The King of Black Fog

"The situation is turning grim," one said.

"Hasn't it always been like this?" came the reply.

Chapter Forty-Three: Door-to-Door Visit

The three people from dormitory 407 walked into the courtyard, saw the target, and all exclaimed.

"Brother-in-law, do you really want to be a macho man?" Dong patted the shield target, which felt as solid as a stone.

"Being true to my word is one of my finest qualities. Come in, the girls' dormitory is already here."

The three immediately lost interest in the shield target.

After entering the living room, both sides exchanged polite greetings and began to eat.

"I heard there were gunshots over the moat this morning?" If Chen Shao had brought up this topic, it would have been a dig at Liu Bang, but since it was Da Huang who brought it up, he was genuinely curious.

“Yeah, I heard about it too,” said Xu Xiao, a girl in Li Qianxia’s dorm.

"A crocodile has escaped." Chen Shao said in a knowing tone, "I heard it's as big as a dinosaur."

"Things these days are getting weirder and weirder. I once saw a video of an apple tree with apples as big as balls."

Li Changzhou ate his meal in silence.

Pick up a slice of beef, dip it in the spicy noodles, pop it into your mouth, chew it thoroughly, then pick up a Sprite and sip it like a shot of liquor.

"ha--"

The carbon dioxide gas rushed straight to my head, it felt amazing.

He then went to get some large prawns, which were quite plump.

“I saw a news report before that some fishermen said they saw mermaids at sea!” Da Huang said.

"What kind of fish is a mermaid?" Li Changzhou asked casually.

"A mermaid! A mermaid who's half human and half fish! Have you seen the movie? The kind with long hair and a great figure!"

The joke had barely begun when everyone burst into laughter.

“Speaking of which, I know one too.” Another girl in the girls’ dormitory also got interested. “There’s a death metal band from abroad whose lead singer is an African grey parrot.”

The eight people ate and chatted, creating a lively atmosphere. They laughed and joked for a long time about things that weren't particularly funny.

After lunch, everyone decided to take a stroll around the neighborhood.

Li Changzhou didn't go. If everyone has left, what's the point of Yang Qinglan sleeping here?

He washed the dishes, wiped the table clean, and trained under the apricot tree in the courtyard.

Instead of continuing to practice his Mighty Bull Demon Fist, he took out his phone and searched for "martial arts" online.

He has the physique, strength, and agility, but he has never been exposed to combat and is unclear about many things, such as what moves to make in different situations.

Just like someone who is smart enough can definitely solve a math problem by memorizing it, but learning the formula makes the process much easier.

If you are strong enough, you can certainly overcome any martial art, even the most powerful ones, by being fast, or by using brute force to defeat all techniques.

Unfortunately, if one of the cows had fallen, he would have been beaten to death.

"Kicking techniques: kicking, stomping, springing, pointing, wrapping, swinging, sweeping, hooking..."

Li Changzhou held his phone in his left hand and kicked the shield target with both feet at various angles and in various postures.

The crackling sounds of impact continued to explode.

"Fighting techniques: charging, ramming, squeezing, leaning, collapsing, chopping, lifting, smashing..."

"The methods of taking, including: 刁 (diāo), 拿 (ná), 锁 (suǒ), 扣 (kòu), 封 (fēng), 闭 (bì), 错 (cuò), 截 (jié)..."

Li Changzhou practiced strictly according to the requirements, and never simplified or abandoned some simple moves on his own because of his strength and speed.

If you want to build a tall building, you must dig a deep foundation.

Whether it's useful or not, whether it needs simplification or not, actual combat will naturally help him make the decision, but if he doesn't practice in advance without permission, he might miss that crucial moment by lacking just a little bit of inspiration.

Two hours later, Li Qianxia and the others returned, having bought nothing.

"Long day, we're leaving," the girl said.

"Brother-in-law, let's go." Da Huang and the others also greeted him.

"Take care." Li Changzhou prepared to see them off.

After he walked past, the girl and the boy stopped and stared at what was behind him.

"What's wrong?" Li Changzhou turned around. Yang Qinglan stretched and walked from Li Qianxia's room into the courtyard.

A traditional courtyard, verdant apricot leaves, bathed in dappled sunlight at the center of the universe.

"You two are living together?!" Xu Xiao shouted.

"Not yet," Yang Qinglan said with a smile, putting down her hand that had been stretching.

"Not yet?! Does that mean you'll be living together in the future?!" Dong Ge roared.

"I guess so," Yang Qinglan said.

Three boys and three girls turned their faces toward Li Changzhou like weeds being blown by the wind.

"Qinglan!" Li Qianxia took two steps forward and walked to her side.

Yang Qinglan whispered with a smile in her ear, "We can't build two bases, can we? Living on one base is practically cohabitation, isn't it?"

"Brother, this woman is playing you." Li Qianxia has no affiliation and always stands on the side that can stir up conflict.

“I can tell.” Li Changzhou mimicked Yang Qinglan’s tone when they first met.

Yang Qinglan glanced at Li Changzhou, then turned to Li Qianxia and asked, "Is there anything to eat? I'm hungry."

"Yes, I just cooked it and saved a portion for you. I used new bowls and chopsticks. By the way, how's your cold? Are you still dizzy?"

"Much better."

"Brother, you take Xiaoxiao and the others home, I'll stay with Qinglan," Li Qianxia instructed Li Changzhou.

When he was seeing people off, Li Changzhou was surrounded and questioned by Da Huang, Chen Shao, Dong Ge and the others for a while before he finally pulled himself back to the courtyard, his collar having been pulled off.

"Um?"

Li Changzhou, who was about to go to the living room to settle accounts with Yang Qinglan, stopped and squatted down by the sand shield target. He wiped his hand on the ground and found some sand on his fingertips.

He rubbed his fingertips, stood up, and carefully examined the shield target, finding a hole.

Did you buy a defective product?

"Knock knock!"

"Who is it?" Li Changzhou clapped his hands and walked towards the door.

"Zheng Qing".
