Chen Yu, still in her pajamas, followed Chen Kang out the door to the place where she had previously gotten her phone card. She took out her ID card, checked it, and got a replacement. She inserted the card into her phone and logged into all her social media accounts, causing her phone to lag a bit due to the large number of messages.

Wang Yue's messages kept popping up. She knew about the two men who kidnapped Chen Yu yesterday and kept asking if Chen Yu was alright. She didn't mean to reveal where Chen Yu lived.

Chen Yu was somewhat disappointed in Wang Yue, as she hadn't expected Wang Yue to reveal her home address.

On the way home, Chen Kang noticed that Chen Yu was in a bad mood. As a grown man, he couldn't understand the thoughts of young girls these days, so he could only secretly send a message to Li Ziyun, asking her to ask Chen Yu when she got home.

Chen Kang took Chen Yu home and then went to the police station himself.

At the hospital.

Chen Le finished tidying up the box that Shen Yan had finished eating and was about to go out to throw away the trash when three women rushed in and headed straight for Shen Yan's bed.

"You must be Shen Yan, right? Everything's fine now, so hurry up and write a letter of forgiveness. My son is still so young."

"That's right, don't hurt my son."

"Boys should be stronger. What's a little scratch?"

“Sigh, kids these days are so precious. I heard from Jiang Yang’s mother that he’s Director Chen’s son.”

Chen Le listened to their chatter surrounding Shen Yan, and their words were simply unbearable to hear. He angrily walked up to them and stood in front of Shen Yan.

"If you can't speak properly, then get out. He needs to rest now."

"Hey, who are you? What makes you so arrogant, a caregiver?"

Caregiver...caregiver? Chen Le was stunned by the group of old women. Was this even human? He looked like a caregiver. The women were still shouting, making Chen Yan's ears hurt. He helplessly closed his eyes, not even wanting to see their faces.

The nurse heard the commotion and ran over.

"What are you doing? This is a hospital. If you keep shouting like this, I'll call security to kick you out."

Jiang Yang's mother heard the nurses' cursing as soon as she arrived. Her heart sank. She knew these people would do this, which was why she hadn't come with them. But she didn't expect to run into them anyway. She stood at the door without moving.

"Get out, all of you! I'm calling the police!" Chen Le shoved the women out fiercely.

"Go ahead and report it. We're not leaving today because we won't get a letter of understanding. Let's see who can hold out longer."

As expected, three women make a drama. Chen Le had no choice but to take action, fearing he would be extorted by them. So he took out his phone to call Chen Kang.

"Quick, Xiao Jie's mom, take his phone away, he's going to call the police."

It's unclear which woman saw Chen Le's actions, but all three of them pounced on him at the same time, knocking him to the ground. Shen Yan immediately pressed the call bell, and the nurses rushed over upon hearing the noise. They looked at Chen Le, who was pinned down by the three women, and wanted to laugh but didn't dare. Anyone who didn't know better would have thought that three women were fighting over one man.

Li Ziyun rushed over, carrying a lunchbox in her hand. She looked up and saw Jiang Yang's mother standing at the door. She was a friend who wasn't very close to her. "Lin Qi, did you come to see Chen Yan?"

"Ah, Ziyun... I know I shouldn't be here right now..."

Li Ziyun was at a loss for words. If the child hadn't been raised well, it must be related to his parents. However, Jiang Yang's parents were doing business overseas and rarely came to China. Making money was important, of course, and it was also to give their child a good life, but education was even more important.

While the two were still awkwardly at a loss for words, Chen Le was surrounded and beaten by three women. He ran out of the ward, and the women behind him were still shouting something about taking advantage of him. Li Ziyun looked at Chen Le in confusion.

"Sister-in-law, save me, sister-in-law!" Chen Le saw Li Ziyun as if she were his savior, and he quickly ran behind her.

"What's going on? What's happening?!"

When the three women saw Li Ziyun arrive, they immediately stopped waving their arms and stood firmly in front of her. "And who are you?"

"Who are you? Why are you hitting my brother?"

Xiao Jie's mother was quite observant and quickly noticed that Jiang Yang's mother was also there. She immediately went to Jiang Yang's mother's side and said, "Jiang Yang's mother, it's good that you're here too. Let's go together to get the letter of understanding. Don't give it to these two people. There's only that child in the room now."

Li Ziyun stared in shock at the woman next to Jiang Yang's mother. "Who asks for a letter of forgiveness like this? And the child is all alone inside!" This infuriated her. She pushed the woman aside, entered the room, and locked the door behind her.

"Hey, why did you lock the door?! Open it now!"

"Xiao Jun's mom, please stop making so much noise. This is a hospital."

"Jiang Yang's mother, what are you still pretending for? Isn't the letter of understanding important? Who are you trying to impress with your elegant act?"

Lin Qi was stunned. She hadn't expected these people to be so unreasonable. She had only meant well by reminding them, but what were they saying? She turned and left in her high heels. At worst, she would wait until Li Ziyun went home before going to look for her. She had more options than these women.

As Xiao Jun's mother watched her departing figure, all the goodwill she had for her vanished, and she looked at her as if she were an enemy.

The three women tried to knock on the door again, but the security guard beat them to it, saying, "This is a hospital, not a place for you to cause trouble!"

After the security guards finished speaking, they took the person away. Chen Le watched in the room, feeling relieved. His face was covered with scratches from the woman. He ran to the bathroom and carefully examined his cheeks. If Zi Ying saw this, he would be in deep trouble. Remembering that Zi Ying hadn't texted him for a day, Chen Le took out his phone to check.
