For a whole month, Xiao Xi hadn't come back since he left that day. Nan Yi was worried and decided to go back to the capital to check on him.

She never expected to see Xiao Xi in such a disheveled state.

When Nan arrived, the gate to the Luo family's courtyard was ajar, and a commotion could be heard from inside, including the faint sound of a woman pleading.
