Chapter 89 Li Lianhua Cooking
"Hmm~ Guess" Li Lianhua started preparing a month ago, just so she could give it to Qing'er today.
"I won't guess," Qing'er pouted. She didn't care when it was prepared anyway; as long as it was a gift from Huahua, she'd like it.
Li Lianhua smiled and looked at her with affection, saying, "It was prepared a month ago, and it was only engraved two days ago."
Qing'er, overjoyed, gently kissed his lips and was about to pull away when Li Lianhua's strong arms suddenly wrapped tightly around her slender waist. She was startled and before she could react, Li Lianhua deepened the kiss. His lips and tongue, like nimble snakes, easily pried open Qing'er's teeth and plunged in. How could she refuse meat offered to her?
At this moment, the fireflies around them seemed to sense the sweetness between them, and they flew around them happily, forming a beautiful halo.
After staying there for two hours, they returned to Lotus Tower. The two were in a good mood the whole way. When they got upstairs, Qing'er raised an eyebrow at Li Lianhua who was following behind and said, "Huahua, your room is next door."
Li Lianhua looked at her innocently and replied, "I know."
Qing'er pouted, ignored him, pushed open the door and went inside. Then she turned around and saw Li Lianhua was about to follow her in. She then pressed her finger against his chest and said, "It's late, you should go to sleep." Meaning, you can go back now.
"I was just about to go in and rest," Li Lianhua said, making a move to step past Qing'er and enter the room.
Qing'er put her hands on her hips and widened her almond-shaped eyes: "Li Lianhua, you know what I mean. This is my room. Go back to your own place."
Li Lianhua blinked and said pitifully, "Qing'er, it's windy outside, and my body can't take it. Please let me stay here for the night."
Qing'er was both annoyed and amused by his appearance. Who was he trying to fool? It was so hot outside and windy! Besides, he was cultivating immortality, what was there to be afraid of in the wind?
Li Lianhua's eyes darted around, and he wanted to sneak in, but given the difference in their current cultivation levels, he couldn't possibly get in unless Qing'er wanted to.
Qing'er pushed him back and said, "Be good, go to sleep early." Then she closed the door.
Li Lianhua looked at the closed door, touched his nose, and coughed. He hadn't meant to do anything, so why was he being so wary of him? Then he smiled and turned to go back to his room.
The next day, Qing'er was awakened by a series of crackling and banging sounds. She went downstairs and headed towards the direction of the noise, which was towards the kitchen. When she got to the door, she saw Li Lianhua bustling around.
Qing'er: ? ? ? ? ?
Li Lianhua also noticed Qing'er at the door, so she turned around and said with a smile, "You're up. Are you hungry? Wait a minute, dinner will be ready soon. Sit outside for a while and don't come in, it's a bit dirty here."
"Okay," Qing'er said, her mind still a bit foggy, as she walked back outside. She had just sat down when she seemed to remember something and froze. Li Lianhua…was…cooking?
Thinking of the food Li Lianhua cooked in the drama, she suddenly wanted to go back and tell Li Lianhua that she wasn't hungry and that she didn't need to eat the food, since she had already started fasting.
Having been together for so long, Li Lianhua rarely had to cook. Back in Yunyin Mountain, she had her master and mistress, and at Sigu Gate, she had a cook. Now that they were out in the world, they had money and could buy whatever they wanted to eat. If there was nowhere to buy food, Qing'er would take some out of his spatial storage, and he also had some food prepared in his own space. So Li Lianhua never thought about cooking; she had completely forgotten about it. Why did Li Lianhua suddenly want to cook?
Not long after, Li Lianhua brought out two dishes from the kitchen and greeted her with a smile, "Qing'er, have you been waiting long?"
Qing'er: Actually, it hasn't been that long.
Li Lianhua quickly set out the meal: three dishes and a soup.
Looking at the strangely presented food on the table, Qing'er couldn't help but doubt her eyes. "Huahua, are you sure this is edible?" Li Lianhua nodded confidently: "Of course, they just don't look very appealing."
Qing'er picked up her chopsticks with some skepticism, gently poked at a bowl of dark, unidentifiable meat in front of her, and then cautiously put it in her mouth. The next second, her expression became quite interesting; the taste was indescribable—bitter, sweet, sour, and a little gamey. Li Lianhua watched her nervously: "How is it? Is it good?"
Looking at his expectant eyes, Qing'er couldn't bear to disappoint him, so she forced a smile and said, "Hmm...it's quite special." Li Lianhua's eyes lit up: "I knew it! I'm so smart, my cooking is bound to be good. If you like it, eat more. I'll make it for you every day from now on."
Qing'er sighed and rubbed her forehead in exasperation. For the sake of her own taste buds, she decided to let Li Lianhua try the delicious food he had made.
