Su Li was his kept woman for four years. During the day, she was a dedicated secretary, and at night, she was his affectionate 'partner.'
One day, rumors spread within their circle th...
"What do you know that's interesting, you little kid? Don't talk nonsense," Su Li said dismissively.
"How could I not know? There are plenty of couples at our school. I can see it very clearly. Brother Song looks like he's interested in you. Otherwise, why would he be so nice to you?" Su Chen said logically.
"That might be a mistake his sister made, and he wants to make amends for her."
I don't think so.
Su Li gently patted her younger brother's head. "Alright, stop talking nonsense. You just mentioned dating. You're not dating anyone, are you? If you are, you have to report to me."
“I had a lot of suitors at school, but I didn’t like any of them. I thought they were all immature and we couldn’t get along.”
Even if you get along well, you can't start dating too early.
"I know, you're trying to lecture me again."
Su Li opened the hotel room door and went inside, then reached for Su Chen's backpack. "Do you have a cell phone signal? Call me."
"No, they told me there was no signal when I arrived, and then my phone broke when I was playing basketball. They're taking it to get it fixed."
"What a coincidence?"
Su Li frowned, her keen senses alerting her to something amiss.
Su Chen's voice brought her back to reality, "Sister, did you resign from your previous job with the big boss?"
"Yes, I resigned."
"My sister is truly charming; she quickly found her current big boss."
"Don't talk nonsense, go wash up now."
"Okay."
In the evening, Su Li went out to buy some dinner, and when she came back, she saw Su Chen squatting at the door of the room.
What are you doing squatting here?
"Sis," Su Chen said mysteriously, pulling her into the room, "I feel like the people here are acting strange, don't you think?"
"What's strange about it?"
"I just went downstairs to get something from the front desk and saw some people playing games and making videos, etc."
Is there anything strange about that?
"Isn't there no signal here? Why can they use their phones so freely?"
That made Su Li feel strange too.
She opened the door and glanced down the hallway, just in time to see a waiter passing by.
The waiter was visibly surprised to see her, then greeted her politely, "Good evening, Ms. Su."
"Hello."
Su Li closed the door and nodded, saying, "The people here are really strange. I clearly don't know that waitress, but she knows my surname is Su."
"Have we stumbled into a bandit's den? I've heard that the thugs on the border are rampant, committing all sorts of arson, murder, and looting. It's terrifying."
"You watch too many TV dramas."
"How about I go down and check it out for you tonight?"
"I'll go with you."
The siblings probably plotted something, and waited until the hotel was quiet in the early hours of the morning before going out.
They slipped out through the back door, avoiding the hotel's security cameras.
"Sis, let's split up. You go over there and I'll go over here, then we'll meet at the crossroads ahead."
"Okay, first we need to determine exactly where we are, and whether there is really no signal?"
"good."
As they turned around, they were suddenly stopped by two bodyguards.
Su Li and Su Chen exchanged a glance. Had they been discovered so quickly?
The bodyguard turned to look at the car parked by the roadside and said, "Mr. Song, Miss Su is here."
Song Qinze got out of the car and approached them.
Su Chen whispered, "Sis, what brings Brother Song here? Is he looking for you?"
Su Li: "How would I know?"
Su Chen: "You have so many suitors outside."
Su Li: "You brat, shut up."
Song Qinze had already arrived in front of them. "You two are acting suspiciously. Where are you planning to go?"
