The King of Black Fog

"The situation is turning grim," one said.

"Hasn't it always been like this?" came the reply.

Chapter 183 Unrestricted Mech Racing Competition shuhaige.net

This is what he cares about most.

Based on current intelligence, the only way to complete the main quest is by piloting an Imperial mech.

Wen Caroline turned her head and stared straight at Li Changzhou.

“The Empress’s appointment,” she said. “This is how Imperial Mechs are certified.”

"appointment?"

Fingerprints, retina?

Or is it some kind of system permissions or other random stuff?

"If Wang Donghua were here, that would be great," Li Changzhou thought.

"Is that so?" he asked Bea Triss to confirm.

Bea Triss was in a state of panic, her whole body was cold, as if a snake was crawling on her.

"Ya, Beya."

Li Qianxia called out twice before Beya Triss snapped out of her daze, as if startled.

Her lips had turned purple, and she looked pitiful.

"Caroline said that the certification method for Imperial Mechs is through the Empress's appointment. I'd like to know if that's true?" Li Changzhou asked as if everything had happened.

The fate of the duchy was indeed none of his concern.

The voice seemed to reach Beatrice's ears after a long while, and she slowly replied, "I don't know, it's top secret."

Li Changzhou was not disappointed; it was only natural that he didn't know.

Just like major powers on Earth, even if they have identified a successor, they would never reveal the codes for nuclear weapons to the other side in advance.

Imperial mechs and guardian mechs are more precious than nuclear weapons, and their secrets are naturally known only to the ruler.

"Is there anything else you want to ask?" Li Changzhou asked the other four.

Li Qianxia and Yaochi did not.

Yang Qinglan said, "We must leave here quickly. She may have already used some means to send out the news that she has been exposed—"

"What will happen to my parents?" As if she had just heard Li Changzhou's words, Bea Triss suddenly questioned Win Caroline.

Winnie Carolyn looked her straight in the eye and said, as if hammering nails into a barrel:

"Your father will definitely die, your mother may live. If you want to save your people and soldiers and reduce their casualties, you must also keep yourself alive, obediently go to the capital and become Di En's wife."

Bea Triss appears to be nailed to the ground.

She was weak all over and her face was pale, but she still sat there with her back straight, like a specimen, living as if dead, and dead as if alive.

Li Qianxia reached out and gently put her arm around her shoulder.

"Any more questions?" Li Changzhou asked again.

After waiting for three seconds, he said, "Get out of the car."

Five people got off the bus.

"There's nothing wrong with liking to drive around, but don't do bad things again next time," Li Changzhou said to Wen Caroline before leaving.

"You really intend to let me go?" Win Caroline seemed a little incredulous.

She bluntly told him everything, not because she believed his promises, but because she was prepared to die, and that in the face of absolute power, it didn't matter if her secrets were known.

"The fundamental reason is that I am a person who keeps my promises; the secondary reason is that killing you or not killing you has no harm or benefit."

Li Changzhou turned to leave.

“You could consider coming with me,” Win Caroline said to them from the driver’s seat. “At least no one will hurt you on the road.”

"No, thank you."

"Are you planning to return to the duchy? To throw your lives away?"

Li Changzhou did not answer.

"Zhou Weiss! I'll remember you. If I catch you, I'll let you go this time!"

"Thanks!"

"Finally! I have a piece of advice for you—you're terrible at piloting your mech, so just give up on the mission and go back to driving an excavator!"

"Hey, did you hear that? She said I'd be perfect for driving an excavator!"

"Shut up."

As they entered the darkness, the five moved quickly.

The three cold moons hung in the sky, like the eyes of three people. No matter how fast they ran or how well they hid, if they looked up, the three people's gazes would always be on them.

"You really let her go? You didn't secretly poison her?" Yaochi suddenly asked.

“Otherwise?” Li Changzhou said.

Yaochi snorted coldly: "If I had known it would turn out like this, I would have killed her with one blow before I left. How dare she lie to me!"

"Next time, please be more direct. I said let others go, but you don't have to."

Yaochi glared at him: "How could I possibly not give you face in front of outsiders?"

"...If you really think we're on the same side, then don't say things that could affect internal unity, right, Miss Yang?"

"Find a place to take off your clothes." Yang Qinglan kept her eyes on the surroundings.

"This... isn't it too fast? Three, no, five, no, four people together..."

Before Yaochi could figure out the number of people, Li Changzhou spoke up: "You suspect there's something wrong with the clothes she gave us?"

Yang Qinglan nodded: "We disappeared for six hours yesterday. If it were me, I would definitely try to find out why and install a new locator. Caroline's deception is a countermeasure to keep us under surveillance."

“But,” Li Changzhou hesitated for a moment, “what will we wear if we take them off?”

"You go first."

"I agree!" Yaochi immediately laughed, her voice practically dripping with saliva as if she were about to devour someone.

"No, well, I... I get shy when people look at my butt."

"Then stop talking nonsense and hurry up and find a place to change your clothes." Perhaps this was what Yang Qinglan wanted to say from the beginning.

The three chatted casually, their conversation simmering with tension, while discussing how to shake off their pursuers.

Li Qianxia carried Beya Triss on her back and gently comforted her.
