Chapter 74 A Simpleton

Su Wan looked at the heavy rain, lost in thought. Liu Shuang's house was nearby, so she could go back once the rain subsided.

But Su Wan's home is far away, so it won't be quick for her to get back.

Liu Shuang grinned and took Su Wan's hand: "Sister Su Wan, why don't you come to my house for the night and we can sleep together?"

Liu Shuang meant well, but encountering such heavy rain was unexpected.

Although they had an employer-employee relationship, they got along well.

As things stand, the only option seems to be to make do with staying at Liu Shuang's house for now.

Su Wan was a little embarrassed: "Won't this be too much trouble for you?"

Liu Shuang chuckled and said, "How could that be? My parents were praising you yesterday and telling me to learn from you."

That's the truth. When Liu Shuang's parents learned that Su Wan was young but had started her own wholesale business, they thought she must be a capable girl.

With Liu Shuang joining in, the family of three praised Su Wan as someone who should only exist in heaven, someone who could be seen only a few times on earth.

Seeing that the rain had lessened a bit, the two of them opened their umbrellas and left the market.

As they walked and talked, Liu Shuang, a chatterbox, asked Su Wan somewhat shyly yet expectantly, "Sister Su Wan, has that person come back?"

Su Wan smiled. Liu Shuang was asking about Lin Changchun.

"He should be back today..."

Liu Shuang shook Su Wan's arm shyly: "Then, Sister Su Wan, could you ask her for me when you have time...?"

This girl has really fallen for that kid Lin Changchun.

Otherwise, they wouldn't be so concerned.

The two were strolling in the rain, chatting happily, when a green jeep slowly drove up and rolled down its window.

"Wanwan."

Qin Yi's voice came through the sound of rain, low and deep, yet just enough to be heard clearly.

Su Wan looked at Qin Yi in surprise. Why was he here?

Liu Shuang whispered in Su Wan's ear, "Sister Su Wan, your brother-in-law treats you so well."

Okay?

This situation is probably a good one.

Now that Qin Yi has come to pick her up, Su Wan no longer needs to go to Liu Shuang's house.

She glanced at the heavy rain, then pulled Liu Shuang into the car with her.

"I'll have your brother-in-law give you a ride on his way."

Liu Shuang resisted, not wanting to disrupt their time together, "No, Sister Su Wan, my brother-in-law just got back, I won't bother you."

Su Wan smiled and said, "Let's go."

Qin Yi leaned out of the rear window: "Let's go, it's on the way."

Liu Shuang got into the passenger seat, and her face immediately turned red.

Lin Changchun was driving.

When Lin Changchun saw them coming up, he warmly asked Liu Shuang, "Where do you live?"

Liu Shuang gave an address, and Lin Changchun turned on the turn signal and drove towards the destination.

While maintaining a dignified and ladylike demeanor, Liu Shuang secretly glanced in Lin Changchun's direction.

From the moment Su Wan got into the car, Qin Yi thoughtfully dried the water off her body and then held Su Wan's small hands in his palm.

The two exchanged a glance, and everything was understood without a word.

Instantly becoming ladylike and dignified, Su Wan glanced at the now calm Liu Shuang and understood.

Su Wan gave Qin Yi a wink, and Qin Yi glanced at the two people in the front seat.

Weiwei nodded slightly to Su Wan.

Lin Changchun was very eager to confide in someone, asking, "Sister-in-law, didn't we arrive just in time?"

Su Wan glanced at Qin Yi: "Yes, just in time."

"Old Qin came to pick you up as soon as he finished his work report. You have no idea how eager he's been to get back these past few days..."

Once Lin Changchun started talking, it was like a floodgate opening, impossible to stop.

Perhaps it was because Liu Shuang kept glancing at Lin Changchun that he noticed her gaze, and Lin Changchun looked back at her.

Are you hot?

Liu Shuanghong's face stiffened visibly. "No, it's not hot."

Why is your face so red if you're not trying to be friendly?

Lin Changchun's eyebrows furrowed almost together, and he reached up to touch his forehead. "Do you have a fever?"

Su Wan sighed inwardly for Lin Changchun; she seemed to understand why Lin Changchun always failed at blind dates.

In such a confined space, she had no way to ask Lin Changchun if he had any feelings for Liu Shuang.

She was afraid that if Lin Changchun had no feelings for the girl and directly rejected her, Liu Shuang would be psychologically hurt.

But Lin Changchun is too honest.

Qin Yi asked calmly, "Have you finished writing your report?"

"ah?!"

Lin Changchun was taken aback. Why was he asking about a report?

Lin Changchun silently complained to himself.

Is this report being brought up now?

I saw you were too tired, so I came with you to pick up your wife.

What do you mean? Why do you have to ask me for a report now?

Qin Yi's words successfully prevented Lin Changchun from pressing Lin Changchun about whether Liu Shuang had a fever.

Fortunately, Liu Shuang's house was nearby, and Lin Changchun parked steadily at the entrance of Liu Shuang's alley.

Liu Shuang didn't look at Lin Changchun, and said softly, "Thank you."

Lin Changchun was troubled by the report: "It's not like I gave you a ride on purpose, it was just something I did on the way."

Su Wan looked at Liu Shuang, who was extremely embarrassed, and said, "See you tomorrow."

Liu Shuang tried to smile, but couldn't manage a smile. She said goodbye to Su Wan with a hint of disappointment, "Thank you, Sister Su Wan. Please be careful on your journey."

Lin Changchun stepped on the gas, and the car slowly moved forward.

On the way, Su Wan subtly asked Lin Changchun, "Changchun, what do you think of Liu Shuang?"

"ah?"

Lin Changchun glanced at the rearview mirror in surprise, not understanding why Su Wan suddenly asked such a question.

He scratched his head and said sheepishly, "The young lady is quite nice, very talkative. Why did you suddenly ask this, sister-in-law?"

Qin Yi felt that Lin Changchun was somewhat hopeless; it was rare to find someone as oblivious as him.

"Your sister-in-law wants to introduce Liu Shuang to Bai Yuan."

Lin Changchun was stunned for a moment, then slapped the steering wheel.

"Sister-in-law, that shameless man already has Jiang Yanyan, doesn't he?"
