Chapter 237 Call Me Brother

After Shi Miao went downstairs, her purpose was clear: she took Cheng Si directly to find Butler Shi.

It's impossible to get a taxi here; you can only go out by having your family driver take you.

After thinking about it, she decided to ask Butler Shi to go with her.

Shi Miao looked at the butler in front of her, who was dressed in a black suit, and said in a low voice, "Butler Shi, we need to go to a medical organization. Can you drive us there?"

Butler Shi nodded without asking any further questions. "Yes, Miss."

He could already guess what he was going to do just by hearing where they were going.

He knew about Shi Miao's relationship with Yun Yi, and Shi Miao must have already obtained the hair. Now, she must be going to the medical organization to ask Yun Yi to help with the paternity test.

For some reason, he started to feel anxious. What if the results showed that Cheng Si was indeed the illegitimate son of the Shi family?

The lady and the head of the family finally got back together. If the lady finds out about this, will everything go back to square one?

However, he was unsure of his young mistress's attitude and wondered if she would tell the madam about it.

Moreover, it seems that she has a good relationship with Cheng Si and doesn't seem to care that she might have an extra half-brother.

"Let's go, Butler Shi." Shi Miao was naturally unaware that Butler Shi's thoughts had wandered in just a few seconds, and he had thought about so many things. He squeezed the sealed bag containing the hair in his pocket and walked towards the door first.

"Yes." Butler Shi composed himself and quickly followed.

An hour later, the car slowly came to a stop in front of the medical organization building.

Yun Yi had already come down and was waiting in the lobby.

He looked out through the floor-to-ceiling window and saw a car parked in front of the door. At the same time, the car door opened and a very familiar figure got out.

His eyes brightened a bit, and he stepped outside, looking at the girl in front of him with a smile in his voice: "Pretty fast, huh?"

Shi Miao nodded slightly. "Mm."

Yun Yi naturally recognized Butler Shi, but the other one looked somewhat unfamiliar.

When his eyes met Yun Yi's, he was slightly taken aback. Those amber eyes gave him a sense of déjà vu. "And who is this?"

Shi Miao turned her head and glanced at the young man standing behind her. "My friend, Cheng Si."

He then introduced Cheng Si, "This is the president of an international medical organization. You can call him President Yun."

Cheng Si took two steps forward and greeted Yun Yi, "Dean Yun, hello."

"Hello." Yun Yi smiled, not dwelling on it too much, and looked back at Shi Miao, asking, "What brings you here today?"

Shi Miao raised her hand to press down the brim of her hat and said calmly, "Let's go inside and talk about it."

Yun Yi nodded, "Okay."

A few minutes later, the group arrived at Yun Yi's office.

Shi Miao took out two sealed bags containing hair from her pocket and handed them to him, saying succinctly, "Help me do a DNA test."

Yun Yi glanced at the name marked on it, her eyes filled with deep surprise, and she was a little confused for a moment.

She glanced at Cheng Si standing to the side out of the corner of her eye, then looked up at Shi Miao and said incredulously, "What... what's going on with you?"

Shi Miao's expression remained calm, and she didn't offer much explanation, selectively ignoring the questioning look he gave her. "When can we expect the results as soon as possible?"

Yunyi picked up the bag. "Tomorrow, I'll send you the electronic version first."

Shi Miao put her hands back into her pockets and said lazily, "Okay, then we'll be going now."

"Ah, okay." Yun Yi couldn't help but steal a few more glances at Cheng Si, and this time she really remembered where that familiar feeling downstairs came from.

*

The next morning.

Perhaps it was the sudden change of environment, or perhaps it was the test results on her mind, but Shi Miao woke up earlier than usual.

She slowly sat up, leaned against the headboard, reached for her phone which was charging on the bedside table, and unplugged the charger.

I unlocked my phone, opened WeChat, replied to the message above, and then got out of bed.

When she came out of the bathroom after washing up, her phone, which was lying on the bed, suddenly rang.

Shi Miao's eyes flickered slightly, and she had a strong premonition that the message must have come from Yun Yi.

She pursed her lips, bent down to pick up her phone, and glanced at the message notification on the screen. Sure enough, it was an email from Yun Yi.

Shi Miao tapped the screen lightly, hesitated for a few seconds, and then opened the electronic DNA identification report sent by Yun Yi.

She swiped her phone screen rapidly, scrolling straight to the last line.

Based on existing data and DNA analysis results, it is supported that Shi Jing is Cheng Si's biological father.

Shi Miao's delicate and striking face showed little emotional fluctuation, as if it were expected.

She took a screenshot of the test results and sent it directly to Cheng Si.

Shi Miao pressed her temples, feeling conflicted about whether to tell Shi Jing and Gu Wanqing about it now.

Although she doesn't mind suddenly having a half-brother, they might not be able to accept it.

Just then, my phone rang again.

Shi Miao composed herself, looked down at her phone screen, and was somewhat surprised that Cheng Si had also woken up so early.

Call me "brother" and let me hear it.

Shi Miao's eyelids twitched. Was this guy so carefree? Not only was he not surprised at all, but he also quickly put himself in the situation.

She didn't reply to him, turned off her phone, picked up her coat and put it on, then left the room.

When Shi Miao arrived at the lobby downstairs, she saw the somewhat uneasy Butler Shi. "Good morning, Butler Shi."

The butler snapped out of his daze, a hint of nervousness flashing in his eyes. He lowered his voice and asked, "Miss, have the report results come out yet?"

Shi Miao gave a faint "hmm" and then walked to the sofa and sat down.

After a few seconds of silence, the butler asked, "Is that...?"

Shi Miao raised her eyes to look at him, her red lips parted slightly, "Yes."

Butler Shi's expression changed slightly, and he subconsciously frowned. He hadn't expected that his worst fear would come true. "Young Miss, are you planning to tell the head of the family?"

He paused for a moment, then continued, "What did Cheng Si say?"

Shi Miao leaned back slightly against the sofa, her dark eyelashes drooping. After thinking for a moment, she said, "Cheng Si didn't say anything. As for my parents, let's keep it a secret for now."

Butler Shi nodded, knowing in his heart that the best course of action was indeed to remain silent. "Okay, I understand."

No sooner had he finished speaking than Cheng Si's nonchalant voice drifted from behind him, "Why didn't you bring me to this little meeting?"

Upon hearing this, Shi Miao turned her head to look behind her, her brows furrowing almost imperceptibly. "Why did you come down without sunglasses?"

"I forgot." Cheng Si walked over with his hands in his pockets, sat on the armrest of the sofa, and said nonchalantly, "Anyway, it's so early, Mom and Dad probably won't be here."

Shi Miao raised an eyebrow slightly, "You adapted quite quickly."

They've already changed their tune so quickly.

Cheng Si shrugged, a smile playing on his lips. "What's the big deal?"
