Counterattack

Shen Yi'an's villa was quiet, filled with an anxious atmosphere of waiting.

In the living room, the two people and the bird each occupied a sofa. Yun Chen was looking at various legal clauses, Shen Yi'an seemed to be looking at his phone but was actually restless, while the crow was idly preening its feathers.

But they all had one thing in common: their worried gazes would occasionally drift toward the door.

After Yun Jin realized that she couldn't punish Qin Yi through legal means, she was depressed for a few days, but she quickly cheered up and spent several days and nights with Qi Qi monitoring Qin Yi's every move.

Shen Yi'an glanced at the time again, finally breaking the silence, "They've been gone all morning, haven't they? They should be back by now..."

"Hmm...it's been a bit long today," Yun Chen looked up from his legal documents and gazed out the window. "Why don't you go check on things, Crow?"

The crow nodded, cawed, and flew away through the open window.

Not long after, there was a commotion at the door.

Qi Qi came out first, followed by Yun Jin, who was almost exhausted. She was dragged in by Qi Qi in a limp, "cat-like" state.

"Yun Jin! Are you alright?" This sight startled Shen Yi'an. He immediately got up, rushed forward, picked up Yun Jin, and placed her on the sofa.

Yun Jin slumped on the sofa, too weak even to lift her paws, but she still shakily gave everyone a thumbs up, "Don't worry... my stamina has improved a lot today..."

Qiqi added from the side, "I can testify that Yun Jin worked exceptionally hard during today's tracking. She ran the entire way herself, but she was too exhausted to come back."

"Quick, drink some water and eat something to replenish your energy." Yun Chen brought over water and biscuits.

After wolfing down her food, Yun Jin regained her energy. The space around her slightly distorted, her figure lengthened, and she transformed back into human form.

Although his face looked tired, his eyes were unusually bright, with a burning light.

“These past few days, I’ve been keeping an eye on things and thinking things through, and then I had a bold idea,” Yun Jin cleared her throat, sat up straight, and glanced at everyone present.

After these dark and inflammatory remarks were made, the living room became even quieter.

Everyone looked at each other in shock, and the crow even fell from mid-air.

The next afternoon, the sunlight slanted onto the roof of the villa. Yun Jin and Crow, as planned, lay in ambush under the windowsill, holding their breath.

They heard Qin Yi and Zhang Shuo talking faintly from inside the room. Yun Jin and Crow exchanged a glance, and Crow immediately understood. It flapped its wings silently and flew away to announce the start of the operation.

Before long, a series of rapid and loud knocks sounded at the door. Standing in front of the door were Xie Xinrou with a cold expression and Qi Qi, who was tall and strong and had transformed into human form.

"Zhang Shuo! You bastard! Get out here!" Xie Xinrou shouted without any politeness, her anger so intense that Qi Qi, who was disguised as a bodyguard, shrank back in fear.

A flurry of hurried footsteps immediately filled the room. Zhang Shuo practically ran to open the door, followed by a bewildered Qin Yi, who rubbed her eyes and mumbled, "Who...who is it? Why are you in such a hurry?"

As soon as Zhang Shuo opened the door a crack, Xie Xinrou, without saying a word, slammed her bag into Zhang Shuo's face, making him see stars.

"Zhang Shuo, you really know how to find a quiet place to hide! Where are you trying to reach for your hands?" Xie Xinrou launched into a tirade, "So that's why you suddenly got interested in that show, it's because your new love interest is in it!"

When she saw Qin Yi, who looked completely innocent, behind Zhang Shuo, she became even angrier. She kicked a cardboard box that flew far away and landed precisely on the windowsill where Yun Jin was hiding.

Yun Jin, standing by the window, almost felt her heart stop. She quickly and nimbly dodged to the side, wiping the cold sweat from her forehead.

That was close, I almost got hit.

In the living room, Zhang Shuo saw Xie Xinrou. He was initially guilty for being caught red-handed, then felt extremely embarrassed in front of Qin Yi and Xie Xinrou's scolding and beating. Finally, he became angry and instinctively tried to push Xie Xinrou.

Standing at the door, Qi Qi suddenly stepped forward, her tall figure like a wall, and shoved Zhang Shuo aside! Qi Qi said in a vicious low voice, "What do you want to do?"

Considering that Zhang Shuo was capable of violence, Yun Jin specifically arranged for Qi Qi to accompany Xie Xinrou as her bodyguard.

"You, you crazy woman, you've been drinking again and come here to cause trouble!" Zhang Shuo's face turned red with anger, but seeing that Qi Qi was not someone to be trifled with, he could only yell a few curses at the top of his lungs, and he didn't dare to make a move.

"Don't give me that! You bastard!" Xie Xin wasn't buying it at all, his anger escalating. He grabbed a cup and smashed it on the ground! Porcelain shards flew everywhere.

"I really believed your lies before," Xie Xinrou pointed at Zhang Shuo's nose and cursed, "You were making promises to me yesterday, and today you can't wait to find your new lover, it's disgusting!"

"Who exactly are you?" Qin Yi stood in front of Zhang Shuo, her voice trembling slightly, but she still tried to hold on. "Don't think you're so great just because you have a bodyguard... Be careful, or I might call the police."

"This is none of your business, get out of the way." Zhang Shuo pushed her aside.

"Zhang Shuo, you're really something," Xie Xinrou picked up her bag and sneered. "Anyway, Xiao Hua has gone abroad now, and I don't want to get entangled with you anymore. How about this, we'll see each other on the trending topics tomorrow."

Upon hearing the words "trending topic," Zhang Shuo's attitude changed drastically. He immediately stepped forward with a fawning smile and said, "She seduced me first! I bought this house because I felt sorry for her because she's disabled, so she would have a place to live."

Xie Xinrou ignored him and just wandered around the living room. Zhang Shuo followed behind her like a dog wagging its tail: "Really, she's disabled. I originally wanted to help her, but she just kept pestering me like that, and I couldn't do anything about it..."

Qin Yi slumped to the ground, her face pale and filled with disbelief.

“Do you think I would be interested in a disabled person? Look, if this gets out, people will say I’m bullying a disabled person!” Zhang Shuo became more and more agitated as he spoke. “Really, if you don’t believe me, I’ll show you. She’s wearing a hearing aid in her left ear.”

As Zhang Shuo spoke, he suddenly rushed towards Qin Yi, ignoring her struggles, and ripped off her hearing aid with brute force.

The white hearing aid was displayed to Xie Xinrou in his hands like a trophy: "See, I didn't lie to you!"

Yun Jin swallowed hard, inwardly cursing Zhang Shuo as a truly despicable person!

Xie Xinrou said without even looking at him, "Zhang Shuo, you're disgusting. All you do is bully disabled people, is that it?"

"No matter what you say, it's useless. You're finished, I'm telling you!"

She left after saying that, and Zhang Shuo hurriedly chased after her.

Yun Jin quickly gave Qi Qi a wink, signaling him to hurry up and follow, lest Zhang Shuo make a move.

Qiqi nodded and quickly caught up.

The messy living room gradually quieted down. The white hearing aid was thrown aside, leaving only Qin Yi's soft sobs.

Just then, Yun Jin leaped onto the sofa in front of her and looked down at her.

Qin Yi was still crying with her head down, unaware of what was happening to her.

Yun Jin looked at her for a few seconds, then lowered her head and carefully picked up the hearing aid and placed it next to her.

"Thank you... Zhang..."

Qin Yi was initially grateful, but when she looked up and saw that the person was a cat, all her gratitude turned into terror. She screamed as if she had seen a ghost and crawled backward on her hands and feet until her back hit the wall.

"How... is it you?" Qin Yi's finger trembled as she pointed at Yun Jin, her voice trembling with tension. "You... weren't you dead? I clearly added a large dose of poison, how could you still be alive!"

Seeing her like this, Yun Jin rolled her eyes. "Yes, I died, but I died with my eyes wide open and crawled out of hell to find you!"

"How is this possible?" Qin Yi was on the verge of a mental breakdown. She grabbed something and threw it at Yun Jin with all her might. "It's all because of you! It's all because of you, you monster! That's why I'm in such a miserable state now! You've ruined my life!"

"Is that so?" Yun Jin easily dodged gracefully, her tone full of mockery. "I feel that without me, you wouldn't even have met Zhang Shuo, let alone have any interaction with him!"

Qin Yi gritted her teeth, staring fiercely at Yun Jin.

"If it weren't for me, how could Zhang Shuo have been interested in you, how could he have let you be his mistress? At least for this reason, you should thank me." Yun Jin's voice was ghostly, pressing closer with each step.

Qin Yi was thrown into a state of confusion by what she was being said and instinctively wanted to escape, but she was stopped by Yun Jin as soon as she moved.

"Don't go! You'd better thank me properly," Yun Jin said, sweeping her big tail across the ground. "By the way, you didn't know that Zhang Shuo and Xie Xinrou have a child, did you? And you didn't know that Zhang Shuo's house is in the south of the city, did you?"

Yun Jin's words struck Qin Yi like a thunderbolt.

"It must be you! You're the one who did this! Isn't it?" Qin Yi stammered, directing all her hatred at Yun Jin. "You're the one who brought that Xie guy over here, forcing Zhang Shuo into this state, aren't you?"

Yun Jin looked up at the clock on the wall and guessed that it was about time.

Sure enough, a familiar figure appeared at the door.

"What happened here?" Qin An frowned as soon as he entered the door, looking at the messy living room and Qin Yi lying on the floor. "Sis, what's wrong?"

Upon seeing her younger sister, Qin Yi lunged at her as if she had found a lifeline, grabbing her leg and pointing at Yun Jin with a trembling finger, shouting in a shrill voice, "She...she's a monster! We need to call the police and kill her!"

"Call the police!" Qin An forcefully pulled her hand away, his face turning extremely serious. "You really went to poison the program? You were the one who did everything that happened on the show?"

Qin Yi then noticed that Qin An was holding a thick stack of test reports. She was stunned for a moment, but still forced herself to say, "Yes, I poisoned her, but so what? She's a monster! She deserves to die!"

"You monster? I think you're the monster! You want to kill someone!" Qin An trembled with rage, utterly disappointed in Qin Yi. "Someone like you... I shouldn't have brought you back in the first place!"

These words struck Qin Yi like a slap in the face, causing her hand to fall limply and her eyes to become empty.

Qin An looked at her, the last trace of warmth in his eyes vanishing: "Go to the mental hospital yourself! Come out when you've figured out what you're doing!"

"How could you do this to me? I'm your sister!" Qin Yi screamed in despair, unwilling to accept her fate.

"I've done everything I could!" Qin An interrupted her without backing down. "Attempted murder is a serious crime! You choose whether you want to go to jail or to the hospital!"

Yun Jin sighed softly, gave Qin An a deep look, nodded to her, and then leaped out of the window.

Qin An watched her leave and nodded slightly.

Only a distraught Qin Yi and a cold-faced Qin An remained in the living room.

Qin Yi seemed to realize something. She looked up at her sister and murmured, "Do you know that cat demon?"
