In her past life, Ji Xiaoxiao was a part-time assassin and a full-time shut-in. One day, with god-like skill, she was run over by a car and inexplicably transmigrated. After transmigrating, everyth...
The park is adorned with clusters of flowers and lush green grass, with straight avenues running in all directions.
Most of the residents living near the park are either wealthy or influential, with plenty of spare cash. Ji Xiaoxiao, wearing sunglasses and walking her husky, seems to be wasting her life, seemingly beyond redemption. But to the people in the park, she's just a high-achieving career woman taking a break between classes.
"Woof woof woof..."
The husky barked happily and ran off on its four long legs. If Ji Xiaoxiao didn't secretly use her lightness skill, she would probably be left behind by her husky.
Squeezing and squeezing, the husky successfully squeezed into the crowd.
"Hey, whose dog is that?"
"Ah, so cute, honey, I want to have one too."
"Don't touch me, you dirty dog."
It was just a dog, but the commotion it caused was more exciting than a death.
Ji Xiaoxiao followed closely behind the husky and found an old man lying in the crowd. The old man was clutching his chest, covered in cold sweat, his lips were white, and he was groaning involuntarily.
"This is a sudden heart attack."
Ji Xiaoxiao looked around, but no one offered to help.
He's killed too many people in this life, so helping him out will be a good deed.
Ignoring the advice of others, Ji Xiaoxiao squatted down, pressed several acupoints on the old man, and channeled her internal energy into him. The old man groggily opened his eyes and woke up.
"Woof woof woof." The husky wagged its tail wildly.
"Grandpa, are you alright?" Ji Xiaoxiao asked with concern.
The old man was aware of his physical condition, and he was able to survive this ordeal thanks to his savior.
The old man coughed and said, "It's nothing, thank you, daughter."
Ji Xiaoxiao waved her hand and walked away with the husky.
Three days later, Ji Xiaoxiao encountered the old man again. Unlike before, the old man was accompanied by a caregiver.
"Grandpa, what a coincidence," Ji Xiaoxiao greeted.
For the next month, Ji Xiaoxiao and the old man kept running into each other and gradually became acquainted.
"Xiaowen, the other day you just gave me a little treatment and my illness was almost cured. May I ask if you can cure my illness completely?"
Ji Xiaoxiao was his lifeline, and the old man was filled with hope.
"It's possible, but it's quite troublesome. I'll need to take care of you personally for almost a year. As time goes by, I'll need to constantly modify the treatment plan according to your different physical conditions in order to gradually cure your illness," Ji Xiaoxiao gave a candid answer.
The treatment period has lasted nearly a year?
After thinking for a moment, the old man said goodbye to Ji Xiaoxiao.
Ji Xiaoxiao waved her hand, calling back the husky Mao Mao, and the two of them went home.
I opened the door, untied the dog's leash, and Mao Mao dashed off, leaping onto the sofa and barking a few times, "Human, where's my dog food?"
"Yes, yes, yes." Ji Xiaoxiao took out a can of dog food, poured it into Mao Mao's special dog bowl, and personally carried it over to Mao Mao's mouth.
"Woof woof." Mao Mao praised Ji Xiaoxiao and lay down to eat leisurely.
Ji Xiaoxiao sat down, idly smoothing her soft fur.
"It's almost done!"
After months of hard work, we're finally about to succeed.
The old man's name was Gu Guo, and he appeared kind and approachable. In his youth, however, he was a renowned figure, known as the "Devil's Nightmare." More importantly, Gu Guo was the grandfather of Gu Jing, the current president of country Z, and a former general.
Ji Xiaoxiao went to great lengths to move here because, while she was robbing the rich to help the poor, she overheard the owners mentioning that Gu Guo was recuperating here.
With Jin Daoba and Jin Yahui missing, Ji Xiaoxiao needs external assistance to find them in the vast sea of people. The Gu family, holding high positions and wielding immense power in Z country, is the best choice to help her.
Gu Guo had been on the battlefield in his youth and suffered numerous injuries, both major and minor. As he grew old and frail, his resistance weakened. When his illness flared up, Gu Guo was in excruciating pain and nearly committed suicide.
Most doctors were at a loss as to how to treat Gu Guo's illness, but Ji Xiaoxiao was different. She possessed a photographic memory, was proficient in medicine, and could easily bring the dead back to life. After briefly examining Gu Guo's body that day, Ji Xiaoxiao became even more convinced of her bargaining power.
The next morning, the doorbell rang shrilly.
"Who is it?" Ji Xiaoxiao asked, glancing sideways at the clock on the wall. It was six in the morning; she had arrived quite early.
"Are you Miss Xuanwen?" the man in black asked respectfully.
As Ji Xiaoxiao nodded, her dog Mao Mao squeezed over.
"Woof woof woof." Stranger, what do you want to do to my human?
Ji Xiaoxiao ruffled Mao Mao's hair and asked, "Who are you? What do you want with me?"
The man in black answered Ji Xiaoxiao's questions one by one.
"Did Old Master Gu send you?"
"Yes." The man in black explained the reason: at four o'clock in the morning, Gu Guo had fallen ill and needed her excellent medical skills.
"Please wait a moment, let me change my clothes."
Ji Xiaoxiao was still asleep, and the man in black waited patiently for a while.
The door closed, then opened, and Ji Xiaoxiao led Mao Mao into the man in black's car. The car sped along and stopped in front of a large villa.
The man in black produced his identification, the iron gate opened, and the car started moving again.
Five minutes later, the man in black brought Ji Xiaoxiao to Gu Guo's room.
"You must be Miss Xuanwen. You must save my father." The speaker was a woman around fifty years old, presumably Gu Guo's daughter-in-law.
"I will, madam. Please leave. Old Master Gu's illness is too serious; I need an absolutely quiet environment."
The woman, still charming and alluring, hesitated for a long time before finally agreeing to Ji Xiaoxiao's request.
