The Scrawny Girl of the Seventies Marries a Rough Man and is Doted On

With her eyes open, she was faced with a mud-brick house and a strong, rough man. Xia Lan was bewildered.

She discovered she had actually returned to the 1970s, becoming an orphan who had jus...

Chapter 68 An Honest Man's Skin, a Wolf's Heart

It's already 1977. Xia Lan remembers that the end of 1977 was the day the college entrance examination was reinstated, and these professors would be exonerated and return to the university.

Xia Lan felt it would be such a pity if something happened to him at this crucial moment, since he was about to be exonerated.

He's endured so many years, and he was just so close, just a tiny bit more...

"This is already considered good!" Qin Yu glanced at Xia Lan, confirming once again that she was not the original Xia Lan.

Because there are also such intellectuals in Xiahe Village, and they are treated even worse than Old Du.

Because of Xu Fulin's intervention, Old Du was simply thrown into this unknown corner of Shanghe Village, and he was not harshly criticized, unlike in Xiahe Village, where he was criticized from time to time.

"You want to help him?" Qin Yu asked, looking at the turbulent emotions in Xia Lan's eyes.

“I think so,” Xia Lan nodded emphatically. “He shouldn’t be treated like this.”

“My mother said they are all good people, they were all framed.” Xia Lan glanced at Qin Yu, using her mother as a shield.

A smile flashed in Qin Yu's eyes. "I'll ask Uncle Xu and see if he has any way to help us secretly."

"Mm." Xia Lan's eyes lit up. "Thank you, Brother Yu."

"How will you thank me?" Qin Yu looked at Xia Lan with a deep gaze. Xia Lan blushed with embarrassment at Qin Yu's implication, shook off Qin Yu's hand, and turned to run away.

...

Looking at Xia Lan, who had already run far away, Qin Yu felt both annoyed and amused.

escape?

Can she escape?

When Xia Lan ran home, Aunt Liu saw her and, feeling guilty, turned around and went back into the house.

Xia Lan watched Aunt Liu's retreating figure and sighed softly.

"Hey!" Just as she was about to go back to her room, someone called her from behind.

Xia Lan was stunned for a moment, and when she turned around, she saw a boy of about fourteen or fifteen years old standing at the gate calling her.

"You called me?" Xia Lan looked at the young man, whose eyes held a hint of contempt as he glanced at her.

"Where's my brother?" the boy asked Xia Lan coldly.

"Who is your brother?" Xia Lan thought of the answer, but she just didn't want him to have his way.

"My brother is Qin Yu!" the boy rolled his eyes and said impatiently.

"Oh, he's not here." Xia Lan rolled her eyes back at him and turned to go inside.

"Hey! Give me ten yuan." The boy pursed his lips and ordered Xia Lan.

"Who are you? I'm going to give you money!" Xia Lan scoffed, turning to look at the young man.

She doesn't look like Qin Yu at all; she's a carbon copy of Qin's mother, with a pointed mouth and monkey-like cheeks, except her skin is a bit more delicate. It's obvious she hasn't done much housework.

"My name is Qin Ming, so tell me who I am!" Qin Ming glared at Xia Lan, he had never seen such a stupid woman.

"And then what?" Xia Lan wasn't going to indulge him.

"You have hands and feet, why don't you go work and earn money, instead of begging from me?"

“He’s my brother. My mom said all his money is mine,” Qin Ming said angrily. “This money is mine to begin with. Give it back to me.”

"Ask your mother for money! Why are you asking Qin Yu? He's not the one who gave birth to you! Go find whoever gave birth to you!" Xia Lan laughed in anger, looking at Qin Ming. "You don't look stupid, do you? How come your brain is full of shit?"

"Just because something is rightfully yours doesn't mean it's yours. You're ugly, but you have a big heart." Xia Lan walked up to Qin Ming and looked him up and down.

"Who do you think you are? You're just a jinx who's clinging to my brother to marry you. What right do you have to insult me?" Qin Ming said angrily.

"And who do you think you are? Coming up to me asking for money?" Xia Lan said lazily, glancing at him.

"That's my brother, we're blood brothers, and he spoils me the most," Qin Ming roared, glancing at Xia Lan.

Shake your head and listen for the sound of water.

"Your mother bound your feet, but you bound your head, didn't you?"

"When you need him, Brother Yu is your brother; when you don't, you call him a freeloader who wastes the family's food. How can your family be so shameless? You're all just taking advantage of Qin Yu?"

Xia Lan got angry just looking at the boy in front of her. His self-righteous attitude, as if everything Qin Yu owned was his.

Qin Yu's money is also his; listen to that, how can he be so shameless?

"Mind your own business! My brother will definitely give it to me!" Qin Ming glared at Xia Lan. "If you don't give me the ten yuan, I'll tell my mom and she'll come and deal with you."

"Fine, then have your mom come and deal with me. I'll wait here!" Xia Lan rolled her eyes at Qin Ming. "Go and have your mom come over right now. I'll also go and invite the village chief over. Your family is so shameless. I need to ask the village chief if there's any medicine that can cure you."

"This guy's got some serious planning going on, isn't he?" Xia Lan shoved Qin Ming out the door and slammed it shut.

"You jinx, open the door!" Qin Ming was pushed by Xia Lan and stumbled, falling flat on his face.

"Get out of here, or I'll hit you with a broom," Xia Lan said coldly.

Qin Ming gritted his teeth, his face flushed with anger, and ran home.

After Qin Ming left, Qin Yu emerged from behind the tree, gave Qin Ming's retreating figure a cold glance, and then turned to head towards Xu Fulin's house.

Xia Lan looked at the old, tattered quilt at home and wondered if she could send it to Old Master Du so that she and Qin Yu could use her new quilt.

A moment later, Qin's mother's voice rang out from outside the door.

"You little bitch, how dare you push my son? Get out here!" Qin's mother's sharp voice rang out from outside the door. Fortunately, Xia Lan had closed the door in advance, and Qin's mother was stopped outside and unable to force her way in.
