Chapter 287: The Mystery of the Secret Passage

Li Fan and Zhang Ming exchanged glances, each sensing confusion. They didn't know who this man was, or what he was talking about. But it was clear that this man knew some secret they didn't.

"What are you talking about?" Li Fan tried to ask calmly, but his voice trembled involuntarily.

The man smiled, and that smile made Li Fan and Zhang Ming feel nervous. They felt that the man's mental state seemed very unstable.

"You're here to uncover the secrets of the old hospital, aren't you?" The man's voice was calm, but his eyes were frantic. "Well, you should know there's a secret passage hidden here."

A secret passage? Li Fan and Zhang Ming looked at each other. They had indeed heard someone mention the possibility of a secret passage beneath the hospital during their exploration, but they had never found any concrete evidence.

"Do you know the location of the secret passage?" Zhang Ming asked, trying to calm the man down.

The man nodded, then turned and walked to the other side of the basement. He stopped in front of a seemingly ordinary wall where a tattered painting hung. The man reached out and groped behind the painting. Suddenly, the frame slowly moved, revealing a hidden compartment.
