Chapter 13

Ever since Yan Xuanjin took the cat on a tour of the Dark Blade base, every member of the organization had come to know this well-behaved and affectionate little cat. When not on a mission, the cat was allowed to roam most of the base, and whenever it encountered someone approaching (like a hummingbird), they would pick it up, pamper it, and then let it go.

The cat's life calmed down after being questioned that day, and it also selectively ignored the inexplicable glances that Yan Xuanjin sometimes cast at it.

But only a kitten could have such a comfortable life. Yan Xuanjin had recently lost his temper many times over this kitten. The access rights he had applied for from the laboratory as the leader of the Dark Blade Organization hadn't been granted, and this had put Yan Xuanjin in a bad mood.
