Crown Prince Zhang Youye from the Jing Circle. He was known for his noble, lazy, and unruly nature. After encountering his mother's affair, he was determined not to go through with the arranged...
Shuyi and I pushed open the door and left.
Zhang Youye immediately called his good friend.
On the phone, he emphasized that today was an auspicious day, and that he was currently in Chiayi City. He told the other party that if they knew what was good for them, they should hurry up and come to the night market to meet him.
On the other end of the phone.
After listening to his impassioned speech, Lu Kechen, who was holding a test tube and preparing to conduct an experiment, was completely bewildered.
"What's gotten into you again? What's so special about this day? Have you found that girl you fell in love with at first sight?"
"You'll find out when you get here. Bring your top designer with you too. I don't care about anything else, I need to see you within an hour. Otherwise, I'll have your lab blown up, you believe me?"
After saying that, the young master hung up the phone.
As I walked out of the building alongside the young master, I saw that he looked very excited, like a child who had received the biggest lollipop in the world.
The smile that appeared on his lips was bright and direct, more eye-catching than the blazing summer sun.
"So happy?" Shu Yi asked with a helpless smile.
"Of course, back in Jiaxing, Ah Chen was always showing off his love in front of me. Now it's finally my turn, so I have to show off in front of him a few times. Otherwise, I'll have been eating all that dog food for nothing."
The two walked slowly under the dim lampposts. Upon hearing this, Shu Yi subconsciously turned her head to look at him.
He wore a well-tailored casual outfit that draped loosely over his body. He seemed to habitually put his right hand in his pocket, while his left hand hung naturally at his side.
As he walks, the light falling to his side appears and disappears intermittently due to the amplitude of his arm swing.
His sleeves were rolled up a few inches, revealing his strong forearms. Perhaps due to years of fitness training, his forearms had beautiful lines, possibly the ideal lines for an art student.
The watch on her bony wrist was a brand that Shu Yi had never seen before.
Even when bent, the slender and well-proportioned fingertips of a man with pale white fingers still reveal their beauty without diminishing his sense of strength.
The veins on the back of his hand are clearly visible, but the color is not striking.
If it were these two fingers...
Stop!
Startled by the sudden surge of thoughts in my mind, I almost suffocated and immediately stopped the intoxicating reverie.
Shu Yi subconsciously shook her head, then quietly raised her hand to test the temperature of her cheek.
Sure enough, the crimson hue had just faded.
They're up here again.
Noticing Shu Yi's subtle movements, Zhang Youye asked with concern, "What's wrong?"
"Hmm? It's nothing." Shu Yi calmly waved her hand and shook her head, pretending to be composed as she changed the subject, "By the way, there are many kinds of food at the night market, what would you like to eat?"
As they spoke, the two walked out of the residential compound.
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed several men of similar age getting out of their cars outside the residential area, and their gazes kept lingering on the women beside them.
An overwhelming possessiveness suddenly surged forth.
Zhang Youye lazily stretched out his long arm, made a circle in the air, and landed steadily on Shu Yi's shoulder.
He glanced around, then leaned closer to her forehead, amidst the stares or shock of the men around them.
As if asserting his sovereignty, he gently placed a kiss on his lips.
"We're fine with whatever we eat. You decide. I'll eat anything you like."
Unaware of her surroundings, she responded.
Considering the young master's cleanliness and sensitive stomach, Shu Yi still considered in her mind which slightly more decent restaurants in the night market she would take Zhang Youye to.
...
Before being sent to the juvenile detention center, Zhang Youye had never even been to the night market in Jingnan.
One reason is family influence; their daily meals are prepared by a dedicated person.
On the other hand, although Zhang Youye loves to play, he only likes extreme sports such as racing and skydiving.
He always disliked night markets because they were too crowded and noisy, so he never went to such places with his friends.
Once the two were seated in the bustling restaurant, the smoky atmosphere and the noisy, chaotic environment around them did not cause him to show any unusual reaction.
Instead, he borrowed a pot of boiling water from the shop owner.
I carefully washed and heated the dishes for Shuyi.
Night markets are mostly open-air, and restaurants in night markets rarely have private rooms.
Watching Zhang Youye, a big guy, sitting obediently on a small stool in the corner of the restaurant, earnestly rinsing her cutlery, Shu Yi covered her mouth and chuckled.
"Just rinse your utensils a bit more, and you'll eat this with me. It's not too much trouble for you, is it?"
"How could that be?" After rinsing the tableware, Zhang Youye obediently began rinsing the water cups. "I've never been to a place like this before, so this is a new experience for me. But there are so many people. If I had known there would be this many people, I would have just booked the whole place."
After saying that, Zhang Youye bent down and picked up the wine bottle at his feet.
After searching for a long time without finding a bottle opener, I thought about asking the owner but felt it was too much trouble, so I pointed the bottle cap at the corner of the table.
With a forceful slap of the palm, the bottle cap fell off, and white foam suddenly gushed out of the bottle.
With the mindset of "when in Rome, do as the Romans do," and seeing that all the rough men around him were drinking straight from the bottle, Zhang Youye didn't bother to be picky.
The prince's noble status was no longer proper; he also aimed at the bottle opening, tilted his head back, and took a large gulp.
"If I had known you liked this place, I should have had Ah Chen bring me here back then. Maybe I could have run into you here."
After a refreshing beer, Zhang Youye turned his head to meet her gaze, a hint of alcohol gradually appearing in his eyes.
"Have you come here alone since Dad passed away?"
With one hand supporting her cheek, Shu Yi thought about it carefully.
"I used to come here often when I was in college, but after I started working, I rarely came because I didn't have time. During the time I was a resident singer at a bar, my days and nights were completely reversed."
As the two were talking, the chair of the guest at the next table once again pressed against Zhang Youye's back.
Frowning in annoyance, Zhang Youye turned to look.
