Chapter 33: Two Qin Fengnian Extra

"Mr. Qin? Mr. Qin?"

Qin Fengnian was awakened by a cautious call in his ear. He closed his eyes and hummed, "What's the matter?"

The visitor respectfully reported, "There was a problem during the testing of the new drilling rig, and I need you to take a look."

The person just said in a soft and concerned voice: "It's time for lunch, why are you still working?" Then she gently pulled the drawing out of his sight, put her slender arms around his neck, and gave him a kiss on the side of his cheek.

Qin Fengnian froze. His mind was not used to such intimacy, but his body did not reject it. He instinctively put his arms around her slender waist and held her on his lap.

On the way, Qin Fengnian realized he was going in the wrong direction and tried to test him: "Aren't you going to the cafeteria to eat?"

Rong Zhen turned her head abruptly, looking at him with a somewhat serious gaze, but she answered briskly, "Jin Yu and Chan Juan are all at home today. We won't be eating in the cafeteria for lunch. Let's go home and cook."

Who is Jin Yu Chan Juan? A doubt flashed through Qin Fengnian's mind, but he cautiously didn't ask any more questions and followed Rong Zhen back to the courtyard.

'Qin Fengnian' listened with great interest. These were all things he had longed for but had not been able to do. He envied 'himself' here.

"Do you want to stay?" A voice seemed to be asking him.

Qin Fengnian shook his head: "He is me, but he is not me. We both have our own paths to follow. Let's go back to our respective places."

He likes the warmth of the family here, likes his beautiful and considerate wife, and likes his lively and lovely children, but he does not have all of these. He cannot occupy the life of another self, nor can he let her and the children down.

So he came and went.

The two Qin Fengnians separated from each other's bodies at the same time and met at the fork in time and space.

They saw each other, and in an instant they saw each other's past and future, plus a novel about them.

The story tells of Qin Fengnian, a mechanical genius who returned from overseas to work. He met Zhao Hongxing, a young accountant in the finance department, in his hometown machinery factory.
