Wang Yue and Li Ke'er were both excited in the room, waiting to see Chen Yu's expression tomorrow. She would definitely be very happy if she found out.

However, in her room, Chen Yu stared blankly at the photo album on her phone, which contained pictures of her, Chen Kang, and Li Ziyun. After Wu Yongmei's words today, the sadness in her heart became even heavier, and she missed the two deceased people even more.

"Mom and Dad, I miss you so much."

Her tears fell onto the phone, making a pattering sound.

She didn't sleep well all night. She felt like she dreamed about Chen Kang and Li Ziyun, but then again, she didn't. They had been gone for so long, and they had never come to see Chen Yu even once. Although she felt some blame in her heart, she felt more longing for them.

Li Ke'er and Wang Yue got up early in the morning and went to Chen Yu's room to pull her out of bed, insisting that they go to town to take a look. Huang Xiaoni was waiting at the door; she was in charge of driving today.

Although Chen Yu was tired and somewhat reluctant, she finally agreed. Thinking that they had come all this way, she figured they should go out and see the sights. She quickly changed her clothes and saw the three people waiting in the car.

"Aren't Shen Yan and Jiang Yang going?"

"What are those two grown men doing? It's a trip for us sisters!"

Huang Xiaoni patted the passenger seat, urging Chen Yu to get in the car quickly, as everyone was starving.

As soon as Jiang Yang saw the person leave, he immediately asked his secretary to drive the car over. The secretary hid the car on the other side of the farm and quickly unloaded the things from the car.

"Um, Mr. Jiang, when are you going back to the company?"

"What's wrong?"

"Something came up at the company... Let me know when you get back."

"Okay, you can go back now."

Jiang Yang waved his hand. He hadn't been interested in going to the company lately; his mind was entirely on Huang Xiaoni.

When Chen Legang learned that Shen Yan was going to propose to Chen Yu, he almost fainted. "You, aren't you siblings?!"

"You know he's not my biological uncle."

"I can't change that right away."

Although Chen Le said that, his actions betrayed him. He kept helping Shen Yan make arrangements, and he even said some things with a smile, telling Shen Yan that after marrying Chen Yu, he must have a few more children, and preferably send them to him to play every year.

Shen Yan chuckled helplessly, "Uncle, I'm not even sure I'm going to propose yet, and you're already talking about children."

Perfectly timed, she tugged at Li Ke'er's sleeve, "What do you think of that one?"

Li Ke'er followed her gaze and immediately gave her a thumbs up.

"Nini, Yuyu, come look at this!"

Wang Yue immediately called the two of them into the store, and Huang Xiaoni also agreed. When asked about the dress, she found it cost 389 yuan and bought it without hesitation.

The four of them walked around the streets, stopping and starting, while Huang Xiaoni waited for news from Jiang Yang.

Around 4 PM, a message finally came: everyone was tired from playing and taking a nap in the car.

Huang Xiaoni forced herself to stay awake and drove back to the farm. She almost fell asleep while driving, and only after patting her cheeks did she wake up. It was already past six o'clock when she got back, and it was dark.

When she got off the bus, Chen Yu saw the white balloons on the ground. Although she found it a little strange, she didn't think much of it. She was so tired that she just wanted to go back to her room and get some sleep.

As soon as the door opened, Jiang Yang suddenly jumped out, holding a celebratory cannon barrel in his hand.

Chen Le also had one, and everyone looked at Chen Yu excitedly.

Under her shocked gaze, they fired the salute.

"Are you guys out of your minds?"

Chen Yu stared in disbelief at herself covered in confetti. Already exhausted and in a bad mood, the shock to her ears intensified her irritability, and her words came out sounding angry.

Jiang Yang immediately became obedient.

Shen Yan came out from inside holding a bouquet of flowers, and the surrounding lights suddenly turned on.

He knelt on one knee in front of Chen Yu, holding a bouquet of flowers and a ring.

“Chen Yu, it hasn’t been easy for us to get here. I think it’s time for us to have a home of our own. I’m very grateful that you shared half of your home and your parents with me. Now, I want to give you a home.”

Chen Yu stood there stunned by Shen Yan's words. She had never expected Shen Yan to do something like this.

The people around them were egging Chen Yu on to agree.

Chen Yu stared silently at Shen Yan's face. She seemed unable to respond at the moment. She was still processing what Shen Yan had said and it was not yet in her mind.

Seeing that Chen Yu didn't speak, Shen Yan became anxious and almost stood up, but remembering that Chen Yu hadn't said anything, he remained kneeling on one knee.

"I was wrong before; I didn't understand my own heart. Now I do. Are you willing to give me a chance? I promise I'll treat you well and never let you suffer any injustice. I'll listen to whatever you say..."

Chen Yu looked at the man in front of her, but she didn't hear a word he said; she could only see his mouth opening and closing.

"Shen Yan, are you serious?"

When Chen Yu asked him this, Shen Yan nodded solemnly, "I'm serious, I don't want to lose you again."

The scene remained deadlocked for five minutes. The people behind Shen Yan were sweating bullets, wondering what the chances were of Chen Yu refusing, given that the two had been apart for a long time.
