Don't betray me

The bright summer sun made it difficult for Huang Yaya to open her eyes. After she had finally adapted to the sunlight, she felt something in her right hand. She hurriedly stood up to check, and what appeared in her still sore eyes was a neatly folded piece of paper.

"No way!" Huang Yaya's voice was filled with disbelief.

With trembling hands, she opened the white paper with golden lines. On it were written three elegant and graceful characters in regular script: Huo Weixi!

"Heh~heh~, how could this happen~" Huang Yaya's tone was as panicked as if she had seen a ghost, and she was at a loss.

"No, no~"

In that world she wasn't sure if it existed, Huo Weixi pressed the note into her hand and said firmly, "This note is called Qiansi. As long as you hold it tightly before you go back, it will prove everything."

Huo Weixi did not explain to Huang Yaya what "thinking about someone" meant, but his expression was very firm.

Huang Yaya opened her eyes wide, slightly parted her lips, and pronounced these three words word by word: "Huo Wei Xi."

"Huo Weixi!"

Her tears were like a July rainstorm, dripping onto the three words "Huo Weixi". The black ink was gradually blurred by her tears, as if reminding Huang Yaya that these words were written not long ago.

She didn't have a brush at home, nor did she have such dark and mellow ink, so she couldn't write such elegant calligraphy.

“So this is all true~”

This piece of paper and the three words on it had such a strong impact on her, just like the house she had worked hard to build for twenty years was suddenly blown down by a gust of wind and turned into ruins.

She was prepared to be a psychopath, and to be like Narcissus in Greek mythology, the beautiful boy who fell in love with his own reflection in the water!

Huang Yaya hugged her knees with her hands, buried her head deep in her body, and her tears soaked into her clothes. She had hoped that this would be the reality, but now that it was the reality, she didn't know what to do.

Although she kept telling herself that this was not a dream and Huo Weixi was real, all these hints were just to make her more immersed in this game of love and desire.

Although she was shaken in her heart, she didn't believe it deep down. Her deepest heart kept telling her that everything was just her fantasy game, a game that belonged only to her!!!

She clutched the paper tightly until it wrinkled, then she stood up and walked to the desk, slowly and gently smoothing out the paper with her hands, stroking the three words. Perhaps she pressed too hard, and a few holes appeared on the wrinkled paper.

Joy? Doubt? Pain? These emotions kept tangling in her heart. She really loved Huo Weixi, but how deep could her love go?

If he was just her fantasy, she could have spent her whole life dreaming about him. But now he was a real person, a living person.

The past scenes replayed in her mind. Her frivolous actions and unrealistic words now turned into whips that lashed her heart. She realized that she had never truly understood or respected Huo Weixi.

During dinner, Mother Huang kept chattering about the rising vegetable prices, how difficult life was, and who's daughter had given birth to another son...

Not long after, Mother Huang turned the topic to Huang Yaya, telling her that people should be grateful and filial.

Huang Yaya was in no mood to listen to her mother's usual talk. The shock brought to her by the piece of paper had not yet subsided from her heart.

"Mr. Huang, look at your daughter. She has become like you. She ignores you when you talk to her!" Mother Huang saw that Huang Yaya ignored her and started to blame her again.

Huang's father quickened his eating pace, shoveling rice into his mouth in big mouthfuls, while Huang Zijian was used to it. Anyway, ever since the aunt came to pay New Year's greetings, Huang's mother would always find an opportunity to admonish her daughter to be filial.

"Mom, are you in menopause? Let me go with you to check it out." Huang Yaya asked with some concern. She felt that her mother was becoming more and more irritable this summer. In addition, her mother was not young anymore, which was consistent with the menopausal symptoms she learned about on the Internet.

The ceramic bowl was slammed down on the marble tabletop. The crisp sound made Huang's father and Huang Zijian stop eating.

Huang's mother's face flushed red with anger, her eyes widened with rage, and she cursed, "You are your mother, how dare you scold me? You are such an uneducated thing. What's wrong with me saying a few words to you? I raised you so big, can't I say a few words to you?"

Huang's father also blamed: "Huang Yaya, what nonsense are you talking about!"

Isn't menopause something every woman will inevitably experience around the age of 50? How can it be considered an insult?

Moreover, she really cared about her mother and had looked up a lot of information about menopause on the Internet in advance. She felt that her mother's symptoms were very similar to menopause, so she asked with concern.

The earthquake in her heart had not yet stopped when another dark cloud came!

The mother did not notice her daughter's sorrow, and the daughter could not accept her mother's teachings!

"I'm full!" Huang Yaya put down her bowl and chopsticks and said calmly.

Under the cold gaze of Huang's mother, she walked into the room without looking back!

"She was so sensible when she was little, why is she becoming more and more naive as she grows up..."

Huang's mother's voice reached her ears intermittently. She simply took out the wrinkled paper with watermarks that was tucked inside Crime and Punishment and gently stroked the words back and forth with her hand.
