The King of Black Fog

"The situation is turning grim," one said.

"Hasn't it always been like this?" came the reply.

Chapter 368 The Three-Eyed Extreme Fish (shuhaige.net)

Before me lies a water surface divided into a grid pattern by fine sand, resembling a paddy field. The surface is flat and the area is vast, like an endless lake or even an ocean.

The place was empty, with no one in sight. The water was calm and still, and apart from Li Changzhou, there was nothing above the water's surface—the fine gauze was merely floating on the water.

Standing on the water, Li Changzhou felt as if he were in a mirror world, or as if he had entered a place of the soul.

The sky was completely clear, without a single obstruction or cloud, giving it an unreal quality, like an unfinished painting.

"Rat-a-tat-tat!"

The sound, like that of an old-fashioned hand tractor, was caught by Li Changzhou from a great distance, breaking the deathly silence before him.

Li Changzhou didn't move. He squatted down and checked the water. The light from his kidney chakra slightly surpassed that of his heart, liver, spleen, and lungs.

It is indeed water, but it is different from ordinary water on Earth. It contains different elements, and Li Changzhou, a top liberal arts student, has no idea what they are.

Not to mention Guanyin, an ancient figure.

Li Changzhou stood up and looked to his right. The thumping sound was getting closer and closer. First, a small dot appeared on the horizon, and then it grew larger at a constant speed.

It is an old floating vessel that would absolutely fail its annual inspection.

Thirty centimeters above the water, the boat was reduced to a raft-like chassis, and every "thud" it made gave the impression that it was about to fall apart.

On the airship were two girls, one older and one younger, the older one looking no more than twelve or thirteen years old.

They were dressed in tattered clothes, and when they saw Li Changzhou, the younger one clung tightly to the older girl.

The airship began to slow down. The girl bit her lower lip, stared at Li Changzhou for a while, and then continued to steer the ship over.

The boat slowly sailed into the paddy field at Li Changzhou's feet and stopped in front of him.

"Hurry up!" the girl urged in a low voice.

The little girl loosened her grip on the hem of her clothes and, together with the girl, picked up the fishing net from the boat and began casting it with practiced ease and effort.

A bizarre world, high-tech airships, and simple fishing nets—for some reason, Li Changzhou felt a sense of loss, as if civilization was weeping, even though it had once flourished.

This is not simply an illusion.

Having reached his current level, especially with his S-level emotional control, some of his profound insights are very likely to be true.

After the fishing net was cast, the two girls, both frightened and wary, continued to stare at him without saying a word.

After a while, as if a time had been set, the two began to close the net at the same time.

The net contained some trash, some broken and perhaps also trashy parts, and a pitifully small number of fish and shrimp.

The girl took a shrimp off the fishing net and handed it to the little girl, who, as if she hadn't eaten for days, gnawed on the shrimp and swallowed it whole, while continuing to help pull in the net with both hands.

After securing the fishing nets, the airship immediately set off.

A sputtering sound rang out, but before it could leave the paddy field, the airship made a snorting sound and stopped in place.

Before the girl could react, the little girl grabbed a steel pipe-like stick and, with all her might, whipped the engine at the stern of the floating boat as if it were a horse's rear end.

Bang! Bang!

The engine reluctantly made two noises, then started chugging again.

The two women relaxed slightly, but soon became fearful again. Li Changzhou slowly walked towards them, but what terrified them even more was that the airship stalled again and became unusable.

"Don't come any closer!" The girl suddenly pulled out a cluster gun.

The little girl, holding the steel pipe she had just used to hit the engine, stood beside the girl like a red-eyed rabbit, glaring at Li Changzhou.

The little girl's perspective was a bit off; her left eye was a normal eye, but the pupil in her right eye was rolling around—it was a prosthetic eye that wasn't working.

Li Changzhou kept walking.

Bang!

The bullet left the barrel, splitting at the muzzle into countless small bombs that hurtled towards Li Changzhou like torpedoes.

Li Changzhou brought his right middle and ring fingers together and swung them to the right, sending the cluster bullets flying away like a picture on a mobile phone screen.

Boom!

Two bolts of blue lightning struck, hitting the two sisters who were about to jump into the river.

"ah!

The little girl was so frightened that she clung tightly to the girl, who held her tightly in return, gritting her teeth and closing her eyes. Their thin bodies trembled in the blue light.

The blue light gradually disappeared, and the girl opened her eyes. She was unharmed and momentarily confused.

"Ouch, it hurts! Sister!" the little girl in her arms suddenly screamed.

"Xin!" The older sister picked up the little girl, her tense little face suddenly freezing.

On Xin's face, the useless prosthetic eye was forcibly squeezed out of its socket and replaced by a new, living eye!

Holy Master - Heavenly God Path

"Do you know what a Three-Eyed Fish is?"

The girl, who was holding Xin, turned to look at Li Changzhou and swallowed hard. "I...I don't know."

Li Changzhou looked at Xin: "Her expression... doesn't seem like she doesn't know."

Before the girl could react, Xin was already being held in Li Changzhou's arms.

"Let go of my sister!" The girl picked up the fallen cluster gun, fired two blank shots, then angrily threw the gun aside and picked up a steel pipe.

boom!

Li Changzhou leaped up and soared into the sky. He could vaguely hear the girl's angry roar, choked with sobs, and the steel pipe that was tossed up and then fell back down.

Xin wasn't particularly afraid. Her field of vision expanded, the world became clearer, her breathing was smoother than ever before, her body was full of strength, and she felt that even the weather had improved. Even though she was being held captive, she still felt excited.

Li Changzhou left her on the clouds.

The soul-searching spell cannot be used on a seven or eight-year-old child.

He said, "I have no ill intentions and I don't want to hurt the children. If you can tell me about the three-eyed polar fish, I can take you away from this planet and give you a safe living environment."
