Asuma wanted to show off his masculinity in front of Kurenai; he had even started fantasizing about the admiring look in Kurenai's eyes after he defeated Hyuga Kaze.

"Asuma, we've been training all afternoon and we're exhausted. Let's postpone the match until next time!"

Before Hyuga Kaze could speak, Kurenai refused first. She wasn't worried about Hyuga Kaze's strength, but she was afraid that Hyuga Kaze would misunderstand.

Hyuga Kaze was swift and sharp-eyed, dodging the windball the instant it flew out and rushing towards Asuma.

The gust of wind swept past Hyuga Kaze by a meter, whistling as it flew forty or fifty meters before disappearing.

Asuma felt a sudden darkness before his eyes and difficulty circulating his chakra. He barely managed to regain his senses and used the Body Flicker Technique to retreat, only to find that Hyuga Kaze was still connected to him as he retreated.
