Chapter Twenty-Nine: No Right to Cry

The soldier took the certificate, checked it carefully for a moment, then glanced at the people in the car and nodded. "Understood. You can go in now, but you need to get out of the car. We will take you to the designated place."

Ji Tiehan nodded and turned to signal everyone to get out of the car.

After confirming that everyone in the vehicle had disembarked, the soldier took a step back, then made a hand gesture towards the gate. With a series of clicks, the massive iron gate slowly opened.

What a magnificent sight! Looking at the impeccably fortified city wall before her, Ji Yueyao was filled with curiosity. After all, the gate in front of her was twice the size of the Xiyu base! Moreover, the defenses that had been built in front of her gave off a sense of solemnity at all times. Just standing here made her feel a heavy pressure.

The car was slowly driven into the city by the military. Ji Yueyao glanced around, then strode in with the group. It felt so good to have her feet on the ground; she hadn't been bored to death from being in the car for the past two days.

The group entered the military base, and none of them noticed a man looking down at them from the high gate, his gaze filled with a disdainful air.

"Boss, the people from Xiyu Base have arrived. Now we only need the people from Donglin Base." Zhen Anhua walked up, bowed to Mu Yanxuan, and then glanced at the people below.

"How are the people we arranged?" Mu Yanxuan stood there casually, yet still gave off an unapproachable feeling. Looking at the endless yellow sand in front of him, he crossed his arms and leaned against the side.

“The candidates for this competition have already been arranged. Wang Jun and Zhao Tianying are our people, while Cao Congyuan and Yan Yu are Qin Lichang’s people.” Zhen Anhua lowered his head, his face still expressionless.

"Just let Zhao Tianying win." Mu Yanxuan narrowed his eyes dangerously and turned to walk downstairs.
