"The situation is turning grim," one said.
"Hasn't it always been like this?" came the reply.
...
Eagles soar through the sky, fish dart in the shallow waters,...
Turn your upper body to look around, and you see an endless expanse where the airport floor and ceiling merge into one at the edge of your vision.
Looking up, rows of large lights can be seen on the ceiling, which is many meters high.
To the south is a floor-to-ceiling glass wall, outside which is an airport with hundreds of planes lying like giant beasts on the runway.
The airport was eerily empty, making one suspect that even a light cough would create a huge echo, thus attracting the attention of the "monster plane" outside the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Those behemoth-like airplanes would lift up, as if viewing a miniature scene in a glass tank, looking at them from outside the floor-to-ceiling windows.
"Let's go," Chang'e said. "They said there are too many people and we need to change our boarding passes."
At a service counter resembling a pool, they exchanged the plane ticket in Chang'e's hand for six boarding passes.
After the official player at the service desk handed them their boarding passes, he greeted Li Changzhou with an absolutely perfect smile and said:
"Hello, welcome aboard this flight. Your 'no restrictions' have been lifted. Please do not run around or move about, otherwise you will be charged a fee and punished accordingly."
"If there are no restrictions, can I take other flights?"
The official female player with six pairs of eyes smiled brightly, like a female character from a two-dimensional anime preparing to say, "I love Changzhou-kun the most."
"Sorry, this is prohibited."
She also touched her cheek with her finger.
"Brother?" Li Qianxia's face was between Li Changzhou and the six-eyed official female player.
"This guy deserves a beating," Li Changzhou said.
"What are you doing?" Li Qianxia asked curiously. "You kept staring at her, and she even tried to act cute for you, and you said she deserved to be beaten up. That's very rude."
"Hmm?" Li Changzhou looked around, and Yang Qinglan and the others looked at him in confusion.
As he relayed the conversation to them, he speculated, "Every official player has an instinct at the level of a game administrator; perhaps this is her authority."
Everyone was somewhat surprised.
They were completely unaware of what was happening right before their eyes; a scene that the value game accidentally revealed was enough to make the players obedient.
The six people left the service counter and sat facing each other on rows of benches in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows—Little Radish sat down, and the chair automatically adjusted to fit him perfectly.
The surroundings were silent and deserted, except for them, like a group of people sitting around a fire on the seabed.
Yang Qinglan whispered to Chang'e, sharing some of her experience as a player.
Li Qianxia knelt on the chair, looking around into the distance. Suddenly, she tugged at Li Changzhou's sleeve.
Li Changzhou followed her gaze, and the others also looked over. It was another group of players, who looked like a group of alien animals, not from Earth.
The other person also looked at them.
In the empty waiting hall, the two groups stared at each other silently for two seconds.
"They all seem to be at the Celestial Immortal level!" Li Qianxia sat up straight and whispered.
It was somewhat unexpected, but nothing surprising; plane tickets were meant for these kinds of people anyway.
Yang Qinglan glanced at it and then looked away, continuing to whisper to Chang'e.
"Players aboard Wilderness Flight A-01, please prepare to board."
Yaochi glanced at her boarding pass and stood up: "It's our turn."
"But where do we board?" Li Qianxia stood up, her eyes darting around—that's what she had been looking for.
Right in front of the bench where the six people were sitting, the glass wall suddenly extended outward, like an invisible finger poking a hole in the wall.
The glass wall was stretched into a glass walkway.
Amidst a thunderous roar, an aircraft took off from its parking position and slowly docked its cabin door with the glass walkway.
Another official player checked the tickets for the six people. After checking the tickets, they walked through the glass walkway, as if entering the body of a monster.
The interior is simple, divided into two levels.
There are two options: first, the standard cabin, where players only have semi-enclosed cubicles; second, a paid private room, which is fully equipped and offers absolute privacy.
"Brother, let's get a room!" Li Qianxia waved her hand, telling Li Changzhou to pay.
Where did Li Changzhou get the money? He spent it all on buying Kalanchoe pinnata.
"We're the only passengers on the plane, why would we need a room? We'll sit in the lobby!"
To accommodate Chang'e, they chose an ancient-style cubicle. As soon as they sat down, the plane immediately detached from the glass walkway.
They were the only passengers on this flight.
The plane races along the runway, fully focused, then suddenly takes off, forcefully pulling itself away from the magnetic ground with tremendous power.
The plane shuddered in mid-air.
Everyone gripped the handrails tightly, just like ordinary passengers on a regular airplane.
"Please rest assured, passengers, the aircraft is breaking free from the constraints of time and space. In order to save costs, there will be occasional slight shaking. All of this is normal."
"If passengers feel unwell, they can purchase an 'upgrade cabin' service from the flight attendant."
Everyone listened quietly to the whole thing, expecting some important information, but it turned out to be an advertisement.
Yang Qinglan seemed to have finished speaking, and finally said, "There is no worse learning environment than the Value Game. Experience here may only reinforce mistakes repeatedly—"
"Sometimes experience doesn't make things easier for you; sometimes it can even give you blind confidence, leading you to your own demise."
"So, take what I say as advice only, don't take it too seriously."
Chang'e nodded: "Even if you wanted to take it seriously, it would be difficult. I always do things only to my own liking."
"That's for the best." Yang Qinglan smiled slightly. At twenty years old and married, she possessed the gentle charm of a young woman and the youthful vitality of a girl.
The plane kept shaking.
