Chapter 66: The Secret of the Old Hospital 4

Jack dragged his exhausted body along the winding path. As night fell, he could faintly hear bursts of eerie laughter in the darkness, as if calling from another world. He shuddered and quickened his pace.

Finally, he arrived at a long-abandoned hospital. Once a thriving medical institution, it had fallen into disrepair over time, becoming known as a haunted house. However, Jack knew it held a terrifying secret, the clue he had been searching for.

The hospital door was half-open, as if inviting him in. Jack pushed it open cautiously, a chilly air blowing in his face. He lit the flashlight, the dim light flickering in the darkness.

The hospital corridor seemed unusually gloomy, and the moldy portraits hanging on the walls seemed to be watching him in secret. Jack felt a chill, but he did not retreat, but instead became more determined to continue his exploration.

He checked each room one by one, but found nothing. Until he came to a locked room, he felt that it was filled with an unusual smell. He used all his strength to pry open the lock of the room, pushed open the door, and found a yellowed notebook.

The notebook records a conversation between a doctor and a patient, in which the patient mentions a mysterious organization and the illegal experiments they conducted. Jack's heart is shocked, and he realizes that this is the clue he has been looking for.

He continued flipping through his notebook when he suddenly heard hurried footsteps. He immediately dodged to the side, only to see a group of people in black cloaks enter the room. They seemed to be searching for something, and Jack, fearing he would be discovered, quietly left the room.

While leaving the hospital, Jack discovered a hidden basement and decided to sneak into it to continue exploring the secrets hidden there.

The air in the basement was filled with a foul odor. Jack resisted the urge to vomit and moved forward cautiously. The walls of the basement were covered with strange symbols that seemed to be related to the mysterious organization.

Suddenly, he discovered a painting. The figure in the painting had a ferocious expression and was surrounded by a strange light. Jack carefully observed the painting. Suddenly, the figure in the painting seemed to move. He took a step back nervously, but found that his foot had tripped over a hidden mechanism.

With a loud bang, the wall of the basement slowly opened, revealing a long and narrow passage. Jack followed the passage without hesitation and came to a mysterious laboratory.

The laboratory is filled with various experimental instruments and the walls are covered with research notes. Jack discovered that the laboratory was conducting a study on human potential and they were trying to obtain supernatural powers through illegal experiments.

However, the side effects of the experiment led to the madness and death of the patients. Jack realized that this mysterious organization was using innocent people for evil experiments, and he decided to expose this organization thoroughly.

While leaving the lab, Jack accidentally found an unsent letter, which revealed a shocking secret: the leader of this mysterious organization was none other than the father Jack had been looking for.

Jack was angry and disappointed, so he decided to find the leader of the organization and ask him why he was conducting such evil experiments. He vowed to expose the crimes of the organization and seek justice for the victims.
