouble?"

"Alright, Third Sister, I know you're anxious, and everyone is anxious too. Fifth Sister just doesn't show it," Hong'er also advised.

"Don't worry, Seventh Sister will be back soon." Qing'er thought to herself, "Is it possible that she's really not in a hurry? She's made it so clear. If Zi'er still doesn't come back, then there's no point in her being anxious."

Time ticked by, and the Peach Banquet was scheduled to begin in half an hour, but Zi'er still hadn't appeared. Qing'er was getting restless; this seventh sister was just too unreliable.

Greenie said, both angry and anxious, "Seventh Sister, you're finally back! What time is it? We were all worried you wouldn't make it back in time."

Zi'er smiled shyly, "Sisters, I'm sorry." She just couldn't bear to part with Dong Lang, and thinking that the time wasn't up yet, she stayed a little longer.

Seeing her like this, the sisters said nothing more. Tomorrow was approaching, so they quickly tidied their clothes and headed together to the Peach Banquet.

As the Peach Banquet began, Laozi cleared his throat and started explaining the rules of the Heavenly Realm and the significance of this banquet. After he finished, he said, "Please welcome the princesses of the Queen Mother of the West to enter."

Several princesses, dressed in red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and purple, entered, bowed to the Queen Mother, and began to dance gracefully. Their movements were light and elegant, their long sleeves flowing, their dance beautiful and captivating, drawing admiration from all the guests.

Hiding in the corner, the jinx stroked his chin thoughtfully. "Didn't they say the Seventh Princess descended to the mortal realm without permission? Could it be that King Yinshi lied to me?"

Despite his bad luck, Broom Star still went to see King Yin Shi. Normally, there were patrols in the forbidden area every day, and no one would go there. But one time, Broom Star was sweeping the ground and got curious and wanted to go in and take a look. So he waited there for several days and actually found an opportunity to sneak in. Then, just like in the story, he was brainwashed and tricked by King Yin Shi.

After the banquet, Broom Star seized an opportunity to meet with King Yin Shi and told him about the Seventh Princess's appearance at the Peach Banquet. King Yin Shi sneered, "She's definitely only back temporarily."

Broom Star was skeptical. Seeing his disbelief, King Yin Shi angrily said, "What do you know!
