Chapter 33 Numb.33 Don't take it off.

Jie Ying returned, wearing a black short-sleeved shirt with a white letter M on the front.

He probably just came in, but I don't know how long he's been watching.

His gaze held a moment of surprise for a few seconds, then quickly turned to the shame of being caught, especially when he saw the teddy bear keychain in Xu Wu's hand. His face immediately turned red, the blush spreading up to his neck and staining his earlobes, like a shrimp thrown into boiling water.

"Um, that..."

Jie Ying stared longingly at the pendant in Xu Wu's hand. Her hand, hanging by her side, twitched as if she wanted to take a few steps toward her, but she restrained herself and dared not move rashly.

They were still watching.

Xu Wu subconsciously put her hands behind her back, hiding the pendant. Seeing Jian Ying staring at her blankly, she frowned impatiently: "Turn your head around."

These words sounded very unconvincing, and beneath the irritable tone lay a slight sense of guilt.

Jie Ying paused for a moment, her expression slightly hesitant, but instead of obeying Xu Wu's words as usual, she seemed to struggle for a moment before slowly walking towards Xu Wu.

"I'm sorry." His tone was gentle, and he quickly walked up to me. Even his calm voice couldn't hide his urgency: "Can...can you give me back the fog?"

He spoke sincerely, but Xu Wu frowned and took a step back warily: "No."

"But, but..." Jie Ying panicked, her tongue becoming even more slurred, stammering as she tried to say something.

“It was originally mine.” She gripped the small pendant tighter, squinting as she said, “Unless you tell me what you want it for?”

"I..." Jie Ying stammered, unable to utter a second word for a long time.

"Can...can I not say?" he whispered, softening his tone in an attempt to get Xu Wu to let him go.

"Then give it back to me!" Xu Wu glared at him.

"No! I, I..." Jie Ying's beautiful features were all scrunched up in her distress, and the mole on the corner of her mouth rose and fell with her slightly puffed-out cheeks as she unconsciously pouted.

Xu Wu stared intently at him, not daring to miss a single micro-expression. She had a premonition and could guess what Jie Ying was about to say. Her abnormally fast heartbeat made her grip the teddy bear keychain even tighter, her fingertips turning white from the force.

“I… took it… as fog…” His voice grew softer and softer as he spoke, the last word almost drowned out by the last syllable.

Even though everything was like this, Xu Wu still inexplicably caught it.

Rather than informing him, it was more like he was murmuring, a tender murmur, whenever he called Xu Wu's name.

His deep voice made every word he uttered seem captivating.

Xu Wu's chest suddenly felt hot, and her expression upon hearing this was—I knew it.

"Disgusting." She roughly threw the teddy bear keychain into Jie Ying's arms, glanced coldly at Jie Ying who was scrambling to catch it in surprise, and then turned and left.

Beneath the calm surface of the sponge lies a turbulent sea, poised to unleash towering waves.

Xu Wu, having narrowly escaped death, was grateful that her long hair could cover her reddened ears. That brief moment of eye contact with Jie Ying—only a second—

The spot on her neck where his thin lips had kissed her was throbbing slightly, as if all the blood in her body was rushing there, and even her cells were screaming with desire.

The blood vessels beneath her delicate skin were swollen to the point of bursting, so Xu Wu's gaze unconsciously lingered on Jie Ying's thin lips.

It was so soft, whether it landed on the back of her hand, her earlobe, or her neck.

Even as she watched those thin lips fall, her heart was not at peace; she even felt a frantic urge to rush forward.

-If it leaves a trace, if...

Do you want Jieying?

Does she want it?

She knew that Jieying wouldn't, and wouldn't allow, such a thing to happen.

But another voice, so faint as to be negligible, offered the opposite perspective.

Xu Wu admitted that she was not good at dealing with that kind of atmosphere, so she wanted to escape; she didn't want to face it.

She practically fled the bedroom, standing in the living room taking a few deep breaths, ignoring the vibrating phone clutched tightly in her hand.

I have absolutely no desire to reply.

Xu Wu silently wrapped her coat tighter around herself, and as she was about to return to her room, she inadvertently caught a glimpse of the clothes drying on the balcony.

The school uniform and everyday shirts were mixed with a set of women's clothing, which was fine, but what really caught people's attention was a pair of girls' underwear hanging on a clothes hanger. It was nearly pinkish-white with delicate lace trim.

It drifted lazily along with the prevailing wind.

In an instant, Xu Wu's steps seemed to be frozen in place. A chill, along with an utter sense of shame, surged from the soles of her feet to the top of her head. The impact of the scene made her dizzy and unsteady on her feet, and the rising temperature gave her the illusion of having a fever.

Jie Ying actually... actually dared to do it.

Xu Wu was furious and couldn't bear to think about what Jie Ying would do when she helped her wash her clothes.

What kind of obsessive, twisted expression would he have, holding it in his hand...?

Xu Wu suppressed her anger and slowly exhaled, wanting to just turn around and confront Jie Ying without a care in the world.

She wanted to kick him to the ground, grab his collar, and demand to know why he wouldn't listen to her. She had told him not to touch her clothes.

How disgusting, this outfit is ruined.

Xu Wu's face tightened.

"I'm so sorry..."

The sound that made her want to vomit rang out again unexpectedly behind her, tinged with a lukewarm tone.

Xu Wu turned her head warily, took several steps back, and warned him with her eyes not to come any closer. Her eyes, which scrutinized the person in front of her, were filled with undisguised disgust.

What's this? She really hates it when strangers touch her belongings, especially her private clothes.

When Jie Ying noticed that gaze, he paused for a moment. The words he was about to say were stuck in his throat, and he swallowed them back before they reached his mouth.

He unconsciously gripped the hem of his shirt, lowered his head to avoid Xu Wu's gaze, and his long bangs once again blocked his eyes. He didn't quite understand why Xu Wu was looking at him like that.

What do you want to say?

Xu Wu frowned, looked him up and down, and gave him a sharp and sarcastic comment.

How could someone so incredibly unsophisticated be allowed to get close to her? What does his loneliness and sadness have to do with her?

She finds this person so annoying.

If fate truly exists, then Xu Wu has an unprecedented desire for Jie Ying to disappear.

But Jieying didn't know what she was thinking. When she heard this, she carefully raised her eyes from her bangs as if she had mustered up her courage. Her tone was pleading and humble, but her eyes began to show a sinful look. All sorts of emotions were mixed together, filled with an undeniable sense of refusal: "I'm sorry, but could Wu... wear my clothes?"

"Just once." He took a step forward, his hot and aggressive possessive aura almost scalding Xu Wu.

Before Xu Wu could recover from her disbelief, she heard the man say slowly, "Don't take it off, okay... okay?"

"I bought the underwear." He smiled and said.

-ill.

Xu Wu took a step back in shock.

She took a step back, and Jieying followed suit.

Freesia and sea salt mingled haphazardly in the air, and soon, a restless heat began to climb up Xu Wu's tailbone.

The sharp, abusive words were suppressed by the tingling, itchy sensation, and the air conditioning gave her goosebumps.

- It should be refused.

At 11:50, Xu Wu left with a cold face. Just as the door was about to close, she glanced at Jie Ying, who was squatting on the ground feeding the little tabby cat, and held her breath.

She vented her anger on the door, slamming it shut with a bang.

The loud noise startled the little tabby cat lying on the ground enjoying the cool air. Just as it was about to look around, a warm hand gently pressed and stroked its head.

It blinked its green eyes at the boy in front of it, and then heard him laugh and say, "So cute."

The little tabby cat's eyes widened, startled by his smile. It suddenly broke free from his grasp, arched its back, and breathed on him, its hair standing on end.

Jieying didn't mind at all, and even reached out to rub its chin.

The tabby cat was alert. When it saw his hand reach out, it raised its paw and scratched the back of his hand hard.

Jie Ying gasped, hissing in pain. She didn't stop gripping him, and three scratches quickly appeared on the back of his fair hand, starting to bleed.

She's bleeding.

Jie Ying stared at it for a few seconds, then calmly took out her phone from her pocket, snapped a picture, and casually ruffled the little tabby's hair without holding a grudge.

"Stalker: [Photo]"

Xu Wu arrived at the mall just as she received the message. From afar, she saw Xia Ni standing inside Gate 1 waving at her, accompanied by two other girls.

Xia Ni was wearing a floral print mini-skirt that reached her knees, while the other two girls were dressed very differently.

Xu Wu, however, looked a little uneasy. Except for her shoes, all the clothes she was wearing were Jie Ying's.

The outfit Jieying gave her was more casual, but it wasn't her style. Also, the plaid shirt was a bit too big for her, so she had to tie the hem in a knot at her waist.

Xu Wu has a high waistline, long legs, and good body proportions.

This combination actually has a unique flavor.

Damn Jieying.

Xu Wu maliciously typed a few words on the screen.

Five: I'll scratch you to death!

The chat interface quickly displayed the message "typing..." Xu Wu pretended not to see it, turned off the screen, put her phone back in her pocket, and walked towards Xia Ni.

The midday sun was scorching, and Xu Wu walked very fast, only slowing down when his figure disappeared into the shadow of Gate No. 1.

"I thought you'd be late." Xia Ni smiled and affectionately stepped forward to take her hand, but Xu Wu subtly avoided her. She missed her target and awkwardly withdrew her hand.

"I'm not in the habit of being late." Xu Wu put on a warm smile, and there was nothing wrong with that.

As soon as he finished speaking, his phone started vibrating wildly in his pocket.
