Nan Yi, a modern female bodyguard, fails a mission and travels back three hundred years to the Qing Dynasty. At that time, she became the side consort of the Fourth Prince of the Qing Dynasty, but ...
Eighth Prince's Mansion
Recently, due to Emperor Kangxi's inspection tour to the border regions, he granted leave to the accompanying princes to handle their household affairs.
The Ninth Prince and the Tenth Prince had nothing to do, so they gathered at the Eighth Prince's residence and had a maid try out the food that Nan Yi had made last time. The group then drank together.
The Ninth Prince had already drunk a pot of Daughter's Red wine and wanted to pour more, but his Eighth Brother held his hand down.
"This is thirty-year-old Daughter's Red wine; you'll get drunk if you drink any more," the Eighth Prince gently advised.
The Ninth Prince brushed his hand away, picked up the wine pot, and drank directly from the spout. His face was bitter as he murmured, "It's better to be drunk. When I'm drunk, I won't think about her." He couldn't find her. Where was that girl hiding? The capital city was so small, yet she had vanished into thin air.
Upon hearing this, the Eighth Prince lowered his eyes, concealing his expression. "Perhaps something has happened. Didn't she say she would come to find us?"
They told her the address and also instructed the gatekeeper. They searched all over the city and surrounding areas, but there was no one named Nan Yi. They were afraid that this girl was hiding something from them.
"She's fine, humph, probably enjoying herself somewhere. With such good martial arts skills, she might be looking for us. But be careful," the Tenth Prince said angrily. She even said she would teach him martial arts, but she's nowhere to be seen. What a load of rubbish.
"Tenth Brother, what are you saying?" the Eighth Prince scolded in a low voice, this guy was just adding fuel to the fire. Sure enough, the Ninth Prince heard this and immediately grabbed another pot of wine and chugged it down.
Around 8 PM, Nan Yi was idly counting down the time when he heard a soft sound. Qing Yun walked in. "How is it?" Nan Yi asked anxiously.
Qingyun whispered, "Master, the master is at the Fujin's place and has already retired for the night."
"Alright, quickly close the courtyard gate and don't disturb the others. After I leave, you sleep on the kang (heated brick bed). Don't open the door for anyone who comes; just say you're resting."
Nan Yi put on dark clothes, smeared his face with soot, and pushed Qingyun onto the kang (a heated brick bed).
Qingyun was a little scared. "Master, is this alright? Besides, it's getting late, and if we get caught..." Before she could finish speaking, she was interrupted.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine. Just remember to open the door for me when the time comes. If you're scared, have Yiren accompany you," Nan Yi instructed.
"Master, please be careful," Qingyun said with a mournful face. He regretted his actions and thought that he should never have colluded with his master. If they were discovered, he would definitely be dead.
Nan looked at Qingyun's pitiful appearance and said, "Don't worry, I'll let Yiren take your place next time." This girl is really timid. Yiren is much better.
"No need, I'm fine." There will be a next time, and sooner or later the concubine will finish her off.
Nan patted her face and said, "I'm leaving. I'll let Yiren reward you tomorrow." After saying that, he pushed open the door, looked around to make sure there was no disturbance, glanced at Qingyun, and waited for Qingyun to lock the door before slipping into the night.
The Eighth Prince's mansion was too big; where could anyone be? There were houses everywhere, and she couldn't tell which way was which, so she wandered around aimlessly.
Nan Yi sneaked into the Eighth Prince's residence, but got lost. He wandered around aimlessly for half an hour without finding the person he was looking for. He had no choice but to go to a place with light, and then he saw the tall gate of the mansion.
She sighed and had no choice but to leave the Eighth Prince's residence. She thought of the Ninth Prince's residence, which was under curfew at the moment. Nan Yi had already learned the route to the Ninth Prince's residence from Qingyun.
This time, it didn't take long. Finding the Ninth Prince was effortless; she ran towards the brightest light, poked a hole in the gauze window, and there was no sound from inside.
Nan Yi quietly slipped inside.
The room was quite nicely decorated. Her eyes were immediately drawn to the antique display shelves filled with jade artifacts, which held all sorts of precious objects. One of them, a jade cabbage, caught her eye. It was even more captivating up close. What a rich man! No wonder she loved to rob him.
Several old paintings and calligraphies of unknown age also hung on both sides of the wall. I sighed and went forward to take a closer look, but alas, my knowledge was too limited, and I couldn't make any sense of them.
Nan Yi lifted the curtain on the right and saw four screens. She could vaguely see a carved bed and a figure inside through the gauze curtain. Nan Yi tiptoed forward and carefully lifted the bed curtain.
"Uh," she exclaimed in surprise, then her tense, dark face turned even darker with anger. She had gone to great lengths to find her, only to discover that she was enjoying herself with a beautiful woman.
The brocade quilt and clothes on the bed were in disarray. In the middle lay a naked man and woman. The man had an androgynous face, his fair and muscular chest was exposed, and his strong and capable arms were casually spread out on the bed.
He was fast asleep, a thin blanket draped around his waist, his lower body hidden beneath it. Lying on the bed was a woman with a slender and shapely figure, her black hair flowing freely. Bluish-purple and red marks were etched on her snow-white, perfect back, a sight to behold, suggesting the intensity of the battle that had just taken place.
Nan Yi felt like his head was steaming and his face was burning hot. He didn't know whether he was embarrassed or annoyed by the scene in front of him. Considering the situation, he wondered whether he should wake him up, since it was not easy for him to go out.
Perhaps due to the heavy resentment emanating from him, the Ninth Prince, who happened to be thirsty, nudged the woman beside him, wanting her to serve him water. The woman had been tormented by him so badly that she had fallen into a deep sleep and could not be woken up. The Ninth Prince had no choice but to get up.
He sat up with his eyes half-closed and found a dark shadow blocking his view. He pushed it away with his hand, but it was still there. He opened his eyes wide impatiently, waiting to see what it was.
"—Ah, woo woo..." The Ninth Prince thought it was an assassin and was so frightened that he raised his hand to fight back, but his mouth was covered and his hand was blocked.
"—Shh, be quiet, it's me, Nan Yi," she reminded him. This damned prince, he really ruined things because of his beauty.
"Mmm," the Ninth Prince nodded, making muffled sounds to indicate that he understood. Seeing that it was the person he had been thinking about, he looked at her with overwhelming joy. Nan Yi removed her hand from his mouth, still glaring at him angrily.
Having narrowly escaped death, Jiu A looked her up and down, and after confirming her identity, grinned and said, "How did you leave? It seems quite late."
He grabbed her delicate hand that was hanging by her side and held it tightly. He even tried to pull her to sit on the bed, completely disregarding how she had sneaked into his room and was now standing in front of his bed.
Nan Yi stood still, her pretty face long and drawn, and said indifferently, "What do you think?" Her eyes also darted in, and she saw the beautiful woman's body lying in a splendid manner. Judging from her appearance, she had quite good stamina.
