She tried to get out of bed but he grabbed her. "Who said you were dirty? Didn't you say you had cancer before? Go to the hospital for another checkup to see if it was a misdiagnosis."

Su Li froze, looking at him hesitantly.

Quan Ye raised his hand and gently stroked her hair, a rare tenderness appearing in his eyes. "I found your brother. He told me what happened. I shouldn't have misunderstood you."

"Hehe, Master Quan is incredibly powerful and his word is law. You can think whatever you want, I don't care."

"Still angry, huh?"

He pulled her into his arms, his tone clearly indicating that he was giving in.

This was the first time he had ever admitted defeat to himself.

Su Li felt very warm inside, but on the surface she still maintained a cold and aloof demeanor.

"I'm not angry, I just think you're too domineering, Mr. Quan, and you won't listen to my explanation at all."

"Then I'll listen more next time?"
