Chapter 111 A sudden spatial-temporal turbulence plunges them into a predicament.

During their time in the prosperous era, Ling Yichen and Jun Moran had adapted to life there. They were excelling in many areas, including cultural dissemination, cultivating their relationship, and dealing with crises, as if they had become part of this ancient era. However, the gears of fate suddenly turned, and an unexpected spatial-temporal turbulence, like a roaring beast, ruthlessly shattered their peaceful lives, plunging them into an unknown and dangerous predicament.

It was an ordinary morning, the sunlight just beginning to fall on the ancient city walls, casting a golden glow. Ling Yichen was lecturing to his students in the academy, his voice echoing in the classroom as they listened attentively. Jun Moran was in her embroidery workshop, needle and thread in hand, intently embroidering an exquisite pattern on a piece of silk. The workshop was filled with the unique scent of silk and fabric. Suddenly, the sky changed dramatically. The once clear sky was instantly shrouded in dark clouds, the clouds forming a strange vortex, like a giant black hole slowly swallowing everything around them.

Ling Yichen noticed the unusual sky, and a sense of foreboding washed over him. He quickly stopped lecturing and left the classroom. Jun Mo Ran also put down her needlework, left the embroidery shop, and looked up at the sky. Just then, a strong gust of wind swept in from the sky, making people lose their footing. People on the streets fled in terror, shouts and cries mingling together. Ling Yichen and Jun Mo Ran searched frantically for each other in the crowd, their eyes filled with anxiety and worry. Finally, they met at a street corner and embraced tightly.

"What's going on? Is there something wrong with spacetime?" Ling Yichen shouted, his voice barely audible in the howling wind. Jun Mo Ran shook her head, her face pale. "I don't know either, but this force seems incredibly powerful. We must be careful." They tried to find a safe place to take shelter, but the surrounding houses swayed precariously under the powerful airflow, offering no protection whatsoever.

As the spatial turbulence intensified, the surrounding scenery began to distort and blur. Ling Yichen and Jun Moran found themselves seemingly trapped in a giant vortex, with everything around them spinning and shifting rapidly. They saw modern skyscrapers intertwined with ancient pavilions and towers, and the roar of cars mingled with the tinkling of carriage bells. This distorted spatial and temporal landscape left them dizzy and disoriented.

In the chaos, they were pulled forward by a powerful force, involuntarily moving forward. They tried to grab onto surrounding objects to steady themselves, but those objects instantly vanished in their hands, as if they were merely phantom images. Suddenly, Ling Yichen felt his feet slip, and they fell into a dark abyss. During the fall, they held each other's hands tightly, their hearts filled with fear and despair.

After an unknown amount of time, they landed heavily on unfamiliar land. All around them was a barren desert, the scorching sun relentlessly baking the earth, the sand so hot it was almost untouchable. Ling Yichen and Jun Mozhan struggled to their feet. Looking around, they found themselves in a completely unfamiliar environment, with no familiar landmarks or signs indicating their location.

"Where are we? Have we traveled to another time and space?" Jun Mo Ran asked weakly. Ling Yi Chen frowned, trying to recall the scenes he had seen in the spacetime turbulence, but his mind was a mess: "I'm not sure, but we must find a way out of here as soon as possible." They trudged through the desert, each step requiring tremendous effort. The sand beneath their feet was incredibly soft, causing them to sink deep into it, making movement extremely difficult. Moreover, water and food were scarce in the desert, and they soon felt unbearably thirsty, their strength gradually waning.

After walking for some time, they discovered an ancient ruin. The ruin's architectural style was peculiar, completely different from any architecture they had seen in the Sheng Hua Dynasty or in modern times. A glimmer of hope ignited in Ling Yichen and Jun Moran's hearts; they believed that this ruin might hold clues about the spatial anomalies or a way to leave. They cautiously entered the ruin, which was dark, damp, and filled with an ancient aura. The walls were covered with various strange symbols and patterns, but they couldn't decipher their meaning.

Deep within the ruins, they encountered a mysterious creature. This enormous creature possessed sharp claws and teeth, its eyes gleaming with an eerie light. Upon seeing Ling Yichen and Jun Mo Ran, it roared and pounced on them. Ling Yichen quickly shielded Jun Mo Ran behind him, picking up a stone from the ground, preparing to fight the creature. Jun Mo Ran, meanwhile, nervously surveyed their surroundings behind him, searching for usable weapons or an escape route.

Ling Yichen engaged in a fierce battle with the mysterious creature. With his agile movements and unwavering will, he skillfully dodged the creature's attacks and launched timely counterattacks. He struck the creature in the eye with a stone, temporarily blinding it, then charged at it, kicking it in the abdomen with all his might. However, the creature was thick-skinned, and Ling Yichen's attack did not cause it much damage. Instead, the creature became even more enraged after being attacked, swinging its claws and nearly scratching Ling Yichen.

Seeing Ling Yichen in danger, Jun Mo Ran was frantic with worry. Suddenly, she noticed a mechanism on the wall and rushed over without hesitation, pressing it. A hidden door slowly opened, and a bright beam of light shot out. The mysterious creature seemed quite afraid of this light; it stopped attacking and turned to flee deeper into the ruins. Ling Yichen breathed a sigh of relief and looked at Jun Mo Ran gratefully: "Thanks to you, Mo Ran, otherwise I really wouldn't know what to do." Jun Mo Ran smiled and said, "We're in this together. No matter what difficulties we encounter, we must support each other."
